MB-OFDM UWB system will adopt LDPC codes to enhance the decoding performance with higher data rates. In this paper, we will consider algorithm and architecture of the LDPC codes in MB-OFDM UWB system. To suggest the hardware efficient LDPC decoder architecture, LLR(log-likelihood-ration) calculation algorithms and check node update algorithms are analyzed. And we proposed the architecture of LDPC decoder for the high throughput application of Wimedia UWB. We estimated the feasibility of the proposed architecture by implementation in a FPGA. The implementation results show our architecture attains higher throughput than other result of QC-LDPC case. Using this architecture, we can implement LDPC decoder for high throughput transmission, but it is 0.2dB inferior to the BP algorithm.

Among various wavelength conversion technologies, that using the cross-gain modulation in laser diode makes it possible to deal with the high speed signal quite simply and efficiently. In this paper, presented was the applicability of an improved time-domain large-signal dynamic model as a CAD tool to analyzed the characteristics of SSGDBR(Superstructure Grating Distributed Bragg Reflector) laser diodes used for wavelength converters. Using this model, it was shown that this kind of wavelength converter can provide the widely tunable wavelength conversion of the high speed data above 10 Gbps. We also investigated the effect of input optical power and the bias current on the characteristics of the device such as extinction ration and eye diagram. The modeling results show very similar trend to the experimental reports.

To reject the Doppler frequency spectrum dispersion of clutter caused by high-speed antenna rotation of MTI radar system due to terrain characteristics, signal processing parameters(MTI filter constant, M/N detector ration, K-factor and offset of CFAR) are adjusted for the optimal elimination of the ground clutter. For this investigation, logging equipment is designed and utilized for the collection of classified ground clutter data. Test case is devised through Matlab simulation for the classified analysis and optimization of clutter rejection. Then indoor radar test and outside test in accordance with terrain characteristics are repeatedly performed for the verification of the test. This whole process is through the evolutional development model and repeated for the optimization. Final result is that ground-clutter rejection capability is 5.6 times(7.5 dB) better than that of existing radar system.

R and the memory scope was sticked to the electric spark machine. 5) In order to preserve the precision of current, to get rid of the noise occured by internal resistance of electric spark machine and to force injecting for the discharge fluid , it made the fixed table for a work piece to minimize the work error by means of one's failure during the electric discharging.
This study aims to see some prosodic features of English spoken by Japanese learners of English. It focuses on speech rates, pauses, and intonation when the learners read an English passage. Three Japanese learners of English, who are all male university students, were asked to read the speech material, an English passage of 110 word length, at their normal reading speed. Then a native speaker of English, a male American English teacher. was asked to read the same passage. The Japanese speakers were also asked to read a Japanese passage of 286 letters (Japanese Kana) to compare the reading of English with that of japanese. Their speech was analyzed on a computerized system (KAY Computerized Speech Lab). Wave forms, spectrograms, and F0 contours were shown on the screen to measure the duration of pauses, phrases and sentences and to observe intonation contours. One finding of the experiment was that the movement of the low speakers' speech rates showed a similar tendency in their reading of the English passage. Reading of the Japanese passage by the three learners also had a similar tendency in the movement of speech rates. Another finding was that the frequency of pauses in the learners speech was greater than that in the speech of the native speaker, but that the ration of the total pause length to the whole utterance length was about tile same in both the learners' and the native speaker's speech. A similar tendency was observed about the learners' reading of the Japanese passage except that they used shorter pauses in the mid-sentence position. As to intonation contours, we found that the learners used a narrower pitch range than the native speaker in their reading of the English passage while they used a wider pitch range as they read the Japanese passage. It was found that the learners tended to use falling intonation before pauses whereas the native speaker used different intonation patterns. These findings are applicable to the teaching of English pronunciation at the passage level in the sense that they can show the learners. Japanese here, what their problems are and how they could be solved.

Deep-frying pork cutlets contains high fat and calories and can cause obesity, even though it has a high preference among young consumers in Korea. In this study, we have investigated the use of oven cooking method and is studying quality characteristics of pork cutlets for the contribute to improving national health. For the replace the deep-frying method, the pork cutlet was using canola oil added brown crumbs and optimization the oven cooking time, temperature, relative humidity, fan speed. The fat content and calories of oven pork cutlet reduced by 55.4% and 28.6% respectively(P<0.05), when compared to frying method. In a color experiment, texture characteristics and separation ration of batter, oven pork cutlet has no difference(P>0.05), in a sensory characteristics, overall taste has no different (P>0.05) with frying pork cutlet. Therefore, if pork cutlet cooking by oven with optimized condition, without impoverishment of consumer's preference because of the taste similarity with frying pork cutlet and these results may be helpful to people who need dietary treatment.
The final aim of this study is to develop a biofiltration system integrated with plant vegetation for improving indoor air quality effectively depending on indoor space and characteristics. However, to approach this final goal, several requirements such as constant pressure drops (PDs) and soil moisture contents (SMCs), which influence the capacity design for a proper ventilation rate of biofiltration system, should be satisfied. Thus, this fundamental experiment was carried out to adjust a proper wind speed and to ensure a stabilization of initial SMCs within biofilter for uniform distribution of SMCs and PDs, and for normal plant growth, especially avoiding root stress by wind. Therefore, we designed horizontal biofliter models and manufactured them, and then calculated the ventilation rate, air residence time, and air-liquid ration based on the biofilter depending on three levels of wind speed (1, 2, and $3cm{\cdot}s^{-1}$). The relative humidity (RH) and PD of the humidified air coming out through the soil within the biofilter, and SMC of the soil and plant growth parameters of lettuce and duffy fern grown within biofilter were measured depending on the three levels of wind speed. As a result of wind speed test, $3{\cdot}sec^{-1}$ was suitable to keep up a proper RH, SMC, and plant growth. Thus, the next experiment was set up to be two levels of initial SMCs (low and high initial SMC, 18.5 and 28.7%) within each biofilter operated and a non-biofiltered control (initial SMC, 29.7%) on the same wind speed ($3cm{\cdot}sec^{-1}$), and measured on the RH and PD of the air coming out through the soil within the biofilter, and SMC of the soil and plant growth parameters of Humata tyermani grown within biofilter. This result was similar to the first results on RHs, SMCs, and PDs keeping up with constant levels, and three SMCs did not show any significant difference on plant growth parameters. However, two biofiltered SMCs enhanced dry weights of the plants slightly than non-biofiltered SMC. Thus, the stability of this biofiler system keeping up major physical factors (SMC and PD) deserved to be adopted for designing an advanced integrated biofilter model in the near future.

The weight of pig is one of the main factors in determining the health and growth state of pigs, their shipment, the breeding environment, and the ration of feed, and thus measuring the pig's weight is an important issue in productivity perspective. In order to estimate the pig's weight by using the number of pig's pixels from images, acquired from a Top-view camera, the posture determining and the head removal from images are necessary to measure the accurate number of pixels. In this research, we propose the fast and accurate method to determine the pig's posture by using a fast image processing technique, find the head location by using a fast deep learning technique, and remove pig's head by using light weighted image processing technique. First, we determine the pig's posture by comparing the length from the center of the pig's body to the outline of the pig in the binary image. Then, we train the location of pig's head, body, and hip in images using YOLO(one of the fast deep learning based object detector), and then we obtain the location of pig's head and remove an outside area of head by using head location. Finally, we find the boundary of head and body by using Convex-hull, and we remove pig's head. In the Experiment result, we confirmed that the pig's posture was determined with an accuracy of 0.98 and a processing speed of 250.00fps, and the pig's head was removed with an accuracy of 0.96 and a processing speed of 48.97fps.

Previous studies have estimated crash prediction models with the fixed effect model which assumes the fixed value of coefficients without considering characteristics of each intersections. However the fixed effect model would estimate under estimation of the standard error resulted in over estimation of t-value. In order to overcome these shortcomings, the random effect model can be used with considering heterogeneity of AADT, geometric information and unobserved factors. In this study, data collections from 89 intersections in Daejeon and estimates of crash prediction models were conducted using the random and fixed effect negative binomial regression model for comparison and analysis of two models. As a result of model estimates, AADT, speed limits, number of lanes, exclusive right turn pockets and front traffic signal were found to be significant. For comparing statistical significance of two models, the random effect model could be better statistical significance with -1537.802 of log-likelihood at convergence comparing with -1691.327 for the fixed effect model. Also likelihood ration value was computed as 0.279 for the random effect model and 0.207 for the fixed effect model. This mean that the random effect model can be improved for statistical significance of models comparing with the fixed effect model.
