A Study on Spatial Data Integration using Graph Database: Focusing on Real Estate (그래프 데이터베이스를 활용한 공간 데이터 통합 방안 연구: 부동산 분야를 중심으로)

  • Graph databases, which store different types of data and their relationships modeled as a graph, can be effective in managing and analyzing real estate spatial data linked by complex relationships. However, they are not widely used due to the limited spatial functionalities of graph databases. In this study, we propose a uniform grid-based real estate spatial data management approach using a graph database to respond to various real estate-related spatial questions. By analyzing the real estate community to identify relevant data and utilizing national point numbers as unit grids, we construct a graph schema that linking diverse real estate data, and create a test database. After building a test database, we tested basic topological relationships and spatial functions using the Jackpine benchmark, and further conducted query tests based on various scenarios to verify the appropriateness of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method successfully executed 25 out of 29 spatial topological relationships and spatial functions, and achieved about 97% accuracy for the 25 functions and 15 scenarios. The significance of this study lies in proposing an efficient data integration method that can respond to real estate-related spatial questions, considering the limited spatial operation capabilities of graph databases. However, there are limitations such as the creation of incorrect spatial topological relationships due to the use of grid-based indexes and inefficiency of queries due to list comparisons, which need to be improved in follow-up studies.

Development of a GML 3.0 Encoding System Using Mapping Rules (매핑 규칙을 활용한 GML 3.0 엔코딩 시스템의 개발)

  • Recently, because of the extensive use of geographic information in the various fields, the requirement for the easy circulation and utilization of the various geographic information among the individuals, organizations, societies and countries is raised. In order to support the interoperability of the heterogeneous geographic information in the various fields, OGC(Open GIS Consortium) proposed the GML(Geography Markup Language) specification that defines the XML encoding rule about the heterogeneous geographic information. In addition, ISO/TC 211 adopted the GML specification to make it as the international standard. Therefore, in this paper we first analyzed the GML 3.0 specification in detail that can support the interoperability of the heterogeneous geographic information. And then we suggested and applied the mapping rule that define the encoding method to improve the encoding process easily and efficiently. Finally we designed and implemented the GML 3.0 encoding system using the mapping rule to encode the geographic information that was constructed in spatial databases into the GML 3.0 document. Especially, we used ZEUS as a spatial database system to test our encoding system in this paper.

  • The Geography Markup Language (GML) is an XML encoding for the transport and storage of geographic information, including both the geometry and properties of geographic features. This paper uses the GML to provide extendibility and interoperability of spatial data in moving objects management system. Since the purpose of the system is to provide locations of the moving objects in the web and mobile environments, we used the GML both for presenting map data and trajectories of the moving objects. The proposed system is composed of Location Data Interface, Moving Objects Engine, and Web/Mobile Presentation Interface. We utilized the concept of Web Map Server, that is web mapping technology of OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium), to integrate map data and the location information of the moving objects. In the process of the integration, we used the standard data model and interfaces while defining new application schema. Since our suggested system uses open spatial data encoding and interfaces, both extendibility and interoperability are guaranteed.

  • Developing context awareness service In these day, It demands high security in context awareness service. So GEO-RBAC that provide user assignment of spatial role, assignment of permission, role schema, role instance and spatial role hierarchy to context awareness service is access control model to perfect in context awareness service. But GEO-RBAC is not considering temporal constraints that have to need context awareness environment. Consequently this paper improves the flexibleness of GEO-RBAC to consider time and period constraints notion and the time of GTRBAC that presents effective access control model. also we propose GEO-RBAC to consider temporal constraints for effective access control despite a various case.

  • Existing LDA uses the transform matrix that maximizes distance between classes. So we have to convert from an image to one-dimensional vector as training vector. However, in 2D-LDA, we can directly use two-dimensional image itself as training matrix, so that the classification performance can be enhanced about 20% comparing LDA, since the training matrix preserves the spatial information of two-dimensional image. However 2D-LDA uses same calculation schema for transformation matrix and therefore both LDA and 2D-LDA has the heteroscedastic problem which means that the class classification cannot obtain beneficial information of spatial distances of class clusters since LDA uses only data correlation-based covariance matrix of the training data without any reference to distances between classes. In this paper, we propose a new method to apply training matrix of 2D-LDA by using WPS-LDA idea that calculates the reciprocal of distance between classes and apply this weight to between class scatter matrix. The experimental result shows that the discriminating power of proposed 2D-LDA with weighted between class scatter has been improved up to 2% than original 2D-LDA. This method has good performance, especially when the distance between two classes is very close and the dimension of projection axis is low.

Efficient Data Transmission Using Map Generalization On Cilent-side Web GIS

  • Recently researches have been made on the client-side Web GIS, which can lessen the load of a server and provide users with intheractive geographic information. Howwever, the initial delay is the main drawback because of a high volume of geographic data and becausr the server does not associate spatial features with the map scale. Even when a complex spatial object is too small to be distinguished from a point by the naked eyes, it's complete data will be transmitted. This paper proposes a new effcient schema to reduce the response time and increase transmission effciency. Briefly speaking, "Transmit what can be seen" is the main idea. By exploiting the generalization algorithm, the proposed method allows the server to extract readable features from objects according to the display scale. Meanwhile, increasingly detailed map will be cached on the client. Therefore this method will contribute to the transmission efficiency of Web GISs.

  • 본 논문에서는 OGC 의 공간 정보 인코딩 표준 명세인 GML 을 기반으로 공간 데이터 웨어하우스를 구축하는 스키마를 제안한다. GML 기반의 스키마는 비공간 정보뿐만 아니라 공간 정보에 대한 정의가 가능하다. 그리고 XML 스키마를 이용하여 전체 큐브 스키마, 차원 스키마 및 사실테이블에 대한 스키마 정의의 예를 보인다. 따라서 제안 기법은 GML 을 이용하여 이질적인 시스템간의 데이터 통합이 용이하고, 비공간 정보뿐만 아니라 공간 정보의 활용이 가능하다. 그리고 공간 데이터 웨어하우스의 개념계층 관계에 대한 표현이 용이하고 구조에 대한 이해가 쉽다.

GML-Style Traffic And Tracking Services Based On Web GIS System

  • According as IT environment changes from client/server system to the open system based on web service technologies, the exchange of data and services between independent applications and service servers in web environment is observed Recently. In this points, it is necessary that Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Imagery Information Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Global Navigation Satellite Systems based on the location and geometry information are inter-related each other. But, the inter-relation of these systems is very difficult because of the closed system architecture, different information format, and the absence of interoperability technologies. In this Paper, we describe 4S integration system based web service technologies that accept the international standard as WFS, WCS, WRS of OGC (OpenGIS Consortium) and UDDI, SOAP, WSDL of W3C. In detail, we study the system architecture design and implementation of traffic information service, routing service, and tracing service. These services are consisting of the data schema based on XML and GML, various functions of each layered service, each server platform, and web server. Specially, we represent that GML is being applied to a wide range of location-based services, telematics, and intelligent transportation

  • 본 연구에서 3차원 지형공간정보의 구축 및 처리, 가시화를 위하여 개인용 PC와 임베디드 단말기의 포켓 PC환경에서 자료 호환 및 동시 운영이 가능한 실시간 3차원 GIS의 Prototype의 설계 및 구현과 적용 실험을 하고자 한다 OpenGL(Open Graphic Library)과 OpenGL|ES (Embedded System)를 활용하여 도시경관을 구성하는 주요객체인 지형, 건물, 교통, 식생 등을 통합적으로 저작 및 3D 객체 모델링 및 렌더링이 통합 및 개별 운영 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현 단계에서 개인용 PC 운영환경에서는 기능성 향상에 중점을 두어 공간 데이터베이스 설계, 텍스처 영상 매핑처리, 대용량의 3차원 공간정보 처리 및 관리, 가시화, 렌더링, 모델링 기능들을 제공하며, PDA 휴대용 단말운영환경을 지원하는 모바일 시스템에서는 실시간 모바일 저작기능과 렌더링 기능에 주안점을 두어 개발하였다. 한편 연구 결과로 구현된 시스템은 원도우 XP 기반의 개인용 PC와 PDA 단말기 상에서 3D 객체 자료구조가 호환되어 향후 다양한 응용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.
