Splenic injury is a common result of blunt trauma, and bleeding occurs mainly inside the splenic capsule and may leak into the peritoneal space. Herein, we report a case where active bleeding occurred in the splenic artery and only leaked into the extraperitoneal space. This is the first case of this phenomenon in a trauma patient in the English-language literature. Bleeding passed through the peritoneum, leaked into the anterior pararenal space, and continued along the extraperitoneal space to the prevesical space of the pelvis. Therefore, on the initial computed tomography (CT) scan, the bleeding appeared to be in the left paracolic gutter, so we suspected mesenteric bleeding. However, after the CT series was fully reconstructed, we accurately read the scans and confirmed splenic injury with active bleeding. If there had been a suspicion of bowel or mesenteric injury, surgery would have been required, but fortunately surgery could be avoided in this case. The patient was successfully treated with angioembolization.

The Solar and Space Weather Research Group (SOS) in Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) is constructing the Space Weather Prediction Center since 2007. As a part of the project, we are developing automatic real-time system of the global 3-D magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulation. The MHD simulation model of earth's magnetosphere is designed as modified leap-frog scheme by T. Ogino, and it was parallelized by using message passing interface (MPI). Our work focuses on the automatic processing about simulation of 3-D MHD model and visualization of the simulation results. We used PC cluster to compute, and virtual reality modeling language (VRML) file format to visualize the MHD simulation. The system can show the variation of earth's magnetosphere by the solar wind in quasi real time. For data assimilation we used four parameters from ACE data; density, pressure, velocity of solar wind, and z component of interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). In this paper, we performed some initial tests and made a animation. The automatic real-time system will be valuable tool to understand the configuration of the solar-terrestrial environment for space weather research.

Today, as individuals show their social identities and reflect their being as the members of society with a culture, an art style and communication function are stood out in fashion photographs. Accordingly, the meanings of images into text are expanded in its interpretative width through the acceptor's various terms. This researcher looked into four theories of both positions on the textuality of language and image, and considered the point of discussion on image of each theory through modern fashion photographs. First, the theory which divides language and image as auditory and visual recognitions in the textuality of language and image is limited from the view it focuses on only one side without considering the ambivalent elements of each field. For the textuality in modern fashion photographs, the observer attempts to turn it into text to give meaning to it as the recognition through five senses conforming to the acceptor's condition. Second, the theory dividing language and image into the text of time properties and spacial properties has limitation in the text, for acceptor's experience of the object appears as the structured form in time and space rather than being defined as two things like time and space. Third, the theory classifying the language and image text into conventional taste and natural taste has limitation from the view that image text is hardly an object of consistent classification in ease of recognition by the code accepted in society. Thus, this can't be fundamental approach for the understanding of the text of decoding trend represented in modern fashion photographs. Fourth, accordingly, this researcher focussed on contextual and arbitrary text of fashion photographs through the theory of Nelson Goodman which discusses image text through the differences in textuality. Basic mechanism of perceiving and recognizing and distinguish image is closely related to habit and custom like language. So, each acceptor perceives the image as a text through arbitrary interpretation obtained by individual, empirical, historical, and educational viewpoints. The textuality of modern fashion photographs aims to widen the range of diverse knowledge and understanding, transcending the regulations of simple function of existing fashion photographs. Consequently, this researcher puts forward the opinion of consistent and diverse follow-up studies on instilling meaning into fashion photographs for the understanding de-regulatory and de-constructive through various senses by avoiding only one sense-dependent fixed and regulatory properties of it.

In this paper, we cluster similar word senses applying vector space model and HAL (Hyperspace Analog to Language). HAL measures corelation among words through a certain size of context (Lund and Burgess 1996). The similarity measurement between a word pair is cosine similarity based on the vector space model, which reduces distortion of space between high frequency words and low frequency words (Salton et al. 1975, Widdows 2004). We use PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and SVD (Singular Value Decomposition) to reduce a large amount of dimensions caused by similarity matrix. For sense similarity clustering, we adopt supervised and non-supervised learning methods. For non-supervised method, we use clustering. For supervised method, we use SVM (Support Vector Machine), Naive Bayes Classifier, and Maximum Entropy Method.

In the postprocessing of Hangul recognition system, the storage structure of contextual information is an important matter for the recognition rate and speed of the entire system. Trie in general is used to represent the context as word dictionary, but the memory space efficiency of the structure is low. Therefore we propose a new structure for word dictionary that has better space efficiency and the equivalent merits of trie. Because Hangul is a compound language, the language can be represented by phonemes or by characters. In the representation by phonemes(P-mode) the retrieval is fast, but the space efficiency is low. In the representation by characters(C-mode) the space efficiency is high, but the retrieval is slow. In this paper the two representation methods are combined to form a hybrid representation(H-mode). At first an optimal level for the combination is selected by two characteristic curves of node utilization and dispersion. Then the input words are represented with trie structure by P-mode from the first to the optimal level, and the rest are represented with sequentially linked list structure by C-mode. The experimental results for the six kinds of word set show that the proposed structure is more efficient. This result is based on the fact that the retrieval for H-mode is as fast as P-mode and the space efficiency is as good as C-mode.

In Jesmyn Ward's 2017 novel, Sing, Unburied, Sing, Ward places herself within the modern African American literary tradition and lays out the unending "historical traumas" of blacks and cultural haunting in her narrative. She brings to the fore the story of a young black boy and demonstrates the difficulty of living while a black man in the American rural South. Living or dead, black males remain spectral as their frustrated black bodies are endlessly rejected and disembodied. It's through Ward's close attention to the notions of black masculinity and retrieval of (black) humanity that the black South is remembered, recuperated, and historicized. Shrewdly enough, Ward expands it further into the tradition of American literature. Instead of singularizing African American identity and its historical traumas, she renders them the part of American history and universalizing the single black story as the story of the American South. Filling in the gaps that Faulkner and other white writers have left in their novels, Ward writes stories about the unspeakable, the invisible, the excluded to deconstruct white narratives and rebuild the American history; and reasserts African roots and history, spirituality, black raciality and locality within the American tradition. I examine the symbolic significance of Jojo's claim of black masculinity within the socio-political contexts of contemporary America. I also look closely at Ward's portrayal of Jojo's black family genealogy on account of its traumatic experiences of incarceration in notorious Parchman Farm. Locating Jojo as the inspiration of linking the past and the present, the unburied and the living, I contend that Ward creates "home" for blacks in an atemporal oceanic space where the past and the present are able to meet simultaneously. I argue that the oceanic space is an alternative space of affect that functions against the space of white rationality.

With the increasing demand of foreign language education in colleges, an effective testing and study system is also needed especially for large scale classes. In this paper, 1 propose a new online system for running large scale foreign language classes which supports not only testing function but also individually customized studying and diagnosis functions. Using the proposed system enables saving of testing space and helps all students get equally good testing and study environment regardless of class size and lecturers.

We propose a method to improve search time and space complexity in statistical machine translation architectures, by employing linguistic bracketing information on the source language sentence. It is one of the advantages of the probabilistic formulation that competing translations may be compared and ranked by a. principled measure, but at the same time, optimizing likelihoods over the translation spa.ce dictates heavy search costs. To make statistical architectures practical, heuristics to reduce search computation must be incorporated. An experiment applying our method to a prototype Chinese-English translation system demonstrates substantial improvement.

Recent manufacturing system requires development on new production technology to enable prompt manufacturing of diverse products. Most of the researchers have been working on micro-factory. Especially, focus on manufacturing of micro parts. Present manufacturing system consumes excessive resources in the form of energy and space to manufacture the micro parts. In this study, the micro lens module assembly system was modeled, analyzed with MST(Micro System Technology) Application Module and simulated through UML Language (Unified Modeling Language) with object-oriented logical model analysis method. Digital model of micro-factory was modeled, to execute the new paradigm of digitalization on products, resources and processes of micro-factory.

The text categorization is an important field for the automatic text information processing. Moreover, the authorship identification of a text can be treated as a special text categorization. This paper adopts the conceptual primitives' expression based on the Hierarchical Network of Concepts (HNC) theory, which can describe the words meaning in hierarchical symbols, in order to avoid the sparse data shortcoming that is aroused by the natural language surface features in text categorization. The KNN algorithm is used as computing classification element. Then, the experiment has been done on the Chinese text authorship identification. The experiment result gives out that the processing mode that is put forward in this paper achieves high correct rate, so it is feasible for the text authorship identification.
