  • Effect of some process variables including area reduction, stroke advance, materials on the extrusion load, plastic flow and height ratio of upper to lower extruded parts in the cup-cup axisymmetric extrusion were experimentally investigated and analyzed. Deformed pattern is visualized by grid-marking technique using half-cut billets splitted. The influence of using split specimen and original specimen on the extrusion load and height ratio is examined by experiment.

HMM 기반의 TTS를 위한 상호유사도 비율을 이용한 결정트리 기반의 문맥 군집화 (Decision Tree Based Context Clustering with Cross Likelihood Ratio for HMM-based TTS)

  • 본 논문은 HMM 기반의 TTS 시스템을 위하여 상호유사도 비율을 이용한 결정트리 기반의 문맥 군집화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 알고리즘들은 유사한 통계적 특성을 가지는 문맥종속 HMM을 하나로 묶고 있다. 그러나 기존의 알고리즘들은 결정트리의 나누어진 노드간의 통계적 유사도를 고려하지 않음으로 인하여 최종 노드 사이의 통계적인 차이를 보장하지 못한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 분리된 노드들 간의 통계적 유사도를 최소화하여 모델 파라미터의 신뢰도를 향상시킨다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안한 알고리즘이 기존의 알고리즘들에 비해 우수한 성능을 나타낸다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

SH-EMAT에 의한 Digital 신호처리에 관한 연구 (A study on the digital signal processing by shear horizontal-electro magnetic acoustic transducer)

  • In this study by using EMAT(electro magnetic acoustic transducer)the artificial slit is installed on 12B-SUS pipe test piece. By making 4 cycle SH-burst (EMA) incidence to 45 .deg. angle, the signal data of pulse, received from EMAT are translated into digital-signal-processing- method SSP(Split Spectrum Processing) and Deconvolution method. The main conclusions obtained are as follows; (1) the signal data received from EMAT are translated with digital signal proc- essing of SSP-method and Deconvolution-method and this method shows exellent results more than Ultrasonic testing method does; (2) noise can well be removed by SSP with signal data, and resolution and S/N ratio are advanced; (3) when used with Ultrasonic wave general stainless steel has proporties of multiscattering and reflection phenomena, but resolution is progressed by using Deconvolution method;and (4) as addition-averaging-processing mumber is increasing, the resolution and S/N ratio are improved and the satisfactory signal is obtained.

터보펌프 터빈 로터의 슈라우드 스플릿이 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Shroud Split on the Performance of a Turbopump Turbine Rotor)

  • 액체로켓 엔진의 시동과 종료 시, 터빈에 가해지는 열충격을 완화시키기 위해 초음속 충동형 터빈로터의 일체형 슈라우드를 여러 조각으로 분할하는 방법을 고안하였다. 구조해석 수행결과 슈라우드 분할은 동익의 허브와 팁에 나타나는 소성변형량을 크게 줄일 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 슈라우드 분할은 의도하지 않은 누설손실로 인해 성능손실이 불가피하며 이에 대한 정량적인 성능감소를 측정하기 위해 다양한 슈라우드 분할 형상에 대해 시험을 수행하였다. 연구대상 터빈의 경우 슈라우드 분할 수를 최대로 할 경우 설계점 효율은 2.65% 비율로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

하악지 시상절단술시 견고 고정 나사의 골편간/골내 길이 및 비율에 대한 연구 (A STUDY ON BONE-CONTACT TO INTER-SEGMENTAL LENGTH RATIO OF RIGID FIXATION SCREWS USED IN BSSRO FOR MANDIBULAR SETBACK)

  • Objective: To evaluate the ratio between bone-contact length and inter-segmental length of the rigid fixation screw used in bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (BSSRO) for mandibular setback. Material and Methods: Records of 40 patients with Class III malocclusion were selected. 20 of them had BSSRO, while the other 20 had BSSRO with maxillary LeFort I osteotomy. All of the patients had three noncompressive bicortical screws inserted at the gonial angle through transcutaneous approach. Two screws were inserted antero-posteriorly above inferior alveolar nerve and one screw was inserted below. The lengths of bone-contact and that of inter-segmental part were measured using cone-beam computed tomography. Ratio between these two measured lengths was calculated. Results: Both bone-contact and inter-segmental lengths were longer in BSSRO group than in BSSRO with maxillary LeFort I osteotomy group. Ratio of bone-contact to inter-segmental length was lower in BSSRO group than in BSSRO with Lefort I group. Both bone-contact and inter-segmental lengths were longer at the antero-superior position than at the inferior position. However, their ratio showed little difference. Conclusion: This study suggest that stability of screws in BSSRO group was greater than in BSSRO with Lefort I group. Stability of screws at the antero-superior position was greater than at the inferior position. Ratio of bone-contact to inter-segmental lengths was 0.2 in average.

99mTc-MAG3를 이용한 상대적 신장 기능 평가 시 신장 깊이에 따른 기하평균 적용의 유용성 평가 (Utility Evaluation on Application of Geometric Mean Depending on Depth of Kidney in Split Renal Function Test Using 99mTc-MAG3)

  • $^{99}mTc-MAG_3$ 동적 신장 검사는 $^{99}mTc-MAG_3$를 이용하여 방사성 의약품이 신장에 섭취되고 배설되는 과정을 멈춤 없이 동적으로 영상화 하는 방법이다. 검사 시작 후 1~2.5분 사이 좌우 신장에서의 비율을 측정하여 상대적 신장기능비를 측정할 수 있으며, 총 신장 기능을 기준으로 상대적 신장기능비를 비율로 나타낼 수 있다. 본 연구는 일반적인 신장 검사 방법인 후면 검출기만 이용해 계수된 데이터로 구해진 상대적 신장기능비와 전면, 후면 검출기 모두로 계수한 뒤 기하평균을 이용해 얻어진 데이터로 구해진 상대적 신장기능비를 비교하여, 좌우 신장 깊이 차이가 상대적 신장기능비에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 기하평균의 신장 깊이차에 따른 감쇠 보정 효과의 유용성에 대해 연구하고자 한다. 2015년 7월부터 2016년 2월 사이에 $^{99}mTc-MAG_3$ 동적 신장 검사를 시행한 33명의 환자(남자 13명, 여자 20명, 평균나이 44.66세, 범위 5세~70세, 평균키 160.40 cm, 평균 몸무게 55.40 kg)를 대상으로 하였다. 신장 깊이를 측정한 결과. 왼쪽 신장은 평균 65.82 mm, 오른쪽 신장은 71.62 mm로 나타났다. 33명의 환자들 중 30명의 환자에게서 전면과 후면 검출기로 계수하여 기하평균을 적용한 상대적 신장기능비가 후면 검출기로만 얻어진 정보를 가지고 구해진 상대적 신장기능비보다 깊게 위치한 신장의 비가 상승하고, 얕게 위치하고 있는 신장의 비가 떨어지는 결과가 나왔다. 깊게 위치하고 있는 신장과 검출기 사이의 감쇠가 보정된 결과라고 사료되며, 신장 혹은 신장 주변에 병변이 있는 경우, 척추의 기형, 이소 신장의 경우, 이식신장을 가지고 있는 환자 중 본래의 신장을 제거하지 않은 환자의 경우 등 좌우 신장의 깊이 차이가 나는 경우 깊게 위치하고 있는 신장의 비를 보정해 주어 기존에 일반적으로 시행되어지고 있는 검사 방법(후면 검출기 계수)과 비교했을 때, 정확한 상대적 신장기능비를 계산할 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

Strength and Some Durability Properties of Concrete Containing Rice Husk Ash Produced in a Charcoal Incinerator at Low Specific Surface

  • Strength and some durability properties of concrete containing rice husk ash (RHA) predominantly composed of amorphous silica at a specific surface of 235 $m^2/kg$ produced using a charcoal incinerator were determined. The maximum ordinary Portland cement (OPC) replacement with the RHA increased with increase in water/binder (w/b) ratio of the concrete mixes. The results show that 15 % OPC could be substituted by the RHAwithout strength loss at w/b ratio of 0.50. The split tensile strength generally increased with increase in RHA content for the mixes.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the soft tissue changes in skeletal class II patients after mandibular advancement by bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (BSSRO). In Asian population, the incidence of skeletal class II malocclusion is lower than that of skeletal class III malocclusion unlike the caucasians. This study was conducted to figure out the ratio at which hard tissue and soft tissue changes after mandibular advancement by analyzing cephalograms of 13 patients that have undergone the mandibular advancement surgery. As a result, change ratios of Li, B', Pog' according to the movement of li, B, Pog were found to be 0.59, 1.06, 0.82. Also, vertical height of vermilion zone (Si-Vb) and lower lip and chin (Si-Me') were measured to evaluate vertical changes. Vermilion zone showed tendency to decrease by 1.02 mm on the average postoperatively, whereas vertical length of lower lip and chin showed tendency to increase by 3.57 mm on the average.

Experimental Study on the Input Coupled type CVT combined a Differential Gear and V-Belt type CVU

  • A continuously variable transmission(CVT) mechanism composed of one differential gear unit and one continuously variable unit(CVU) can be classified according to the coupling of CVU and the direction of power flows. The mechanism has many advantages which are the decrease of CVT size, the increase of overall efficiency, the extension of speed ratio range and generation of geared neutral. The CVT mechanism considered here is the input coupled type which combines the functions of a 2K-H I type differential gear unit and a V-belt type CVU. One shaft of the CVU is connected directly to the input shaft and another shaft of it is linked to the differential gear unit. It is shown that some fundamental relations(speed ratios, power flows and efficiencies) for twelve mechanisms previously described are valid by various experimental studies, six of them produce a power circulation and the others produce a power split. Some useful comparisons between theoretical analysis and experimental results are presented. General properties also are discussed, which connect following power flow modes : (a) power circulation mode; (b) power split mode.

Stability analysis of prestressed stayed steel columns with split-up crossarm systems

  • A Prestressed stayed steel column is an efficient and lightweight way with regard to enhancing the stability behaviour of a compression column. In the past, researchers primarily concentrated on investigating the behaviour of stayed steel columns with horizontal crossarms. However, this article focuses on prestressed stayed steel columns with split-up crossarm system, in which the crossarms are aslant and rotational symmetrically arranged. A mathematical formula calculating the optimal pretension that corresponds to the maximum critical buckling load was established according to geometric analysis based on the small deformation assumption. It was demonstrated that critical buckling mode of this stayed column is different from the one with horizontal crossarms. The governing imperfection direction that should be adopted in the nonlinear buckling analysis was determined in this work. In addition, the effects of crossarm inclination, stay diameter, and crossarm length on the stability behaviour were investigated. An influencing factor denotes the ratio of the load carrying capacity of the prestressed stayed steel column to the Euler load of the main column was also obtained.
