Spam mail is one of the side effect of the development and improvement of the internet that restrains the privacy of the individual on line. However indiscriminate application of Spam mail blocking can also cause significant violation on freedom of doing business to the fluent commercial transactions on line. Therefore this research looks at the exact understanding of the concept of Spam mail and inquiry on Its issues. Also it looks at the case studies of its institutional solutions in USA and Europe as well as the advantage and disadvantage of the case studies on its technical solution. Finally, the research inquires into overall prevention of Spam mail, which considers both technical and institutional soiution. With this research, limitations of current Spam mail prevention system and technology are pointed out and more effective course of overall Spam mail prevention solution is studied.

In this paper, I explained how to sort and keep off these Spam-mail and commercial advertising E-mail with three way, prevention by server level, prevention by construction of network level, prevention by client level. we designed a prevention system for Spam-mail and implemented it by Visual Basic.

The problem of unsolicited e-mail has been increasing for years, so many researchers has studied about spam filtering and prevention. In this article, we proposed a faster spam prevention algorithm based on userID instead of full email address. But there are 2% of false-negatives by userID. In this case, we store those domains in a DB and filter them out. The proposed algorithm requires small DB and 3.7 times faster than the e-mail address comparison algorithm. We implemented this algorithm using SPRSW(Spam Prevention using Replay Secrete Words) to register userID automatically in userID DB.

SPAM mails become a serious social problem all of the world and the products for SPAM prevention are coming to the market. This study classifies the existing SPAM prevention solutions according to the patterns to be set up and the judging SPAM methods, and analyses the merits and demerits of them. This study also draws problems of the existing SPAM Prevention solutions and suggests a new URL Prefetch method, a new filtering method which have been out of use. And it draws synergistic effects of SPAM prevention by this new method and suggests SPAM Prevention solution by HTML Pattern method

This paper describes an implementation of the spam mail prevention system using reply message with secrete words. When user receives a new e-mail, the e-mail address is compared with the white e-mail addresses in database by the system. If user receives a new e-mail which does not exist in a white e-mail addresses database, a reply e-mail attached with secrete words is delivered automatically. And the system is compared with the white domains first for intranet environment. It speeds up processing time. proposed algorithm is required a small database and faster than the black e-mail addresses comparison. This system is implemented using procmail, PHP and IMAP on Linux and the user can manage the databases on the web.

The economic burden which our society has to take exceeds the benefit that it becomes by the free circulation of information. Problems such as inconvenience or inequality between people can also occur since the regulation task of spam e-mail or SMS is imposed on two organs; the Department of Information and Communication and Free Trade Commission. The dualization of regulation separates related laws, which makes exception according to the $\ulcorner$Law on Information Communication Usage and Information Protection$\lrcorner$ or poses double regulation toward the same case. The spam prevention activity at free hands of information communication network provider such as portal site or mobile communication has many limitations along with comparison and analysis of spam regulations abroad. Therefore, examinations on legal obligation such as service restriction, identification and technical measure to spam prevention is needed. This study focuses on making the scope of spam regulation clear by considering the domestic related laws and the general environment of industry, on enacting law which regulates spam including advertisement and on deducting essential facts in enacting or modifying related laws and thus, deducting the form and contents of spam regulation law which is most decent in our domestic environment.

In this paper, we proposed conditional access algorithm for data confidential using smart card. This algorithm is constructed smart card and E-mail gateway for restricting of user's illegal confidential data transmission. After processing of certification procedure in smart card, each E-mail forwarded to E-mail gateway(EG). The EG selects outgoing E-mail and it is sent to fire-wall E-mail processing program, it is checked attached file in transmission mail and if it is attached file, it writes to database. This time, it can be used evidence data about user's illegal confidential data transmission, because of using registered content and smart card certification data in database. in addition to, we can get psychologically effect of prevention to send illegally, and this system can prevent spam mail in EG, also.

인터넷 이용자가 증가함에 따라 전자메일 사용자도 증가하고 있다. 전자메일 사용으로 통신상의 비용 및 시간이 절약되는 장점이 있지만 소수의 유저들이 상업적 목적으로 많은 유저에게 원하지 않은 메일(스팸메일)을 보냄으로써 물질적, 정신적 피해를 입히고 있다. 따라서 스팸 메일을 방지하기 위한 여러 기법들이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 스팸 메일 문제를 해결하기 위해 먼저 전자메일 시스템에 대한 구조를 살펴보고 MTA, MDA를 이용하는 스팸 메일 필터링 도구들을 비교 분석한 연구결과를 제시한다. 그리고 탐지 성능을 개선할 수 있는 새로운 방안을 제시한다. 제안 방법은 공개 배포용 MDA인 procmail에 기반한 것으로, 규칙(rule)을 매칭(matching)시키는 시간을 줄이는 것이다.

Advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks are attacks aimed at a particular entity as a set of latent and persistent computer hacking processes. These APT attacks are usually carried out through various methods, including spam mail and disguised banner advertising. The same name is also used for files, since most of them are distributed via spam mail disguised as invoices, shipment documents, and purchase orders. In addition, such Infostealer attacks were the most frequently discovered malicious code in the first week of February 2021. CDR is a 'Content Disarm & Reconstruction' technology that can prevent the risk of malware infection by removing potential security threats from files and recombining them into safe files. Gartner, a global IT advisory organization, recommends CDR as a solution to attacks in the form of attachments. There is a program using CDR techniques released as open source is called 'Dangerzone'. The program supports the extension of most document files, but does not support the extension of HWP files that are widely used in Korea. In addition, Gmail blocks malicious URLs first, but it does not block malicious URLs in mail systems such as Naver and Daum, so malicious URLs can be easily distributed. Based on this problem, we developed a 'Dangerzone' program that supports the HWP extension to prevent APT attacks, and a Chrome extension that performs URL checking in Naver and Daum mail and blocking banner ads.
