In this paper, a triply-encoded Hadamard transform imaging spectrometer is proposed by applying the grill spectrometer to the Hadamard transform imaging spectrometer. The proposed system encodes the input radiation triply ; once through the input image mask and twice through the two masks in the grill spectrometer. We use an electro-optical mask in the grill spectrometer which is controlled by a left-cyclic simplex matrix. Then we modeled the system using $D^{-1}$ method. In this paper, the average mean square error associated with a recovered estimate is considered for performance evaluation. The relative performance is compared with those of the other conventional systems.
The purposes of spectroscopy in astronomy are to measure the radiation flux of the spectroscopic emission or absorption line and to measure the dynamical parameters of the line profile. In order to use an appropriate instrument for the scientific purpose, we need to understand the characteristics of various spectrometers, e.g., a prism spectrometer, a grating spectrometer, and a Fabry-Perot spectrometer (FPS), which are being used in ultra-violet, optical, and infrared bands. The FabryPerot spectrometer is not very popular compared to the grating spectrometer, because of its complex and tricky operations. The Fabry-Perot spectrometer, however, can get a two-dimensional image at one exposure, so we can study radiation mechanisms and dynamical properties of extended sources, e.g., clusters, nebula, and galaxies.
A spatial-domain Fourier Transform (FT) infrared (IR) spectrometer coupled with a PtSi Schottkybarrier IR detector plane was developed in the spectral range of $2.0-2.5{\mu}m$ for noninvasive measurement of analyte concentrations in cell culture media during cell culture processing. A key optical component of the spectrometer is a Savart plate which is a birefringent polarizer generating coherent two rays for interfering. The spectral resolution of the spectrometer was determined as $71cm^{-1}$ (${\~}0.05{\mu}m$ at $2.5{\mu}m$). Clear IR fringe patterns were imaged on the IR detector plane. The feasibility of the spectrometer for our application was investigated by measuring absorbance spectra of glucose and fetal bovine serum (FBS) which are important compounds in cell culture media. Experiment results show that the spectral quality of glucose and FBS was comparable with the standard spectra acquired with a commercial FT-IR spectrometer, presenting the feasibility of the spectrometer to perform analyte measurement in cell culture media.

In this study, an ultraviolet Raman spectrometer was designed and fabricated to detect chemical contamination on the ground. The region of the Raman spectrum that indicated the characteristics of the chemicals was $350-3800cm^{-1}$. To fabricate a Raman spectrometer operating in this range, the layout and angle of optical components of the spectrometer were designed using a grating equation. Experimental devices were configured to measure the Raman spectra of chemicals based on the fabricated Raman spectrometer. The wavenumber of the spectrometer was calibrated by measuring the Raman spectrum of polytetrafluoroethylene, $O_2$, and $N_2$. The spectral range of the spectrometer was measured to be 23.46 nm ($3442cm^{-1}$) with a resolution of 0.195 nm ($30.3cm^{-1}$) at 253.65 nm. After calibration, the main Raman peaks of cyclohexane, methanol, and acetonitrile were found to be similar to the references within a relative error of 0.55%.
It is to use many plastic materials as living essential goods. But when the fire is happened, owing to noxious gases, many men should be injured. Therefore as the noxious gases are measured by open path FT-IR spectrometer as remote monitoring, the demage of men could be minimized. Such this system consists of a Fourier transform spectrometer and infrared lamp fitted to long length. The study was to do the quantitative analysis on CO, $NO_2$, HCl, HF gas by remote monitoring open path FT-IR spectrometer. And the method of it should use MLR (multiple linearity regression) method. As result, It was confirmed to be more than 0.95 as $R^2$ of MLR. And then Urethane and PVC of plastic materials selected was burned, the concentration of polluted gases were measured by remote monitoring method.
Purpose : In order to overcome limitations in the existing conventional spectrometer, a new spectrometer with advanced functionalities is designed and implemented. Materials and Methods : We designed a spectrometer using the TMS320C6701 DSP capable of 1 giga floating point operations per second (GFLOPS). The spectrometer can generate continuously varying complicate gradient waveforms by real-time calculation, and select image plane interactively. The designed spectrometer is composed of two parts: one is DSP-based digital control part, and the other is analog part generating gradient and RF waveforms, and performing demodulation of the received RF signal. Each recover board can measure 4 channel FID signals simultaneously for parallel imaging, and provides fast reconstruction using the high speed DSP. Results : The developed spectrometer was installed on a 1.5 Tesla whole body MRI system, and performance was tested by various methods. The accurate phase control required in digital modulation and demodulation was tested, and multi-channel acquisition was examined with phase-array coil imaging. Superior image quality is obtained by the developed spectrometer compared to existing commercial spectrometer especially in the fast spin echo images. Conclusion : Interactive control of the selection planes and real-time generation of gradient waveforms are important functions required for advanced imaging such as spiral scan cardiac imaging. Multi-channel acquisition is also highly demanding for parallel imaging. In this paper a spectrometer having such functionalities is designed and developed using the TMS320C6701 DSP having 1 GFLOPS computational power. Accurate phase control was achieved by the digital modulation and demodulation techniques. Superior image qualities are obtained by the developed spectrometer for various imaging techniques including FSE, GE, and angiography compared to those obtained by the existing commercial spectrometer.

In this paper, a Hadamard transform imaging spectrometer(HTIS) is proposed by using a grill spectrometer. And we reconfigure the system by using the grill sectrometer which uses a left cyclic S-matrix instead of the conventional right cyclic one. Then, we model the Hadamard transform imaging spectrometer and apply the mask characteristics compensation method, i.e. $ {T}^{-1}$ method, to complete fast algorithm. Also, through computer simulations the superiority of the proposed system in this paper to the conventional Hadamard transform spectrometer(HTS) is proved and the performance of the two systems are compared by introducing average mean square error(AMSE) as the algebraic criterion.
We have surveyed on microcalorimetry which we can treat with energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS) as wavelength dispersive spectrometer(WDS), to be developed in order to make higher energy resolution as to detect X-ray peak as high as wavelength dispersive spectrometer(WDS). When we take into consideration about energy resolution, Wavelength dispersive spectrometer is 2~20eV and energy dispersive spectrometer is 140~180eV.
A novel hyperspectral imaging spectrometer controlling spatial and spectral resolution individually has been proposed. This imaging spectrometer uses a zoom lens as a telescope and a focusing element. It can change the spatial resolution fixing the spectral resolution or the spectral resolution fixing the spatial resolution. Here, we report the concept of the hyperspectral imaging spectrometer with the novel zooming function and the optical design of a zoom lens as the focusing element. By using lens module and third-order aberration theory, we have presented the initial design of four-group zoom lens with external entrance pupil. And the optimized zoom lens with a focal length of 50 to 150 mm is obtained from the initial design by the optical design software. As a result, the designed zoom lens shows satisfactory performances in wavelength range of 450 to 900 nm as a focusing element in an imaging spectrometer. Furthermore, the collimator lens of the imaging spectrometer is designed through the third-order aberration correction by using an iterative process.
Continuous on-line monitoring of cell concentration and growth rate in aerobic batch fermentation process was carried out by analyzing the exhaust gas composition of tormentor with a quadrupole mass spectrometer. From the mass spectrometric analyses of major gaseous components, i.e. $N_2$, $O_2$, $CO_2$ and $H_2O$, and the material balance equations for oxygen and carbon dioxide, oxygen uptake rate (OUR) rind carbon dioxide evolution rate (CER) were instantaneously calculated using a computer (16-bit IBM PC-AT) interfaced to a quadrupole mass spectrometer. The calculated OUR and CER data were used for the estimation of cell concentration and growth rate of Candida utilis during batch culture. It was found that the cell concentration could be satisfactorily estimated from the data of OUR arid CER during the culture and this method could be successfully und for the continuous monitoring of cell growth and growth rate.
