  • In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) where deployed sensors are not stationary, the most important demand of is to design a cost effective and reliable network. This paper proposes an energy aware network construction and routing scheme, which is based on the hierarchical approach to distribute the task in some sensors in order to prolong the network lifetime. It aims to make even the energy consumption on constitute nodes. With the node hierarchy, the sink initiates the construction by electing gateway nodes in the network and the elected gateway nodes participate to form logical clusters by electing a cluster head in each cluster. Then, the cluster heads aggregate data from the sensing sensors and transmit the data to the sink through the gateway. Our simulation result illustrates that the proposed scheme provides a basement to reduce the source of energy dissipation in network construction, and as well as in data routing.

  • For reliable water quality simulation by semi distributed model, accurate daily runoff simulation should have preceded. In this study, newly developed channel routing method which is nonlinear storage method is combination of Muskingum routing method and variable storage routing method and temporally weighted average curve number method were applied for effect analysis of water quality simulation. Developed modules, which are added in SWAT models and simulation, were conducted for the Chungju dam watershed. The simulation result by each module applied effect. As a result of analysis contribute water quality modeling, nonlinear storage method is more effective than temporally weighted average curve number method. Nutrient loading discharge was affected by development of runoff delaying from improvement of channel routing, because of characteristics of nonpoint source pollution.

Therefore, the study aims to learn information of constant attack routing protocol and of the path in network, the target of attack and build a database by encapsulating networks information routing protocol operates in order to prevent source attack paths. In addition, the study is conducted to divide network routing protocols developed from the process of dividing the various attack characters and prevent various attacks. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes attack path network and attacks of each routing protocol and secure exact mechanism for prevention by means of 3D-Puzzle, Path, and Cube of the integrated security system which is an implementation method of integrated information protection for access network defense.

  • An agent based geographic routing protocol is proposed to improve the well-known geographic routing protocol-GPSR routing protocol. In the proposed scheme, the agent is selected by sink node which concern about the source node's position as well as agent candidate's state. So packets will first be forwarded to agent and next step is to be forwarded to their final goal- sink node from agent. During the next hop selection process, nodes select their neighbors by considering not only position but also their average available buffer size. This results in efficient selection of next hop node in congestion area, and then increases the successful packet delivery ratio. The simulation is conducted for two scenarios: general number of connections and large number of connections in our map. Results show that new method with agent achieves improved performance in successful packet delivery ratio when compares to GPSR without our scheme.

  • Recently wireless sensor networks as a field of ubiquitous computing technology was in the limelight. To use and collect the necessary information, Sink node mobility is essential. TTDD(Two-Tier Data Dissemination) proposed most common technique associated with Mobile sink node in wireless sensor networks, but issues exist that the use of many control packet falls into the energy efficiency. The technique for solving problems is Cluster-Based Energy-efficient Routing protocol (CBPER). But CBPER does not transmit the data correctly to sink node or source node. In this paper, we propose An Energy-Efficient Routing Protocol based on Static Grid using mobile sink nodes in order to solve the data transmission failure and reduce the energy consumption in Wireless Sensor Networks. We have evaluated it with the NS-2 simulator. Our results show that the proposed protocol saves the energy consumption up to 34% in comparison with CBPER. We also prove that the proposed protocol can transmit more accurate data to the sink de than CBPER.

  • This paper addresses issues to efficiently collect and aggregate data of sources within a local and adjacent region in geographic routing for wireless sensor networks. We first introduce the concept of a local sink which collects and aggregates data form source nodes in the region and delivers the aggregated data to a global sink. We also design a model to determine an optimal location of the local sink and propose a mechanism to collect data through the local sink. Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism with the local sink is more efficient in terms of the energy and the data delivery ratio than the existing mechanism without the local sink in a geographic routing.

  • In this study, we present a method for efficiently aggregating networks state information required to determine feasible paths in transport networks that uses the source routing algorithm for hierarchical QoS routing. It is proposed to transform the full mesh topology whose Service Boundary Line serves as its logical link into the star topology. This is an aggregation method that can be used when there are two or more QoS parameters for the link to be aggregated in an asymmetric network, and it improves the information accuracy of the star topology. For this purpose, the Service Boundary Line's 3 attributes, splitting, joining and integrating, are defined in this study, and they are used to present a topology transformation method. The proposed method is similar to space complexity and time complexity of other known techniques. But simulation results showed that aggregated information accuracy and query response accuracy is more highly than that of other known method.

  • Since all sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks work by their own embedded batteries, if a node runs out of its battery, the sensor network can not operate normally. In this situation we should employ the routing protocols which can consume the energy of nodes efficiently. Many protocols for energy efficient routing in sensor networks have been suggested but LEACH and PEGASIS are most well known protocols. However LEACH consumes energy heavily in the head nodes and the head nodes tend to die early and PEGASIS - which is known as a better energy efficient protocol - has a long transfer time from a source node to sink node and the nodes close to the sink node expend energy sharply since it makes a long hop of data forwarding. We proposed a new hybrid protocol of LEACH and PEGASIS, which uses the clustering mechanism of LEACH and the chaining mechanism of PEGASIS and it makes the life time of sensor networks longer than other protocols and we improved the performance 33% and 18% higher than LEACH-C and PEGASIS respectively.

  • A MANET is an autonomous, infrastructureless system that consists of mobile nodes. In MANET, on-demand routing protocols are usually used because network topology changes frequently. The current approach in case of broken routes is to flag an error and re-initiate route discovery either at the source or at the intermediate node. Repairing these broken links is a costly affair in terms of routing overhead and delay involved. Therefore, this paper propose a NAODV(Neighbor-aware AODV) protocol that stands on the basis of an AODV. It sets up the route rapidly if it operates for setting the route directly by using sequence number of neighbor nodes without re-search the route when the route to destination node is broken. Also, it reduces loss of packets. We use NS-2 for the computer simulation and validate that the proposed scheme is better than general AODV in terms of packet delivery ratio and average end-to-end delay. Also, when the proposed protocol is applied to the large ad-hoc network with multiple nodes, the performance is more efficient.

  • It is not easy to access very high speed Internet services at sea due to some technical and economical problems. In order to realize the very high speed Internet services at sea like on land, new communication network models based on MANET should be adopted. In this paper, a new MANET model at sea is provided, which considered the ocean environments, and the characteristics and movement of vessels. On the basis of the fact that most vessels navigate on the predetermined courses, which are the shortest paths between source and destination ports in most cases, a type of location oriented routing protocol is proposed in this paper. The Hybrid Course-Based Routing Protocol(HCBR) makes use of the static information such as courses and positions of ports to proactively find the shortest paths not only among ports but also the cross points of courses. HCBR also makes use of the locational information of vessels obtained via GPS and AIS systems to reactively discover the shortest route by which data packets are delivered between them. We have simulated the comparison of the performance of HCBR with those of LAR scheme 1 and scheme2, the most typical protocols using geographical information. The simulation results show that HCBR guarantees the route discovery even without using any control packet. They also show that HCBR is more reliable(40%) and is able to obtain more optimal routes(10%) than LAR scheme1 and scheme2 protocols.
