In Korea, the address-point matching technique has been used to provide geocoding services. In fact, this technique brings the high positional accuracy. However, the quality of geocoding result can be limited, since it is significantly affected by data quality. Also, it cannot be used for the 3D address geocoding and the reverse geocoding. In order to alleviate issues, the paper has implemeted proposed geocoding methods, based on street-based addresses matching technique developed by US census bureau, for street-based addresses in Korea. Those proposed geocoding methods are illustrated in two ways; (1) street address-matching method, which of being used for not only 2D addresses representing a single building but also 3D addresses representing indoor space or underground building, and (2) reverse geocoding method, whichas converting a location point to a readable address. The result of street-based address geocoding shows 82.63% match rates, while the result of reverse geocoding shows 98.5% match rates within approximately 1.7(m) the average position error. According to the results, we could conclude that the proposed geocoding techniques enable to provide the LBS(Location Based Service). To develop the geocoding methods, the study has perfoermed by ignoring the parsing algorithms for address standardization as well as the several areas with unusual addresses, such as sub-urban areas or subordinate areas to the roads, etc. In the future, we are planning the improved geocoding methods for considering these cases.

The research on red tide is generally in progress through field work, such as the naked eye and sampling. It was difficult to forecast exactly the course, from appearance of red tide to disappearance. with the established ways of investigation and analysis. Accordingly it is need to analyze environmental factors in time and space, the appearance of red tide and the path of its migration by more objective and scientific methods. In this study, GIS is applied to analyse the space character of red tide and the interpolation of IDW(Inverse Distance Weight) is applied to assume the density distribution of red tide after gather data by using Arc/Info. After IDW interpolation, the sea area occurred over 1,000 cells/ml of red tide density is extracted with CON and SUM Function of Grid Module, and the density of the sea area is accumulated daily. As a result of this study, the distribution condition of red tide is found timely and spacially by applying GIS to the sea area of red tide, the results indicated that the spatial density and the cumulative frequency about the origin of red tide using GIS, the sea area demonstrated that the maximum density and the maximum frequency varied significantly over the Nammyun of Namhae-Is. with the maximum frequency being 49 times. accordingly if data about the areas of red tide will occur from the present are accumulated, the shifting route of red tide occurrence and extinction can be predicted.

QZSS (Quasi-Zenith Satellite System) provides the CLAS (Centimeter Level Augmentation Service) through the satellite's L6 band. CLAS provides correction messages called C-SSR (Compact - State Space Representation) for GPS (Global Positioning System), Galileo and QZSS. In this study, CLAS messages were received by using the AsteRx4 of Septentrio which is a GPS receiver capable of receiving L6 bands, and the messages were decoded to acquire C-SSR. In addition, Multi-GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Code-PPP (Precise Point Positioning) was developed to compensate for GNSS errors by using C-SSR to pseudo-range measurements of GPS, Galileo and QZSS. And non-linear least squares estimation was used to estimate the three-dimensional position of the receiver and the receiver time errors of the GNSS constellations. To evaluate the accuracy of the algorithms developed, static positioning was performed on TSK2 (Tsukuba), one of the IGS (International GNSS Service) sites, and kinematic positioning was performed while driving around the Ina River in Kawanishi. As a result, for the static positioning, the mean RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) for all data sets was 0.35 m in the horizontal direction ad 0.57 m in the vertical direction. And for the kinematic positioning, the accuracy was approximately 0.82 m in horizontal direction and 3.56 m in vertical direction compared o the RTK-FIX values of VRS.

The most critical factors for detecting changes in very high-resolution satellite images are building positional inconsistencies and relief displacements caused by satellite side-view. To resolve the above problems, additional processing using a digital elevation model and deep learning approach have been proposed. Unfortunately, these approaches are not sufficiently effective in solving these problems. This study proposed a change detection method that considers both positional and topology information of buildings. Mask R-CNN (Region-based Convolutional Neural Network) was trained on a SpaceNet building detection v2 dataset, and the central points of each building were extracted as building nodes. Then, triangulated irregular network graphs were created on building nodes from temporal images. To extract the area, where there is a structural difference between two graphs, a change index reflecting the similarity of the graphs and differences in the location of building nodes was proposed. Finally, newly changed or deleted buildings were detected by comparing the two graphs. Three pairs of test sites were selected to evaluate the proposed method's effectiveness, and the results showed that changed buildings were detected in the case of side-view satellite images with building positional inconsistencies.

Due to recent underground space accidents, are a frequent occurence in Korea, the government established the basic plan for the construction of the IUGIM (Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map) in 2015 as a measure for safety management of underground spaces. The development of IUGIM was partially completed as of 2021. The underground space management entity and related organizations are utilizing it. This study is being carried out as part of a plan to improve the usability of IUGIM, and to build a visualization system that compares real-time field data with stored data. A system, equipped with a visualization function for borehole data and 6 types of underground facilities built and managed on IUGIM; a tool capable of comparative analysis with real-time data measured in the field, is being built. The 6 types of underground facilities are water supply pipe, sewage pipe, power pipe, gas pipe, communication pipe, and heating pipe. The completed system was demonstrated at three locations in Seocho-gu, Gangnam-gu in Seoul. The field demonstration was carried out by accessing the mobile center and downloading IUGIM data, visualizing IUGIM data (surface creation, borehole information, underground facilities), and visualizing the GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar)-based data acquired at the field. As a result of the empirical results of IUGIM data and GPR-based field data, it was judged to be suitable. As a result of this study, it is judged that it can be helpful for safe construction at the excavation site.
The rotation capacities of the plastic hinges located at beam-ends are significantly reduced in traditional steel framed-tube structures (SFTSs) because of the small span-to-depth ratios of the deep beams, leading to the low ductility and energy dissipation capacities of the SFTSs. High-strength steel framed-tube structures with replaceable shear links (HSSFTS-RSLs) are proposed to address this issue. A replaceable shear link is located at the mid-span of a deep spandrel beam to act as a ductile fuse to dissipate the seismic energy in HSSFTS-RSLs. A 2/3-scaled HSSFTS-RSL specimen with a shear link fabricated of high-strength low-alloy Q355 structural steel was created, and a cyclic loading test was performed to study the hysteresis behaviors of this specimen. The test results were compared to the specimens with soft steel shear links in previous studies to investigate the feasibility of using high-strength low-alloy steel for shear links in HSSFTS-RSLs. The effects of link web stiffener spaces on the cyclic performance of the HSSFTS-RSLs with Q355 steel shear links were investigated based on the nonlinear numerical analysis. The test results indicate that the specimen with a Q355 steel shear link exhibited a reliable and stable seismic performance. If the maximum interstory drift of HSSFTS-RSL is designed lower than 2% under earthquakes, the HSSFTS-RSLs with Q355 steel shear links can have similar seismic performance to the structures with soft steel shear links, even though these shear links have similar shear and flexural strength. For the Q355 steel shear links with web height-to-thickness ratios higher than 30.7 in HSSFTS-RSLs, it is suggested that the maximum intermediate web stiffener space is decreased by 15% from the allowable space for the shear link in AISC341-16 due to the analytical results.
This study develops a Global Positioning System (GPS) Code Multipath Grid Map (CMGM) of each individual domestic reference station from the extracted code multipath of measurement data. Multipath corresponds to signal reflection/refraction caused by obstacles around the receiver antenna, and it is a major source of error that cannot be eliminated by differencing. From the receiver-independent exchange format (RINEX) data for two days, the associated code multipath of a satellite tracking arc is extracted. These code multipath data go through bias correction and interpolation to yield the CMGM with respect to the azimuth and elevation angles. The effect of the CMGM on multipath mitigation is then quantitatively analyzed to improve the Root Mean Square (RMS) of averaged pseudo multipath. Furthermore, the single point positioning (SPP) accuracy is analyzed in terms of the RMS of the horizontal and vertical errors. During two weeks in February 2023, the RMSs of the averaged pseudo multipath for five reference stations decreased by about 40% on average after CMGM application. Also, the SPP accuracies increased by about 7% for horizontal errors and about 10% for vertical errors on average after CMGM application. The overall quantitative analysis indicates that the proposed approach will reduce the convergence time of Differential Global Navigation Satellite System (DGNSS), Real-Time Kinematic (RTK), and Precise Point Positioning (PPP)-RTK correction information in real-time to use measurement data whose code multipath is corrected and mitigated by the CMGM.
This paper addresses solutions th the challenges of carrier phase integer ambiguity resolution and cycle slip detection/identification, for maintaining high accuracy of an integrated GPS/Pseudolite/INS system. Such a hybrid positioning and navigation system is an augmentation of standard GPS/INS systems in localized areas. To achieve the goal of high accuracy, the carrier phase measurements with correctly estimated integer ambiguities must be utilized to update the system integration filter's states. The contribution presents an effective approach to increase the reliability and speed of integer ambiguity resolution through using pseudolite and INS measurements, with special emphasis on reducing the ambiguity search space. In addition, an algorithm which can effectively detect and correct the cycle slips is described as well. The algorithm utilizes additional position information provided by the INS, and applies a statistical technique known as th cumulative-sun (CUSUM) test that is very sensitive to abrupt changes of mean values. Results of simulation studies and field tests indicate that the algorithms are performed pretty well, so that the accuracy and performance of the integrated system can be maintained, even if cycle slips exist in the raw GPS measurements.

The rational polynomial coefficients (RPC) model is a generalized sensor model that is used as an alternative solution for the physical sensor model for IKONOS of the Space Imaging. As the number of sensors increases along with greater complexity, and the standard sensor model is needed, the applicability of the RPC model is increasing. The RPC model has the advantages in being able to substitute for all sensor models, such as the projective, the linear pushbroom and the SAR. This report aimed to generate a RPC model from the physical sensor model of the KOMPSAT-1(Korean Multi-Purpose Satellite) and aerial photography. The KOMPSAT-1 collects 510~730 nm panchromatic imagery with a ground sample distance (GSD) of 6.6 m and a swath width of 17 km by pushbroom scanning. The least square solution was used to estimate the RPC. In addition, data normalization and regularization were applied to improve the accuracy and minimize noise. This study found that the RPC model is suitable for both KOMPSAT-1 and aerial photography.

In this article, we look at the application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in sustainable infrastructures. In response to global warming, energy shortages, and environmental degradation, people are trying to build eco-friendly, low-carbon cities and promote eco-friendly homes. A "green" building is the entire life cycle of a building that includes maximizing the conservation of resources (energy, water, land, and materials), protecting the environment, reducing pollution, providing people with healthy, comfortable, and efficient use of space, and establishing harmony between nature and architecture. In the field of ecological and sustainable buildings, BIM modeling can be integrated into buildings with analog energy, air flow analysis, and solar building ecosystems. Using BIM technologies, you can reduce the amount of waste and improve the quality of construction. These technologies create "visualization" of digital building models through multidimensional digital design solutions that provide" modeling and analysis "of Scientific Collaboration Platforms for designers, architects, utility engineers, developers, and even end users. Moreover, BIM helps them use three-dimensional digital models in project design and construction and operational management.
