성과중심교육과정 개발사례: 가톨릭대학교 의과대학 (Development of an Outcome-Based Medical Curriculum: A Case Report from The Catholic University of Korea School of Medicine)

  • The recent medical education paradigm shift from teacher-centered to student-centered education, has led to a concentration on students' performance and competency. This means that a physician should be able to provide adequate health care in any real medical treatment situation. In order to reflect such a paradigm shift, The Catholic University of Korea School of Medicine launched a new curriculum in 2009 that emphasizes students' performance and competency-based education, known as "outcome-based education." In outcome-based education, the educational process is determined by the desired outcome, signifying the detailed competency that a graduating student should have. Thus, in outcome-based education, we should first determine the competency that results from adequate training and education, followed by specific teaching and learning strategies, methods, and assessment. This paper reviews how The Catholic University School of Medicine developed its new curriculum according to the development steps of outcome-based education.

서비스화 수용활동이 서비스화 추진성과에 미치는 영향 : 서비스 프로세스 역량과 ICT 역량의 매개적 역할 (The Effects of Servitization Acceptance on Performance through Mediation of Service Process & ICT Competency)

  • The purpose if this study was to find and investigate effective mediation factors influencing performance of servitization through servitization acceptance activities by means of empirical results. According to the previous researches, two main mediation factors which were related with servitization competencies such as ICT competency of servitization and competency of servitization process were distinguished from lots of competencies which are relying on servitization process. Using a 373 sample data investigated from CEOs, directors and managers of small and medium sized firms in Korea, the structured mediation model was proposed. The measurement for the each variable was accepted for this study when the respondents were revealed to understand the servitization concepts which explained especially company's business moving towards the service specific gravity from selling existing products. The measurement for the each variable reflected that respondents were participating in any sort of servitization type or had intension to be involved with any servitization categories. The mediation hypotheses were tested in the way of analytical measures with the result of strong reliability. According to analysis, two mediators showed positive mediation role and statistically adopted between servitization acceptance activities and servitization performance in the 99% significant level. We confirmed that ICT competency of servitization and competency of servitization process were in the role of positive mediation between servitization acceptance activities and performance of servitization. The total of indirect effects were 0.2546 to support each mediation hypotheses. Tested two mediators were not on the same level. The most affecting mediation element on servitization performance was appeared as competency of servitization process. With the result of this study, we expect that the small and medium sized companies might have servitization business strategies including proper service competencies and mediators through acceptance activities to obtain suitable performance. According to the analysis, Companies which consider product-servitization need to set strategies to reinforce above two competencies.

지구과학 데이터 활용 프로젝트 학습이 중학생의 지식정보 처리 역량 및 의사소통과 협업 역량에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Project Based Learning Using Earth Science Data on Middle School Students' Knowledge-information Processing Competency, Communication and Collaboration Competency)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 지구과학 데이터 활용 프로젝트 학습 프로그램을 개발하고, 프로그램이 학생들의 지식정보 처리 역량, 의사소통과 협업 역량에 미치는 효과를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해, ADDIE 수업 설계 모형을 적용하여 프로그램을 개발하고, 중학교 2학년 학생 75명을 대상으로 적용하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 확인하기 위해 지식정보 처리 역량 검사, 의사소통과 협업 역량 검사 결과를 대응 표본 t 검정으로 분석하였고, 프로그램의 흥미와 어려움을 확인하기 위해 성찰일지를 분석하였다. 연구 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지구과학 데이터 활용 프로젝트 학습 프로그램은 '태양계의 행성 여행', '나는 해수 전문가', '갯벌 체험 프로그램 계획하기'라는 세 가지 주제로 구성되어 있다. 둘째, 프로그램 적용 후 전체 학생들의 지식정보 처리 역량이 유의미하게 향상되었다, 셋째, 프로그램 적용 후 전체 학생들의 의사소통 및 협업 역량이 유의미하게 향상되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 프로그램을 통해 학생들에게 성공적인 경험을 제공하기 위한 교사의 구체적이고 지속적인 지원 방안, 정보 교과와의 협업을 통한 프로그램 활용의 어려움 극복, 미시적으로 학생들의 상호작용을 분석하는 연구가 필요함을 제안하였다.

역량기반의 전문대학 교육과정 개선 방안 (Development of the College Curriculum using the Competency-based Model)

  • 최근 교육개혁과 관련하여 자주 언급되고 있는 '역량'이라는 단어는 학문과 지식을 중시했던 기존 교육이 현실 사회 적응력을 중시한 교육으로 변화됨을 나타낼 때 주로 사용된다. 전문대학의 교육도 장차 직업생활에서 요구되는 실천적 역량을 갖춘 인재를 양성하는데 적합하도록 교육과정의 개선이 요구된다. 본 연구는 전문대학 교육과정 운영 실태에 대한 문제점을 파악하여 해결방안을 모색해 보았으며, 역량기반 교육모델에 대한 선행연구 자료를 검토하여 전문대학 교육과정에 적용 가능성을 분석하여, 도입이 타당함을 제시하였다. 또한 한국산업인력공단에서 개발한 직업기초능력 표준을 직업교육의 교과내용으로 반영하고 이를 운영할 수 있는 방안을 제시함으로써, 효과적으로 교육과정을 개선시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Essential Competencies for Digital Workforce of Provincial Office in Thailand Using Delphi Technique

  • This study aimed to study its required performance requirements and proposes a competency framework necessary for the digital workforce of the Provincial Offices in Thailand. The specific primary informants were determined as 17 people. The collecting process was performed using the Delphi technique and the electronic Delphi technique in two phases, totaling four rounds. In the first time, a structured interview was used to conduct online interviews for 15 people. Content validation was performed to determine issues of the competency framework essential for the digital workforce with 7-level scaled questionnaires, and then online reviews were collected between 10-15 people (2nd to 4th times). A consensus was found and confirmed four times with descriptive statistics, namely frequency, mean, standard deviation, mode, median, and the absolute value of the difference between mode and median, interquartile range, and application of the conceptual framework. The research findings revealed that the essential competency requirements for the digital workforce were covered in digital literacy (six aspects), digital skills (four aspects), and digital characteristics (four aspects). Consensus was confirmed for 84 issues. Therefore, it was concluded that 61 points for building an essential competency framework for the digital workforce made them effective in using digital technology as a labor-saving instrument, as well as for expanding the breadth of development of digital expertise to include members of the organization's digital practitioner network. This development will benefit government agencies and the private sector, both national and international, in the future.

간호대학생의 공감능력, 눈치, 학습몰입이 임상수행능력에 미치는 영향 (Factors of Influencing Empathic ability, Nunchi and Learning Flow on Clinical Competency in Nursing Students -Focusing on Online Clinical practice Students during the COVID-19)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 공감능력, 눈치, 학습몰입과 임상수행능력간의 관계를 파악하고 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 시도되었다. 자료수집은 K광역시에 소재한 일 간호대학에 재학 중인 179명을 대상으로 연구기간은 2021년 5월 10일부터 5월 14일까지 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN21을 이용하여 빈도, paired t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 공감능력과 눈치는 유의한 순 상관관계를 보였으며(r=.148, p=.048), 임상수행능력은 학습몰입과 유의한 순 상관관계(r=.605, p<.001)가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 간호대학생의 임상수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학업성취도(𝛽=.129,p=.049), 연령(𝛽=-.116, p=.014), 실습만족도(𝛽=-.242, p<.001)순으로 나타났다. 또한 이들 변수의 임상수행능력에 대한 설명력(R2)은 39.4%이었다. 따라서 비대면 온라인 실습에 대한 간호대학생의 임상수행능력을 높이기 위해 학업성취도를 향상시킬 수 있는 구체적인 전략과 온라인 실습을 만족할 수 있도록 다양한 활동과 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

IT제조기업의 베트남 진출 전략 및 성과에 관한 연구 (IT Manufacturing Companies' Strategies and Performance for Overseas Expansion to Vietnam)

  • This study is aimed to find out which factors among firm-specific resources, industry-based competition, and institutional conditions affect strategies for Korean IT manufacturing companies when they expand their business overseas, especially to Vietnam in this study. Also, it attempts to reveal which strategies among cost reduction, mass production, and localization affect performance of overseas expansion. Based on Strategy Tripod Theory as an integrating point-of-view embracing resource-based view, industry-based view, and institution-based view, research model was developed and tested through the survey of 83 Korean IT manufacturing companies expanded their business to Vietnam. Research findings show that (1) communication competency, industry competitiveness, industry attractiveness, and regulation of partner country affect cost reduction strategy. (2) International experience, communication competency, international orientation, and competitiveness is significantly associated with mass production strategy. (3) And international experience, communication competency, and industry competitiveness affect localization. (4) Ultimately, mass production strategy and localization strategy significantly increase performance of expansion to Vietnam. The theoretical contribution of this study is to adopt an integrative approach based on strategy tripod theory. As practical implications, it suggests factors and strategies that IT manufacturing companies interested in expansion to Vietnam should consider. In sum, we believe this study can contribute to Korean IT manufacturing industry by suggesting key success factors and appropriate strategies for overseas expansion.

데이터 융합인재 직무모형 개발 연구 (A Research on Job Model Development for Data Convergent Talent)

  • Purpose This study aims to develop a job model for data convergent talents to meet the rapidly changing demands of the data industry. To create a job model, we first define and categorize data convergent talents with balanced competencies in data technology and domain knowledge, and then develop a job model by investigating job areas, scope, activities, and competencies. Design/methodology/approach The research is conducted using the following procedures and methodology. First, we conduct a current status survey on data talent demand, data talent policies, data talent programs, and curricula at home and abroad; second, we collect opinions on the jobs and competencies required for data convergent talents and curricula for talent development through in-depth interview with experts; and third, we present the job areas and job activities of data convergent talents derived from the previous status survey and expert opinions based on the National Competency Standards(NCS). Findings The research findings indicate that there are total of six job roles for data convergent talents, including data scientist, data planner, data architect, data developer, data engineer, and data analyst. It was observed that each of these roles requires the development of common competencies within their respective fields, followed by a need for further specialization into specific competencies within each professional domain.

Developing veterinary basic clinical skill items based on Korean Veterinary Entrustable Professional Activity

  • Importance: Developing clinical skills is an essential element of veterinary education to ensure the competency of veterinary graduates. Although the Korean Veterinary Education Graduation Competencies were established in 2016, reflecting domestic needs and international trends in competency-based veterinary education, they have yet to be implemented in Korean veterinary education. Objective: This study aimed to establish the basic veterinary clinical skills required to ensure graduates of Korean veterinary universities have the day-one competency to independently perform their professional duties. Methods: The Education Committee of the Korean Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges, composed of veterinary school professors and an experienced veterinarian in the clinic, reviewed domestic and international veterinary education-related materials to define basic clinical skills. Results: The Korean Veterinarian Entrustable Professional Activities (KVEPA) was introduced, followed by the subsequent development of 54 essential clinical skills based on the KVEPA. Conclusions and Relevance: The veterinary basic clinical skills established through this study can be used as a specific guide for clinical education in Korean veterinary school, and is expected to play an important role in meeting the needs of the educational sector of the veterinary education accreditation standards.

대학의 플립드 러닝에서 우수 학습자 역량모델링 (University-level Flipped Classroom Learner Competency Modeling)

  • 최근 대학에서 학습자 중심 교수학습방법으로 플립드 러닝이 활발히 적용되고 있다. 학습자의 적극적인 참여를 유도하는 학습환경으로서 플립드 러닝의 장점에도 불구하고, 강의식 수업에 익숙한 다수의 학습자들은 보다 능동적인 역할이 요구되는 플립드 러닝 환경에 쉽게 적응하지 못한다는 지적이 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 플립드 러닝에서 성공적인 학습활동을 지원하기 위하여 역량모델링을 통하여 플립드 러닝 환경에서 우수한 학습자의 역량과 행동지표를 탐색하였다. 본 연구에서 역량모델링은 1) 자료수집, 2) 역량도출 및 모형개발, 3) 역량모형 타당화의 절차로 진행되었다. 먼저, 자료수집을 위해 서울 시내에 소재한 한 대학에서 플립드 러닝으로 운영된 강좌를 수강한 학습자 8명을 대상으로 행동사건면담을 실시하였다. 우수 학습자들은 플립드 러닝으로 진행된 대학 강좌에서 형성 평가와 팀 프로젝트 평가에서 상위 10%이내의 성적을 받았으며 학습과정에서 우수한 수행으로 교수자의 추천을 받은 학생들이었다. 이들에 대한 면담 자료를 분석 후, 대학의 플립드 러닝에서 우수 학습자 역량을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 대학의 플립드 러닝에서 우수 학습자 역량으로 '피드백 도움 요청', '성실한 학습관리', '지식 확장', '동료 상호작용', '학습지향성'이 도출되었으며, 이에 대한 세부적인 행동지표들을 개발하였다. 도출된 역량모형의 타당화를 위하여 플립드 러닝 수강생 134명을 대상으로 요인분석을 실시하였다. 끝으로 플립드 러닝의 수업 전과 수업 중의 두 단계에 따라 보다 중요시되는 역량들을 확인함으로써 플립드 러닝의 수업단계에 따라 성공적인 학습을 위해 요구되는 최종 역량모형을 제시하였다.
