용융아연도금라인에서 에어나이프 형상패턴 변경에 의한 단부과도금 진단 (Diagnosis of Edge overcoating by Air Knife Pattern Modification in CGL)

  • Air wiping technique is widely used because of easy and efficient coating control in present CGL The coating weight is controlled by nozzle header pressure. strip line speed, and the distance between strip and nozzle. Coating defects are resulted from the unbalance of these control factors and the inaccuracy of coating equipments. We investigates the main cause of coating defects, such as edge overcoating and coating deviation through various experiments. It is found that the edge overcoating is mainly come from nozzle lip type, and the coating deviation is caused by the unbalance of dynamic pressure.

주행속도선택 기반 주행위험도 평가방법론 개발 (차내 교통안전정보 제공 효과 평가를 중심으로) (A Methodology for Driving Risk Evaluation Based on Driving Speed Choice (Focusing on Impacts of Providing In-vehicle Traffic Warning Information))

  • 본 연구에서는 Solomon이 제안한 속도편차 (주행속도와 평균속도와의 차) 개념을 이용하여 주행위험도를 정립하고, 순서프로빗모형을 이용하여 주행속도선택 기반 주행위험도평가모델을 개발한다. 제안모델을 고속도로의 차내 교통안전정보 제공효과 평가실험에 적용하여, 주행위험에 미치는 다양한 요인의 효과를 분석한 결과, 다음과 같은 연구결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 남성이 여성보다, 경력 운전자가 초보 운전자보다, 교통사고의 경험이 적은 운전자가 고속도로를 안전하게 주행할 확률이 높다. 둘째, 고속도로를 오후에 주행하는 경우, 도로표면이 젖어있는 경우, 교통량이 한산하여 서비스수준이 너무 좋은 경우 주행위험도는 증가한다. 셋째, 경사진 회전구간을 주행하는 경우와 도로연장이 긴 곡선부 구간을 주행하는 경우 주행위험도는 증가한다. 한편, 주행위험도 증가는 차내 교통안전정보를 제공함으로써 어느 정도 감소될 수 있는 것으로 나타나 차내 교통안전정보의 제공의 중요성이 확인되었다. 본 제안 모델은 새로 도입된 교통안전시설물의 교통안전도 효과를 평가 시 교통사고 자료가 부족하거나 없는 경우 교통안전도를 평가하는데 활용할 수 있다.

탄소강의 펄라이트 분율에 따른 미끄럼 마멸속도 편차 분석 (Analysis of Mean Deviation in Sliding-wear-rate of Carbon Steel with Various Pearlite Volume Fractions)

  • The current investigation was performed to study sliding-wear-rate deviation (wear-rate data scatter) in carbon steels with various microstructures. Pure iron, 0.2 wt. % C steel, 0.45 wt. % C steel, and bearing steel (AISI52100) were used for the investigation. These steels possess different microstructures. Microstructures of the pure iron, two carbon steel and the bearing steel were full ferrite, ferrite + pearlite and full pearlite, respectively. Depending on the carbon content, the carbon steel had different pearlite-volume fractions. Dry sliding wear tests of the steel were conducted using a ball-on-disk wear tester at a sliding speed of 0.1 m/s using a bearing ball (AISI52100) as a counterpart. Applied load and sliding distance were 100 N and 300 m, respectively. More than three (up to twelve) tests were conducted for each steel under the same conditions, and the mean deviations in the wear rate of the steel (microstructure) were compared. The wear-rate deviation in the steel with ferrite + pearlite microstructure was higher than that with ferrite microstructure, and the deviation decreased with the increase of pearlite volume fraction. The pure iron and the bearing steel specimens showed much less deviation. The high deviation observed from the ferrite + pearlite steel was attributed to irregular subsurface-crack nucleation and growth at the interface between the two micro constituents (ferrite and pearlite) during the wear test.

항만과 수로의 제한속력 개선방안에 관한 기초 연구 (A Fundamental Study on the Improvements of Speed Limit at the Ports and Fairways in Korea)

  • 해상에서 제한속력은 항만 정온도(Calmness) 유지와 원활한 교통흐름 유도, 해양사고 방지에 목적이 있다. 우리나라는 현재 19개 항만에서 제한속력을 지정하여 사용 중에 있으나, 제한속력 적절성과 설정 기준에 대하여 문제가 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 현재 시행중인 제한속력에 대한 검토와 제한속력 설정 기준과 표준 모델 개발의 필요성을 확인하기 위한 기초 연구로서, 우리나라 항만과 접근수로에 대한 제한속력과 선박 통항 실태를 조사 분석하였다. 조사 분석 결과 전체 평균 48 %의 위반율을 보이고 있었으며 여객선과 5.000톤 이상의 중 대형 선박에서 위반율이 높았다. 또한 평균속력이 제한속력 보다 높은 지역이 있었으며 선박간의 속력 편차도 4.2-5.2노트로 조사되었다. 평균속력과 속력 편차가 높은 항만일수록 해양사고율도 높았다. 따라서 선박 통항속력 관리에 대한 제도적 검토와 개선이 필요한 실정이다.

  • Ultra-abrasives such as diamond and CBN have used to maintain accuracy and form deviation for superalloy etc. This study contains the dry cylindrical grinding of metals with Vitrified-bond CBN wheel. For various conditions of grinding speed, workpiece speed, grinding depth and feed speed of table, the grinding resistance, the surface roughness, and the material removal are measured and discussed.   • An analytical study was carried out to investigate the performance of an oil pumping system of a variable speed compressor using a commercial CFD program. The simulations for the oil supplying system with the oil and air mixture were performed by varying compressor speed from 40 Hz to 90 Hz. Comparing the predicted with the measured data on the modified scroll compressor validated the simulation model. The predicted results were consistent with the test data with a maximum deviation of 12.8%. The oil flow rate significantly increased with a rise of compressor speed due to a higher oil flow rate from the swing pump and a greater centrifugal force on oil gallery.

  • New rolling speed prediction model has been developed for the precise presetting rolling speed of each finishing mill stand in the tandem hot strip mill. Those factors such as neutral point, work roll diameter, rolling torque, friction coefficient, bite angle and the thickness at each side of entry and deliver of the rolls were taken into account. To consider width effect on forward slip, calibration factors obtained from rolling torque has been added to new prediction model and refining method has also been developed to reduce the speed unbalance between adjacent stands. The application of the new model showed a good agreement in rolling speeds between the predictions and the actual measurements, and the standard deviation of prediction error has also been significantly reduced.

  • In this study, the estimate speed of rotor in the induction motor with Model Reference Adaptive control System (MARC) principle and to study that vector control system feedbacks speed estimated to speed control system and its result is as follows; Considering with explanation an influence of speed estimation mechanism depend on error about the second resistance size established, it estimates the deviation of the second resistance establishment and exhibits a compensation method, what is more, it designs a reparation program using the fuzzy algorithm and testifies the result with the computer simulation. And besides, it composes the load torque estimation and estimates the load torque, as the result, feedback-compensating the result of estimation, it improves the efficiency. In consequence, it makes a good result for more powerful vector control system about the outside trouble.

  • Questionnaire survey on performance requirement of ship’s speed such as not only accuracy but also response and robustness were carried out, and the experiments to survey the GPS performances of static and dynamic characteristics were carried out simultaneously. In this paper, the questionnaire survey focusing on docking maneuvering, some analytic results of the survey, the results of GPS performance, and the possibility of adaptation for docking maneuvering on SDME and GPS are discussed. Consequently, from the results of questionnaire survey the performance requirement of ship’s speed in docking/anchoring maneuvering have need under 1cm/sec on the standard deviation, and speed information from GPS was adopted to use maneuvering information in docking/anchoring.

  • Bacause the chatter vibration is a main factor to damage on the quality and integrity, The cure is required peticurity in cykinderical plunge grinding. The chatter vibration relatied with wheel speed, workpiece and infeed rate. Therefore, we expressed more credible normal signal and chatter signal Pattern in accrdiance with wheel speed and acquired RMS signal of the accelerrometer. In thos study, after finding the chatter pattern, we applied two parameters, standard deviation and Kurtosis, to Neural Network.
