저온 지열발전의 출력 극대화를 위한 흡수식 동력 사이클의 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of an Absorption Power Cycle for Maximizing the Power Output of Low-Temperature Geothermal Power Generation)

  • 본 연구에서는 지열발전 등과 같은 저온 열원을 에너지원으로 하는 발전에 응용될 수 있는 흡수식 동력 사이클의 출력 최적화를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 정상상태 사이클 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 사이클의 성능을 고찰하였다. 시뮬레이션은 열원과 열침의 입구온도 및 유량을 고정한 상태에서 수행하였으며, 일반적인 발전소의 열원-열침 유량비를 고려하였다. 사이클의 성능은 두 개의 독립변수를 이용하여 나타내었는데, 이는 분리기 입구 암모니아 농도와 터빈 입구 압력이다. 시뮬레이션 결과, $100^{\circ}C$의 지열수와 $20^{\circ}C$의 냉각수(지열수 유량의 5배) 조건에서, 흡수식 동력 사이클을 이용하면 지열수 유량 1 kg/s 당 최대 약 14 kW의 출력을 얻을 수 있음을 보였다.

Estimating the Loss Ratio of Solar Photovoltaic Electricity Generation through Stochastic Analysis

  • As climate change and environmental pollution become one of the biggest global issues today, new renewable energy, especially solar photovoltaic (PV) system, is getting great attention as a sustainable energy source. However, initial investment cost of PV system is considerable, and thus, it is crucial to predict electricity generation accurately before installation of the system. This study analyzes the loss ratio of solar photovoltaic electricity generation from the actual PV system monitoring data to predict electricity generation more accurately in advance. This study is carried out with the following five steps: (i) Data collection of actual electricity generation from PV system and the related information; (ii) Calculation of simulation-based electricity generation; (iii) Comparative analysis between actual electricity generation and simulation-based electricity generation based on the seasonality; (iv) Stochastic approach by defining probability distribution of loss ratio between actual electricity generation and simulation-based electricity generation ; and (v) Case study by conducting Monte-Carlo Simulation (MCS) based on the probability distribution function of loss ratio. The results of this study could be used (i) to estimate electricity generation from PV system more accurately before installation of the system, (ii) to establish the optimal maintenance strategy for the different application fields and the different season, and (iii) to conduct feasibility study on investment at the level of life cycle.

소프트웨어 품질향상을 위한 소스코드 기반의 테스트 케이스 자동 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Automatic Generation of Test Case Based on Source Code for Quality Improvement)

  • 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 개발 과정에서 소프트웨어의 품질향상에 필요한 소스코드의 API를 기반으로 테스트 케이스를 자동으로 생성할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 Doxygen 오픈소스 툴을 이용한 소스코드 분석 과정, 분석된 결과를 이용한 API 사양 정의 과정, 테스트 디자인 생성 과정, Pairwise Test 기법을 적용한 테스트 케이스 생성 과정 등의 4가지 과정으로 구성된다. Doxygen 오픈소스 툴을 이용한 소스코드 분석 과정은 소스코드의 API 정보인 API 명, 입력 파라미터, 리턴 파라미터 정보 등을 추출하는 단계이다. 분석된 결과를 이용한 API 사양 정의 과정은 추출한 API 정보를 바탕으로 SQLite 데이터베이스를 이용하여 테스트 케이스 생성에 필요한 API 정보들을 데이터베이스화하여 정의하는 단계이다. 테스트 디자인 생성 과정은 정의된 API를 기반으로 입력 파라미터, 리턴 파라미터의 임계치 설정, 제약사항 설정 등을 통해 시나리오를 디자인하여 데이터베이스로 구성하는 단계이다. Pairwise Test 기법을 적용한 테스트 케이스 생성 과정은 테스트 디자인 정보를 바탕으로 Pairwise 조합 기법을 적용하여 실제 테스트 케이스를 생성하여 데이터베이스로 구성하는 단계이다. 제안된 기법의 효율성을 평가하기 위하여 기존의 명세서 기반의 테스트 케이스 생성 방법과 비교한 결과 비슷한 시간 내에 훨씬 더 많은 테스트 케이스가 생성되며, 명세 기반 기법으로는 불가능한 소스코드에 대한 기능 검증도 가능하여 소스코드내 결함 위치도 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 사람의 인력을 통한 수작업에 의존적으로 진행하였던 소프트웨어 개발 품질 향상 과정을 소스코드의 API를 기반으로 자동으로 테스트 케이스를 생성함으로써, 노동력 절감 및 제품 개발 시간 등을 단축 할 수 있으리라 기대된다.

Secret Key Generation Using Reciprocity in Ultra-wideband Outdoor Wireless Channels

  • To investigate schemes of secret key generation from Ultra-wideband (UWB) channel, we study a statistical characterization of UWB outdoor channel for a campus playground scenario based on extensive measurements. Moreover, an efficient secret key generation mechanism exploiting multipath relative delay is developed, and verification of this algorithm is conducted in UWB Line-of-sight (LOS) outdoor channels. For the first time, we compare key-mismatch probability of UWB indoor and outdoor environments. Simulation results demonstrate that the number of multipath proportionally affects key generation rate and key-mismatch probability. In comparison to the conventional method using received signal strength (RSS) as a common random source, our mechanism achieves better performance in terms of common secret bit generation. Simultaneously, security analysis indicates that the proposed scheme can still guarantee security even in the sparse outdoor physical environment free of many reflectors.

  • So far, it was very difficult to simulate the dispersed generation system including PV generation system using EMTP or EMTDC because the source of the dispersed generation system has a particular VI characteristic equation. In this paper, a novel simulation method of PV generation system has proposed and a new solar cell component for EMTDC is also developed. The VI characteristic equation of solar cell is used in order to realize the solar generation system in EMTDC simulation. Consequently the simulation of PV power generation system using field data is realized and acceptable results, which show close match between the real data of PV panel and the simulated data, were obtained.

커튼 월에 적용하는 플랙시블 태양전지의 모양에 따른 성능 비교 (Comparison of Performance of Flexible Solar Cells construction applied to Curtain Walls)

  • In this paper presents comparison of performance of flexible solar cells construction applied to curtain walls. The proposed paper compares power generation for curtain walls of various shapes using flexible PV. Through the comparison of performance, the power generation was compared by installing various types of flexible PV on the air layer of double windows. By comparing the measured power generation, it is possible to find an optimal flexible PV shape that can be applied to a curtain wall. Flexible PV installation was divided into diagonal, S and W shapes. As a result of comparison, the amount of power generation when there was no flexure of flexible PV was large. Also, as the angle with the light source increased, the power generation decreased. Therefore, it is necessary to study the structure which can fix the PV more than the flexible PV and to be able to direct the sun without distortion.

  • In this paper, a novel control scheme compensating source voltage unbalance and harmonic currents for hybrid active power filters is proposed, where no low/high-pass filters are used in compensation voltage composition. The phase angle and compensation voltages for source harmonic current and unbalanced voltage components are derived from the positive sequence component of the unbalanced voltage set, which is simply obtained by using digital all-pass filters. Since a balanced set of the source voltage obtained by scaling the positive sequence components is used as reference values for source current and load voltage, it is possible to eliminate the necessity of low/high-pass filters in the reference generation. Therefore the control algorithm is much simpler and gives more stable performance than the conventional method. In addition, the source harmonic current is eliminated by compensating for the harmonic voltage of the load side added to feedback control of the fundamental component.

  • How to maintain the optimal electric power generation mix is one of the important problems in electric power industry. The objective of this study is to develop a computer model which can be used to forecast the investment in power generation unit by the plant owners after restructuring of electric power industry. Restructuring of electric power industry will make difference in decision making process of investment in power generation unit. After Privatiazation of Power Industry, Gencos will think that profit is the most important factor among all others attracting the investment in the industry. Coal power generation is better than LNG CCGT in terms of profit. However, many studies show that LNG CCGT will be main electric power generation source because the rest of factors other than profit in LNG CCGT are superior than Coal power generation. Because the nst of factors other than profit in LNG CCGT are superior than Coal power generation. The impacts of the various government policies can be analyzed using the computer model, thus the government can formulate effective policies for achieving the desired electric power generation mix.
