A Study on the Typological Analysis of the Museum Exhibition Space by Interrelationship Between Object, Human and Environment (작품-인간-환경의 관계설정에 따른 미술관 전시공간의 유형적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Since 20th century, the exhibition has expanded to more diverse fields and recognized as the medium which can build network among the Art, Human and society. Space design, although developed within mutual interaction and consideration of environment factors, has been treated without those background. Therefore it is straightforward to examine the exhibition space design synthetically not limit it by the analytical elements. Assuming three main mutual interactions, object human, and environment, we have attempt the typological analysis to the museum exhibition space by studying characteristics. While the exhibition space design has been analyzed through two dimensional interpretation, on this study, we structuralize diverse discussion of the exhibition space design by relation-centered and relative analysis. Therefor we examine the characteristic of design expression through typology of both physical and behavioral feature. In the conclusion, the outcome provides insights into the relationships among object, human and environment and useful measurements to designer who outline exhibition space design.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse comparatively the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space of the High-Tech architecture in the inside and outside of the country. To achieve the purpose of this study, the methods and contents are as follows: 1. Extracting the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space from the character of high-tech architecture. 2. Explaining the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space. 3. Analysing and estimating the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space in the inside and outside of the country. In conclusion, showing the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space in the inside and outside of the country.

  • This paper proposes the simulator synthesis scheme which is based on the exploration of the total design space in attributed AND-OR graph. Attributed AND-OR graph is a systematic design space representation formalism which enables to represent all the design space by decomposition rule and specialization rule. In addition, attributes attached to the design entity provides flexible modeling. Based on this design space representation scheme, a pruning algorithm which can transform the total design space into sub-design space that satisfies the user requirements is given. We have shown the effectiveness of our framework by (ⅰ) constructing the design space of superscalar processor in attributed AND-OR graph (ⅱ) pruning it to obtain the ARM9 processor architecture. (ⅲ) modeling the components of the architecture and (ⅳ) simulating the ARM9 model.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the form and space of superstructure and to present the characteristics of design innovation and space planning in cruise ships. The exterior design styling and interior space design are induced on the important design concept in cruise ships. The scale and structural daring of the past mega ship and next generation concept is being injected into the current cruise ship design.

  • This study aims at providing suitable outdoor spaces for physical, social, and psychological condition of Korea elderly, examining design characteristics and presenting design guideline of outdoor space for elderly. To do this, this study examined previous research papers and scholastic writings, related to elderly housing, and analyzed existing outdoor space for elderly. Additionally evaluation of usage pattern and physical trace carried out four silver towns. As a result, first, the study showd that characteristics of outdoor space are related to safety, amenity, recognition and efficiency. Second, types of outdoor space in elderly related facilities are very limited in verity, just facilitating with rest space, sport space, and garden space. Third, from a standpoint of barrier-free-design, four silver town cases are not carefully concerning about outdoor space for elderly. These spaces should be designed for both neighborhood and elderly people.

  • Contemporary space design has based on the framework of academic standards on a number of scientific propositions in order to find out correlation of human and environment and closely examine approaches of a normative design. However the contents are enormous and introductory and have limitation of application to practical business affairs so that we will have to understand them as a thinking to explain the design with,. Therefore this study is an experimental research making use of concrete design approaches applicable to the area of space design ad cinematic construction as a medium. The purpose and significance of it lies in examining its validity and contributing to the future development of space design. Accordingly this study conducted the research through a literature survey for the understanding of space perception in the cinema deduced the language of design concept according to it examined the basic unit of cinematic construction then analyzed the cases of practical architectural spaces. The findings of this study indicate that human's perception to space and the cinema is deduced as a common conceptual language characterized by the ideas of articulation scenery and timeness. These concepts are very organic and interdependent and can probably become a means for human to appropriately analyze an behavior attribute type of investigating environment with. Also in composing space the basic units of cinematic construction can be as instrument to be easily applied to practical affairs as they are correlated with the function of space and a constituent language to be reasonably designed.

Local Solution of a Sequential Algorithm Using Orthogonal Arrays in a Discrete Design Space (이산설계공간에서 직교배열표를 이용한 순차적 알고리듬의 국부해)

  • Structural optimization has been carried out in continuous design space or in discrete design space. Generally, available designs are discrete in design practice. However, the methods for discrete variables are extremely expensive in computational cost. An iterative optimization algorithm is proposed for design in a discrete space, which is called a sequential algorithm using orthogonal arrays (SOA). We demonstrate verifying the fact that a local optimum solution can be obtained from the process with this algorithm. The local optimum solution is defined in a discrete design space. Then the search space, which is a set of candidate values of each design variables formed by the neighborhood of a current design point, is defined. It is verified that a local optimum solution can be found by sequentially moving the search space. The SOA algorithm has been applied to problems such as truss type structures. Then it is confirmed that a local solution can be obtained by using the SOA algorithm

Efficient Designs to Develop a Design Space in Quality by Design (설계기반 품질고도화에서 디자인 스페이스 구축을 위한 효율적인 실험계획)

  • Purpose: We research on the efficient response surface methodology(RSM) design to develop a design space in Quality by Design(QbD). We propose practical designs for the successful construction of the design space in QbD by allowing different number of replicates at the box points, star points, and the center point in the rotatable central composite design(CCD). Methods: The fraction of design space(FDS) plot is used to compare designs efficiency. The FDS plot shows the fraction of the design space over which the relative standard error of predicted mean response lies below a given value. We search for practical designs whose minimal half-width of the tolerance interval per a standard deviation is less than 4.5 at 0.8 fraction of the design space. Results: The practical designs for the number of factors between two and five are listed. One of the designs in the list could be chosen depending on the experimental budget restriction. Conclusion: The designs with box points replications are more efficient than those with the star points replication. The sequential method to establish a design space is illustrated with the simulated data based on the two examples in RSM.
