Hydrogen production can be classified based on the energy source, primary reactor type, and whether or not it emits carbon dioxide. Utilizing color representation proves to be an effective means of expressing these distinctive characteristics. Among the various clean hydrogen production techniques, there has been a growing interest in turquoise hydrogen production, which involves the decomposition of methane or other fossil fuels. This method offers advantages in terms of large-scale production and cost reduction through the sale of solid-carbon byproduct. In this study, an extensive literature review was conducted to select and analyze several promising candidates for turquoise hydrogen production processes. The efficiency and economics of these processes were evaluated using stream data reported in the literature sources. The findings indicate that the levelized cost of hydrogen production (LCOH) is significantly influenced by the sales of byproducts, specifically the solid-carbon and carbon monoxide byproducts.

Leslie Marmon Silko, in her novel Gardens in the Dunes, primarily focuses on revealing the white colonialists' plan to exterminate and destroy American Indians and their culture. In this regard, this novel is clearly an Indian counter narrative to interrogate and abrogate the authority of the oppressive and destructive discourse of the whites who are full of colonialist impulses to sterilize Indians and their culture. However, it should be noted that Silko is very careful not to insist on cultural exclusivism and reverse ethnocentrism, since these only mean a return to the violent colonialists' discourse based on dualism and cultural authenticity which, she believes, has led to the marginalization and eventual deterioration of Indians and their culture. White values and culture are something to recognize and tolerate as long as they are not the products of witchery, also known as the destroyer or evil for Silko, which promotes disruption and antagonism between races and classes. As she reveals in her interview, her major concern in the novel is to dismantle political and/or racial distinctions like Native Americans versus EuroAmericans and thus to enhance the idea of the reconciliation and coexistence of whites and Indians. Silko's Gardens in the Dunes can be regarded as an experiment in the possibility of the universal and homogeneous (at least in its roots) global culture which tolerates all forms of culture. Global culture does not mean a uniform totalitarian culture but a vision of a harmonious world characterized by hybridity and heterogeneity, in which different cultures associate freely without the notion of inferiority or superiority of any one culture. Silko's belief in syncretism emphasizes the spirit of tolerance and exchange between different cultures, dismantling the authority of exclusive ethnocentrism. The ultimate message implied in Gardens in the Dunes is that the syncretic spirit is not only an effective means to correct the white colonialists' hegemonic desire aimed at the extermination of Indians and their culture but also a source of energy for the life and prosperity of modern Indians and their societies.

This paper aims at tracing the appearance of Italy in W. H. Auden's poems. Auden summered on Ischia, an island in the Gulf of Naples, between 1948 and 1957. In the process of ten years of contact with Italy, Auden' poetry developed out of Italy, and contributed to the world's picture of Italy by English poets. In the early part of his stay, Auden was fascinated with Italy and found a source of vitality for composing his poems. But Auden's initial view of Italian culture evolved from extolling its virtues to a more critical one weighing its losses and benefits. The happiest mood is reflected in "In Praise of Limestone", in which the ground itself becomes a symbol of Eden. "Ischia" introduces the real landscape of the island. Auden partly admits the darkness of the island in the aspects of its past history and legends, but the poem is still mainly about praising the beauty of the island and the comfort that it gives to the poet. In "Goodbye to the Mezzogiorno" the negative side of the island's life comes to light. There was something in the setting, warm and beautiful as it was, that no longer suited Auden's temperament and Auden bids farewell to his Mediterranean period. His view of Italy is a restricted and detached one seen through the eyes of a successful Anglo-American poet. Auden's cosmopolitan character often is defined such terms as "the Wandering Jew," "alien" or "stateless Auden". But our reading of his poems dealing with Italy reveals his true characteristics which can not transcend his evolving views.

많은 정보통신기술 기업들은 자체적으로 개발한 인공지능 기술을 오픈소스로 공개하였다. 예를 들어, 구글의 TensorFlow, 페이스북의 PyTorch, 마이크로소프트의 CNTK 등 여러 기업들은 자신들의 인공지능 기술들을 공개하고 있다. 이처럼 대중에게 딥러닝 오픈소스 소프트웨어를 공개함으로써 개발자 커뮤니티와의 관계와 인공지능 생태계를 강화하고, 사용자들의 실험, 적용, 개선을 얻을 수 있다. 이에 따라 머신러닝 분야는 급속히 성장하고 있고, 개발자들 또한 여러가지 학습 알고리즘을 재생산하여 각 영역에 활용하고 있다. 하지만 오픈소스 소프트웨어에 대한 다양한 분석들이 이루어진 데 반해, 실제 산업현장에서 딥러닝 오픈소스 소프트웨어를 개발하거나 활용하는데 유용한 연구 결과는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 딥러닝 프레임워크 사례연구를 통해 해당 프레임워크의 도입 전략을 도출하고자 한다. 기술-조직-환경 프레임워크를 기반으로 기존의 오픈 소스 소프트웨어 도입과 관련된 연구들을 리뷰하고, 이를 바탕으로 두 기업의 성공 사례와 한 기업의 실패 사례를 포함한 총 3 가지 기업의 도입 사례 분석을 통해 딥러닝 프레임워크 도입을 위한 중요한 5가지 성공 요인을 도출하였다: 팀 내 개발자의 지식과 전문성, 하드웨어(GPU) 환경, 데이터 전사 협력 체계, 딥러닝 프레임워크 플랫폼, 딥러닝 프레임워크 도구 서비스. 그리고 도출한 성공 요인을 실현하기 위한 딥러닝 프레임워크의 단계적 도입 전략을 제안하였다: 프로젝트 문제 정의, 딥러닝 방법론이 적합한 기법인지 확인, 딥러닝 프레임워크가 적합한 도구인지 확인, 기업의 딥러닝 프레임워크 사용, 기업의 딥러닝 프레임워크 확산. 본 연구를 통해 각 산업과 사업의 니즈에 따라, 딥러닝 프레임워크를 개발하거나 활용하고자 하는 기업에게 전략적인 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이라 기대된다.

최근 현대사회는 소비자의 개성과 개인 맞춤형 의류에 대한 니즈가 늘어가고 있다. 저비용으로 사용자가 직접 의류를 생산하는 니팅기는 소비자의 수요를 충족시킬 수 있는 좋은 수단이다. 하지만 사용자는 니팅기의 조작과는 별개로 소프트웨어 프로그램인 니팅기 패턴 프로그램의 사용에 어려움을 느끼고 있다. 이에 따라서 본 연구는 실증연구에 앞서 문헌조사를 진행하였고, 사용빈도가 높은 세 가지 니팅기 패턴 프로그램을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 사용성 평가를 진행하였다. 전문가 집단토론을 통하여 도출한 9가지 사용성 평가 원칙을 바탕으로 연구를 진행한 결과 9가지 평가 원칙인 가시성, 간결성, 조작성, 일관성, 정확성, 유연성, 직관성, 오류인지, 보충 설명에 대한 사용자의 니즈(Needs) 파악을 통하여 니팅기 패턴 프로그램의 인터페이스에 대한 사용성 개선의 방향성과 대안을 확인하고자 한다.

Modern society's technological and economical changes require high-level education that involve critical thinking, problem solving, and communication with others. Thus, today's perspective of mathematics and mathematics learning recognizes a potential symbolic relationship between concrete and abstract mathematics. If the problems engage students' interests and aspiration, mathematical problems can serve as a source of their motivation. In addition, if the problems stimulate students'thinking, mathematical problems can also serve as a source of meaning and understanding. From these perspectives, the purpose of my study is to prove that mathematical modeling tasks can provide opportunities for students to attach meanings to mathematical calculations and procedures, and to manipulate symbols so that they may draw out the meanings out of the conclusion to which the symbolic manipulations lead. The review of related literature regarding mathematical modeling and model are performed as a theoretical study. I especially concentrated on the study results of Freudenthal, Fischbein, Lesh, Disessea, Blum, and Niss's model systems. We also investigate the emphasis of mathematising, the classified method of mathematical modeling, and the cognitive nature of mathematical model. And We investigate the purposes of model construction and the instructive meaning of mathematical modeling. In conclusion, we have presented the methods that promote students' effective model construction ability. First, the teaching and the learning begins with problems that reflect reality. Second, if students face problems that have too much or not enough information, they will construct useful models in the process of justifying important conjecture by attempting diverse models. Lastly, the teachers must understand the modeling cycle of the students and evaluate the effectiveness of the models that the students have constructed from their classroom observations, case study, and interaction between the learner and the teacher.

Through advanced computer technology, our physical environment became a flexible and liquid space that is a multi-functional space structure, hetero-alliance, formless, interactivity. We attempt to interpretate Deleuze's Other geometry as a space designer. Hence first, the aim of this study is to define the meaning of the Other and Other geometry. Second, to extract keywords out of the Other geometry to analyze the work. Third, to analyze the work using the space formative languages(blob, blurring, distortion, folding, layering, lightness, nesting, repetition, shear, transparency, twisting, unfolding, warping, waving, and weaving). The 13 works were selected which have been issued after year 2000 with the focus on liquid space studies. The methods of this study are literature research and contents analysis. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the source is the Other who is a hidden potentials in the surrounding environment, and this source has the capability of making it part of reality anytime. Other geometry means it is a theory that is comprised of various lines that with the kind of experiences that one has in life. Second, the key words that were extracted from the theory of Deleuze's Other geometry were of (1)hetero-alliance(reflected in a sculptured shape or a fluid abstract form), (2)dis-form(by speculating the user's movements, and combining space elements with external forces), (3)interactivity (information was exchanged real time between the user and his environment where the space took on a sensory institution). Finally, after studying the works using the space formative languages, we found that blob, warping, waving were used externally, and repetition, warping and waving for mostly used internally.

Endophytic fungi have currently been acknowledged as the most promising source of bioactive compounds for drug discovery, and considerable progress has been made in exploring their diversity, species richness, and bioprospecting. Fungal endophytes from unique environmental settings offer a pool of potentially useful medicinal entities. Owing to the constant stresses imposed on macroalgae by marine environments, it is believed that algae and their associated endophytic symbionts represent a good source of structurally diverse bioactive secondary metabolites. Despite the proven significance of active metabolites of algal endophytes, little have been exploited. This review highlights the latest discoveries in algicolous endophytic research, with particular focus on the bioactive metabolites from algal endophytes. Compounds are classified according to their reported biological activities, like anticancer, antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties. Present experimental evidence suggests that a majority of the bioactive metabolites were reported from Phaeophyceae followed by Rhodophyceae and Chlorophyceae. An intensive search for newer and more effective bioactive metabolites has generated a treasure trove of publications, and this review partially covers the literature published up to 2016.

Purpose The high-technology market shows characteristics of a highly interdependent network market in both supply-side and demand-side, compared to other markets. Particularly, for convergence products, connectivity with related elements, as well as characteristics of innovation itself, is relatively important to the extent that they combine functions provided by several devices into a single device. Therefore, this study aims to identify whether network externality exists in value and adoption of a convergence product and discover a source of network externality, if any. Design/methodology/approach: Through a preceding research analysis and a literature review, 'social influence' and 'network size' have been drawn as direct network elements. On the other hand, general (comprehensive) concept compatibilities including 'intra-technology compatibility', 'inter-technology compatibility' and 'complementary-technology compatibility' are regarded as indirect network elements. Findings: Major findings are as followed;- First, it is shown that the factors influencing on perceived value of a convergence products are 'social influence' and 'network size' as the direct network elements and 'complementary-compatibility' among indirect network elements. Second, it is also found that 'intra-technology compatibility', 'inter-technology compatibility', 'complementary-compatibility' and 'perceived value' have significant effects on adoption of a convergence product. Particularly, it is known that 'complementary-compatibility' is an important source of network externality as it plays a decisive role in value judgment and has significant effects on perceived value. It is worthwhile to notice that this study comprehensively explains effects of network on high-tech products by structuring comparability as a multi-dimensional concept, as well as direct network elements.

IEEE 802.11와 같은 CSMA 무선 네트워크에서 브로드캐스트 전송을 안정성 있게 신뢰적으로 수행하기 위해, 브로드캐스트 송신 노드는 복수의 수신자들에게 충돌 없는 전송을 할 수 있도록 해야 하며 복수 수신자들의 패킷 수신 상태를 유지해야 한다. 본 논문은 무선 네트워크에서 안정적이고 신뢰적인 브로드캐스트를 수행하기 위한 효율적인 피드백 방법인 2-폴링 피드백을 제안한다. 이 방법에서 송신 노드는 두 개의 수신자 노드의 채널 상태를 확인한 후 브로드캐스트 전송을 수행한다. 본 논문은 브로드캐스트 전송을 위한 피드백 방법의 클래스를 분류하고 이들에 대해 성능 분석을 수행한다. 제안한 2-폴링 피드백 방법이 기존 피드백 방법보다 패킷 전송 지연시간과 패킷 안정화 시간 측면에서 우수함을 보인다. 2-폴링 방법은 전체-폴링 방법보다 복잡도가 낮으며, 1-폴링 방법과 비교할 때는 동일한 복잡도에 패킷 안정화 시간이 반 정도 감소함을 알 수 있다.
