The low boundary of load carrying capacity of the elastic-plastic spatial grid structures depend on numerous values and their variability assumed in designing process. Analysed influence all this values in searching for optimal variant of the structure lead to too great problem even taking into consideration actual computational power we have in disposal. Therefore one can take only a few values which have greatest influence on the optimal choice. In optimal analysis of the elastic-plastic spatial grid structures the previously proposed method with subsequent modification (Karczewski 1980), (Karczewski, Barszcz and Donten 1996), (Karczewski and Donten 2001) as well as computer program which was worked out by Donten K. to make possible practical utilisation this method was employed. The paper deal with evaluation of influence dimensions of particular values for choice of optimal variant of the structure. One among this values is distribution of the struts in the structure.
The purpose of this paper is to propose a data transformation method for visualizing the statistical information based on the grid system which has regular shape and size. Grid is better solution than administrator boundary or census block to check the distribution of the statistical information and be able to use as a spatial unit on the map flexibly. On the other hand, we need the additional process to convert the various statistical information to grid if we use the current method which is areal interpolation. Therefore, this paper proposes the 3 steps to convert the various statistical information to grid. 1)Geocoding the statistical information, 2)Converting the spatial information through the defining the spatial relationship, 3)Attribute transformation considering the data scale measurement. This method applies to the population density of Seoul to convert to the grid. Especially, spatial autocorrelation is performed to check the consistency of grid display if the reference data is different for same statistic information. As a result, both distribution of grid are similar to each other when the population density data which is represented by census block and building is converted to grid. Through the result of implementation, it is demonstrated to be able to perform the consistent data conversion based on the proposed method.
This paper describes the way to embody the grid coverage and the grid coverage processor which can construct pipelines. The pipeline constructed by the developed grid coverages has internal pipelines that have different resolution and it provides the way of access to very large datasets efficiently. Several operations, such as filtering, image enhancement and band operation, are embedded in the developed grid coverage and grid coverage processor COM components. The practical usefulness of the developed grid coverage and grid coverage processor has been proven by applying them in developing an image processing software for very large images.
The objective of this paper is to design multichannel spherical loudspeaker array by considering various positioning methods such as Gaussian grid, Lebedev grid and packing method. For the spatial sound manipulation, which is to make desired sound field by controling multiple sound sources, the Kirchhoff- Helmholtz integral states that sound fields can be reproduced in terms of infinite control sources on the integral surface. But since we cannot control infinite number of sources for the implementation, we have to allocate finite number of sound sources which can approximately act as infinite number of sources. To manipulate sound field inside of a sphere (which is typical example of three dimensional array) by controlling sound sources on the surface, three methods of allocating sound sources, which are Gaussian grid, Lebedev grid and packing method, are reviewed. For each geometry, the performances of manipulation rendered by time-reversal operator and higher-order ambisonics are compared.

Mobile source emissions are important inputs to photochemical air quality models. Since most mobile source emissions are calculated at the county-level, these emission should be geographically allocated to the computational grid cells of a photochemical air quality model prior to running the model. The traditional method for the spatial allocation of these emissions has been to use a "spatial surrogate indicator" such as population, since grid-specific emission calculations are very labor-intensive and expensive, plus the necessary data are often not available for such grid resolutions. Accordingly, new spatial surrogate indicators for mobile source emissions(specifically for highway emissions) were developed using Geographic Information Systems(GIS) tools due to the spatially variable nature of mobile source emissions. These newly developed spatial surrogate indicators appear to be more appropriate for the allocation of highway emissions than the population surrogate indicator. It was also revealed that the conventional spatial allocation method underestimates the maximum levels of air pollutant emmissions.mmissions.
A new experimental technique was developed on the plate-inserted welded tubular joints of spatial grid structures. In the experimental technique, a microcomputer controlling instrument of moire intervention (MCIMI) was adopted. A test was designed on the plate-inserted welded tubular joints of spatial grid structures to show the effectiveness of the MCIMI technique. Both traditional electrical measuring technique and MCIMI technique were employed in the test. The test results showed that the MCIMI technique was feasible in the case of the complicated tests on steel structures. The MCIMI technique not only implemented the limitation of traditional electrical measuring technique, but also improved the accuracy of the test. According to the test results, we further examined the plate-inserted welded tubular joints in the cable-stayed spatial grids of the Binhai International Convention & Exhibition in Tianjin, China. The analysis showed the joints are safely designed with adequate conservatism. The research provided a new application of MCIMI in the field of large-scale structure engineering.
Up to now, Japan has more than 200 corrugated steel web composite beam bridges which are under construction and have been constructed, and China has more than 30 corrugated steel web composite beam bridges. The bridge type includes the simply supported beam, continuous beam, continuous rigid frame and cable stayed bridge etc. The section form has developed to the single box and multi-cell box girder from the original single box and single chamber. From the stress performance and cost saving, the span range of 50~150 m is the most competitive. At present, the design mostly adopts the computational analytical method combining the spatial bar system model, plane beam grillage model and solid model. However, the spatial bar system model is short of the refinement analysis on the space effect, such as the shear lag effect, effective distribution width problem, and eccentric load factor problem etc. Due to the similarity of the plane beam grillage method in the equivalence principle, it cannot accurately reflect the shearing stress distribution and local stress of the top and bottom plates of the box type composite beam. The solid model is very difficult to combine with the overall calculation. Moreover, the spatial grid model can achieve the refinement analysis, with the integrity of the analysis and the comprehensiveness of the stress checking calculation, and can make up the deficiency of the analytical method currently. Through the example verification of the solid model and spatial grid model, it can be seen that the calculation results for the stress and the displacement of two models are almost consistent, indicating the applicability and precision of the spatial grid model.

Currently, each organization has developed its gridded data in the form of respective grid system for its own purpose. Interoperability among the organization had been limited and resulted in inconvenient data access and application across domains. In this study, we investigated potential standards for National grid system and their strength and weakness. We also reviewed existing gridding schemes and had a survey of demand about grid system to those who have used or would plan to use gridded data in academic and business sectors. As the result of survey of demand, we suggested national grid system for national grid data integration management system which has the mutual compatibility and also proposed sharing scheme of the grid type for users who need to grid data.

With the recent advancement of surveying and technology, the spatial data acquisition rates and precision have been improved continually. As the updates of spatial data are rapid, and the size of data increases in line with the advancing technology, the LOD (Level of Detail) algorithm has been adopted to process data expressions in real time in a streaming format with spatial data divided precisely into separate steps. The existing GRID analysis utilizes the single DEM, as it is, in examining and analyzing all data outside the analysis area as well, which results in extending the analysis time in proportion to the quantity of data. Hence, this study suggests a method to reduce analysis time and data throughput by acquiring and analyzing DEM data necessary for GRID analysis in real time based on the area of analysis and the level of precision, specifically for streaming DEM data, which is utilized mostly for 3D geographic information service.
