항공기 배기 플룸의 파장별 IR 신호 해석 (Spectral Infrared Signature Analysis of the Aircraft Exhaust Plume)

  • 추진기관 배기 플룸의 적외선 복사(Infrared radiation :IR) 신호는 항공기 생존성에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인이다. 항공기의 생존성 향상을 위해 IR 감소 설계 기술이 적용된 추진기관의 정확한 IR 신호 예측이 필요하다. 본 연구는 유동 및 열전달 해석 코드를 이용하여 노즐 내부, 외부 자유류, 플룸 영역의 열유동장을 수치 해석하였다. 비회색가스의 특성을 효율적으로 해석하는 좁은밴드 기반의 재조합 회색가스가중합법을 적용하여 항공기 플룸에서 방사되는 파장별 IR 신호를 계산하였다. 개발된 프로그램의 정확성과 신뢰성을 확보하고자 1차원 모델에 대한 검증을 거친 후 항공기 추진기관의 열유동장 및 파장별 IR 신호 해석을 수행하였다. 해석을 통하여 상대적으로 플룸 내부에서 IR 복사강도가 높은 것을 확인하였고 온도, 분압, 화학종에 따라 다른 파장별 IR 신호 특성을 파악하였다. 노즐 출구 부근에서는 노즐 벽면의 고체 방사로 인하여 파장별 IR 복사강도가 연속적으로 나타났다.

Eu(Ⅲ) Luminescence Phase-Modulation Spectroscopy as a Site-Selective Probe of Y Zeolite

  • Phase shift spectroscopy is applied to Eu(Ⅲ) luminescence from $Eu^{3+}$-exchanged Y zeolite. The phase shift and intensity modulation of luminescence following intensity-modulated excitation are measured as a function of modulation frequency and they are fitted into a double exponential decay. The fast decay component, compared with the slow one, has narrower spectral bandwidth and is emitted from the $Eu^{3+}$ that has more polar and definite environment with higher symmetry and that interacts more easily with hydrated water molecules. The fast decay component is attributed to $Eu^{3+}$ at site Ⅱ' while the slow one to $Eu^{3+}$ at sites Ⅰ' and Ⅰ.

  • 본 연구에서는 상술한 특성을 갖는 유동자에 대하여 신뢰성이 보장된 스펙트 럼 추정법의 모색과 화립을 위해 의사 난류신호(turbulent-like signal)를 자기회기 모형(autoregressive model:AR model)으로 생성하고 추출간격이 유동장에 영향을 받는 비주기적 확률과정을 수치적으로 모사한다. 이 비주기적 실현 신호로 부터 현재 가 장 많이 사용되고 있는 Roberts와 Gaster의 직접 변화법과 추출 및 유지신호의 피리오 도그램(periodogram)법에 대해 데이터 밀도와 난류강도의 다양한 변화에 따른 속도편 의의 영향 등을 살펴보는데 목적을 둔다.

반무한보의 진동 인텐시티 계측에 대한 연구 (A Study on Structural Intensity Measurement of Semi-infinite Beam)

  • This paper investigated the practical use for measuring the structural intensity (power flow per width of cross section) in a uniform semi-infinite beam in flexural vibration. The structural intensity is obtained as a vector at a measurement point, One-dimensional structural intensity can be obtained from 4-point cross spectral measurement, or 2-point measurement on the assumption of far field. The measurement errors due to finite difference approximation and phase mismatch of accelerometers are examined. For precise measurements, it would be better to make the value of k$\delta$(wave number x space between accelerometers) between 0.5 and 1.0. Formulation of the relation between bending waves in structures and structural intensity makes it possible to separate the wave components by which one can get a state of the vibration field. Experimental results are obtained from 2- and 4-point measurement performed at 200mm (near field) and 400mm (far field) apart from excitation point in random excitation. the results are compared with the theoretical values and measured values of input power spectrum in order to verify the accuracy of structural intensity method, 2-point method is suggested as the practical structural intensity method.

회체가스중합모델에 기초한 연소가스의 파장별 복사 성질 (WSGGM-Based Spectral Modeling for Radiation Properties of Combustion Products)

  • This work describes the low-resolution spectral modeling of the water vapor, carbon dioxide and their mixtures by applying the weighted-sum-of-gray-gas-gases model (WSGGM) to each narrow band. Proper modeling scheme of gray gas absorption coefficients vs temperature relation is suggested. Comparison between the modeled emissivity calculated from this relation and the 'true' emissivity obtained from the high temperature statistical narrow band parameters is made for a few typical narrow bands. Low resolution spectral intensities from one-dimensional layers are also obtained and examined for uniform, parabolic and boundary layer type temperature profiles using the obtained WSGGM's with several gray gases. The results are compared with the narrow band spectral intensities obtained by a narrow band model-based code with Curtis-Godson approximation. Good agreement is found between them. Data bases including optimized modeling parameters and total and low-resolution spectral weighting factors are developed for water vapor, carbon dioxide and their mixtures. This model and obtained data bases, available from the authors' Internet site, can be appropriately applied to any radiative transfer equation solver.

  • Recently, Gonzalez-Audicana et al. proposed the substitute wavelet intensity (SWI) method which provided a solution based on the intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) method for the fusing of panchromatic (PAN) and multispectral (MS) images. Although the spectral quality of the fused MS images is enhanced, this method is not efficient enough to quickly merge massive volumes of data from satellite. To overcome this problem, we introduce a new SWI method based on a fast IHS transform to implement efficiently as an alternative procedure. In addition, we show that the method is well applicable for fusing IKONOS PAN with MS images.

Probabilistic seismic demand of isolated straight concrete girder highway bridges using fragility functions

  • In this study, it has been tried to prepare an analytical fragility curves for isolated straight continues highway bridges by considering different spectral intensity measures. A three-span concrete isolated bridge has been selected and the seismic performance of the bridge has been improved by Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB). Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) is applied to the bridge in longitudinal direction. A suite of 14 earthquake ground motions from medium to sever motions are scaled and used for nonlinear time history analysis. Fragility function considers the relationship of earthquake intensity measures (IM) and probability of exceeding certain Damage State (DS). A full three dimensional finite element model of the isolated bridge has been developed and analyzed. A wide range of different intensity measures are selected and the optimal intensity measure which has the less dispersion is proposed.

분광 반사법을 이용한 GaN 박막의 실시간 관찰 (In-situ Monitoring of GaN Epilayers by Spectral Reflectance)

  • 본 연구에서는 분광 반사 측정용으로 개조된 metalorganic chemical vapor deposition를 이용하여 GaN의 성장을 반응기 내부에서 실시간으로 관찰하였다. 분광 반사법에서는 190~861 nm의 p-편광된 빛을 시편에 $75^{\circ}$로 입사시킨 후 뒤 GaN 박막으로부터 반사되어 나오는 빛을 분석한다. 관찰된 반사 스펙트럼은 다중반사로 인하여 간섭현상도 함께 보여주고 있는데, 이때 위아래로 진동하는 폭은 박막의 결정성이 나쁘면 줄어들었고, 이는 박막 내부에 존재하는 많은 결함에 의해 입사된 빛이 산란되거나 흡수되어 전체적으로 반사강도가 크게 감소하였기 때문으로 판단된다. 또한 가장 강한 보강간섭을 나타내는 파장을 선택하여 $NH_3$의 공급여부에 따른 강도변화를 실시간을 관찰하였는데, 10초 차단한 경우에는 큰 변화는 없었지만, 30초 이상인 경우에는 뚜렷한 강도 증가가 관찰되었고, 계속 차단하였을 때도 높아진 강도로 계속 유지되었다. 이러한 현상은 $NH_3$를 공급했을 때 표면은 N로 덮여 있었지만, $NH_3$ 공급을 차단하면 GaN의 높은 질소평형증기압으로 인하여 표면의 질소가 탈착되어 표면은 금속성의 Ga으로 덮인 상태로 바뀌었기 때문에 반사강도가 약간 상승한 것으로 보인다.

2차원 구조물의 진동 인텐시티 계측에 대한 연구 (A Study on Structural Intensity Measurement of 2-dimensional Structure)

  • In order to control vibration in structures, it is desirable to be able to identify dominant paths of vibration transmission from sources through the structure to some points of interest. Structural intensity vector(power flow per width of cross section) using cross spectra is able to measure the vibration power flow at a point in a structure. This paper describes the structural intensity measurement of 2-dimensional structure. Structural intensity of 2-dimensional structure can be obtained from eight point cross spectral measurement per axis, or two point measurement per axis on the assumption of far field. Approximate formulation of the relation between bending waves in structures and structural intensity makes it possible to separate the wave components by which one can get a state of the vibration field. Experimental results are obtained on an infinite plate at the near and far field in flexural vibration. The measurement error of two point measurement is rather bigger than eight point measurement on account of the assumption that Poisson's ratio is 1. The structural intensity vectors on the plate are checked the ability to identify the path of vibration power flow in random excitation and 200Hz sine excitation, the result of two point measurememt is almost the same as the result of eight point measurement in 200Hz sine excitation.
