  • In 21 Century, people's living standards and material requirements have been continuously improved with the development of society. The demand for commercial space is not merely content with purchases. What's more, the consumers want to experience some activities offered by the brand while shopping. In this paper, we mainly research the spatial structure and the spatial expressional characteristics of brand lifestyle shop of Korean brands built in Seoul area. First, through the documentary research, we get the four characteristics of interior space performance of brand lifestyle shop, which are, interaction, proximity, symbolism and compound. Secondly, we select 8 brand lifestyle shops in the Seoul area as the object of this study, and analyze the actual application of the four characteristics in these cases. Thirdly, through the analysis of case study, we make a concrete analysis of the expressional characteristics of Korea's brand lifestyle shop. Finally, we reach the conclusions: First, the brand lifestyle shop provides space for both brands and consumers to communicate with each other. Second, in brand lifestyle shop there is a special space which is different from the other commercial space. The existence of this special space makes brand lifestyle shop more personalized and more specialized, and makes the customers have more interesting when they are shopping. Third, compared with the sales space, the non-sales space accounts for a larger proportion. Fourth, in spatial representation, interaction plays a role in connecting brands with consumers. Fifth, brand lifestyle shop has the same spatial concept, but it has different application and embodiment in each case. Each brand lifestyle shop has its own unique features. This is the economic strategy used by brand sustainable development and expansion.

  • In most of the design offices, analysis of the frame is carried out without considering the effect of the rigidity of mat. The analysis of the superstructure without modelling the foundation properly and conversely analysing the foundation system without considering the stiffness of the superstructure may mislead the estimation of the forces. This paper examines the parameters, which affect the interaction and they are grouped into relative stiffness factors ${\kappa}_{rs}$ and ${\kappa}_{sb}$. An interaction analysis is performed for the five storeyed space frame of 3 bays ${\times}$ 5 bays, using ANSYS finite element code. The soil was treated as an isotropic, homogenous and elastic half space medium and the following conclusions were drawn from the analyses. The differential settlement is reduced due to interaction and the performance of the mat depends on ${\kappa}_{sb}$ values. The moments $M_x$ and $M_y$ in the corner column at all the storey levels are higher in the case of the interaction analysis than in the conventional analysis. The axial forces in the peripheral columns increased and to that extent, the inner column axial loads are reduced. In the beam, more variation is seen in the support moments than in the span moments.

  • The modern society is rapidly changing through the development of computer network technology. By generation a collapse of boundaries between may important social institutions, computer networking has affected culture, economy and the physical environment. Because of this, people face a switchover from a simple society, to a compound society. It will also increase the diversity if society's demand, though, and experience. This change is not an exception in the exhibition space. People are more interested in civilized pastimes and also demand diverse thinking. So as a necessary consequence, the function of museum space Is offended and that there are various attempt to increase information and demand of that space. The purpose of this study is try to find a solution a countermeasure of modern society's mobile situation. Researchers analyzed structural qualities of Hyper-text; non-boundary, interaction and nonlinear and deduce nine kinds of methods to apply in space. Also, Researchers looked at the examples in museum space and derived like this expression way; dynamics, mobility, a non-materiality, continuity, complexity from analysis of expression way.

  • This study is about Foucault's conceptual and methodological relevance for structural analysis of Korean traditional space design history. By Foucault's Theory, regionalism is product of the instrumentality of space, power, knowledge and provide the basis for making the operation of power both spatial and temporal. The purpose of this study is to establish topographical map of historical progress and to shed new light on the forming of identity in Korean traditional space design on the poststructural-archaeological aspect. The process of this study is illustrated as follows: At first, it suggests Foucault's 'Theory of archaeology'. It mentions 'historical apriori' and archive, collateral space and general grammar as theoretical background of archaeological logic. Secondly, it clarifies 'statements' depending on the conditions that is 'episteme' in which they emerge and exist within a field of discourse. And it discuss Korean traditional space design concept as a social product on the situated character of interaction in time-space. Finally, it studies genetic variation process of Korean traditional space design based on the social progress in Korean society. And it analyses practical actions of 'Statements' in terms of general grammar and textuality.

  • To transmit users' intentions that vary with each person, intuitive and hi-directional interactions between users and a computer are necessary. We considered these interactions by dividing them into two spaces, physical space and informational space. Informational space supports human thinking process by arranging and visualizing much information. Physical space reproduces the real world where various restrictions exist to virtual space. From the viewpoint of three aspects - contents model, kansei model and context model - we defined the style of the interaction between user and multimedia database. In this paper, for the purpose of examining the way to realize the interaction based on these models, we developed interior design coordination support system and garden coordination system, and then evaluated them.

  • Contemporary architecture pursues new method of Interpretation of Non-linear space as digital media appears. As various materials and new methods can be used due to developments in science and expansion of thinking, contemporary architectural color developed extensive possibilities. It means not only the change of drawings, method of architectural product and materials but also the change of value system for architectural space. Thus the purpose of this paper is to suggest interpretation of space applied by color structure, and this point of view was based on the three elements of color perception which are light source, reflector, and observer. According to this categorization, architectural color of exterior color, layer color and interaction color are explained via examples of colors recently used on the contemporary architectures. In summary, contemporary architecture can be explained by Non-construction space interpretation for intrinsic complex meanings. Therefore, it can be explained as moving space, collage, by picturesque space, moving blur color and emptiness of color. This pursues various point of views for space interpretation, therefore it can be developed to the identity of strengthening architectures' design concept.

  • This study is on the constructive ways of body perception applied to architecture space. This research also has a purpose of extending the range of possibility of body perception's application. Research on the phenomenological method applied to architecture space was mainly focused on sensation, which made limited awareness on the range of body perception. The scope of body perception includes not only sensation, but also perception, cognition, and human behavior. Therefore this study explicate how operant features of body perception works together. Operant features of body perception are perception as cognition, synesthesia, and Interaction with others. Herzog & de Meuron, Sejima, and R. Koolhaas's works are reviewed to verify these features of body perception.

  • All of us have no time to predict and prepare for a rapidly-approaching future change in the 21st century, thereby being reality that we feel uneasy about future society. Accordingly, there is necessity for re-consolidating environment and daily culture in preparation for future society, namely, aging society. Given well preparing for super-aging society that will approach in the future, by which this effort becomes what bad luck often brings good luck, our country's role is thought to get probably bigger even in the globally silver industrial market in near future. We need to synthetically recognize a human being's aging psychological and physical conditions through the aging experience exhibition available for publicizing properly this historical phenomenon, and to pay more attention to importance of interaction between a human being and product environment. The experience exhibition is a concept for the exhibition form and the spatial composition, which emphasized interaction, with having escaped from the simply exhibition space. Given trying to communicate information more scientifically with escaping from the conventional exhibition of seeing and listening, it is also important to research Into the basis for exhibition as the experience space based on interaction. After all, a human being's aging is the unavoidably future phenomenon. And, importance of environment, which influences a human being, is very mutual as well. Our country is desired to develop a research on interaction of the exhibition experience space available for broadening recognition of senior-friendly and for properly experiencing this, thereby being an opportunity that the business entity, which plans silver industry, and the academic circles, which research and develop this, do mutually cooperate and can make silver industry grow further.

  • Tangible Space Initiative (TSI) is a new framework that can provide a more natural and intuitive Human Computer Interface for users. This is composed of three cooperative components: a Tangible Interface, Responsive Cyber Space, and Tangible Agent. In this paper we present a Tangible Tele-Meeting system in TSI, which allows people to communicate with each other without any spatial limitation. In addition, we introduce a method for registering a Tangible Avatar with a Tangible Agent. The suggested method is based on relative pose estimation between the user and the Tangible Agent. Experimental results show that the user can experience an interaction environment that is more natural and intelligent than that provided by conventional tele-meeting systems.

  • Starting with 21st Century, the role of the design has been widened and designers began to regard the psychological and behavioral factors as main design considerations. These factors are the core elements especially in designing interactive space. This research proposed the user-centered design methodology for interactive space. It developed Programming Process for Supporting Interactive Behaviors. To compose the process, this research analyzed the influential factors on the interactivity and the results were applied on the process. This newly proposed Programming Process contains four basic stages which are 'Opportunity Identification Cell', 'Intersubject Cell', 'Interaction & Interface Cell', and 'Programming Solution Cell'. More detailed tasks are also specified for each stage. This research asserts that the design process for Interactive space should differ from the past design processes in the fact that it puts much more attention on systemizing the psychological and behavioral elements than before. Therefore the design process for Interactive space should be reinforced with the data related to these psychological and behavioral understandings. The Programming Process of this paper is an attempt to enlarge the roles of these data in designing interactive space, and thus it is an attempt to accommodate the contemporary user-centered design paradigm.
