인공 구조물에 의한 해빈변형 연구 (The Study of the Beach Change into Structures)

  • Even though there can be a relative long-term or short-term change of their size in natural beaches due to various changes of sea condition such as the location, weather condition (wind and rain) and sea water flow, the budget of deposits in a specific area is generally regarded to be in a condition of equilibrium in terms of technology. However, as coasts are developed by many different kinds of ways (such as construction of sea walls and estuarine, dredging for gathering the aggregate and shore protection construction for establishing a structure) and sources of silt and gravel from rivers are decreased in balanced beaches, the beaches are in a serious danger of lack of sand and sand sources which are one of the maul elements to consist of them. Many swimming beaches in East Sea are directly exposed by waves generated and transmitted from outer seas. On the other hand, the Song-Do sandy beach which is this study's target area has a great condition for beach development because it locates the deepest place that is relatively shallow in Young-Il Man and there is big energy decrease given to waves from outer seas while the waves are reaching the Song-Do beach. Nevertheless, it is considered that artificial condition changes such as dredging for site extension by POSCO, getting straight of Hyoung-San Gang river flow and extension of Po-Hang harbor caused the sand loss of the beach. Therefore, some recovery plans of Song-Do sandy beach will be presented in this study and they will be compared and examined each other by numerical modeling experiment. After that, the best plan will be recommended.

서해산 일반 꽃게와 보라색 변이 꽃게의 계측형질 및 AFLP 분석에 의한 집단 구조 (Population Structure of the Blue and Purple Types of the Blue Crab Portunus trituberculatus (Miers) from the West Sea of Korea Based on Morphometric Characteristics and AFLP Analysis)

  • In Korean waters, there are two color types (blue and purple) of the blue crab Portunus trituberculatus. The blue type is common, but the ratio of the purple type has increased in landings. To determine whether there were significant morphometric or genetic differences between the blue and purple types, crabs caught from the West Sea of Korea were examined. Based on covariance analysis, there were significant differences in 1 of 10 morphometric characteristics of males between the two types, in none of the ten characteristics for females. Using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) DNA fingerprinting, no specific AFLP marker was detected for each type. The heterozygosity and genetic diversity were very low. Analyses of pairwise distance, the Fst index, and genetic similarity revealed similar results, with very low genetic differentiation. Therefore, there is no significant difference between blue and purple types of the crab from the West Sea of Korea, and the two types in the West Sea can be managed as one stock.

대기화학-에어로졸 연동에 따른 기후예측시스템(GloSea6)의 동아시아 봄철 예측 성능 향상 가능성 (Possibilities for Improvement in Long-term Predictions of the Operational Climate Prediction System (GloSea6) for Spring by including Atmospheric Chemistry-Aerosol Interactions over East Asia)

  • 1개월과 3개월 장기 예보를 지원하기 위해 기상청에서 현업운용 중인 GloSea6 기후예측시스템에는 대기 중 대기화학-에어로졸 물리과정(UKCA)이 연동되어 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 저해상도의 GloSea6와 여기에 대기화학-에어로졸 과정을 연동시킨 GloSea6-UKCA를 CentOS 기반 리눅스 클러스터에 설치하여 2000년 봄철에 대한 예비적인 예측결과를 살펴보았다. 현업 고해상도 GloSea6 모델이 방대한 전산자원을 필요로 한다는 점을 고려할 때, 저해상도 GloSea6와 GloSea6-UKCA 모델은 대기화학-에어로졸 과정의 연동에 따른 효과를 살펴보기에 적합하다. 저해상도 GloSea6와 GloSea6-UKCA는 2000년 3월 1일 00Z부터 75일 간 구동되었으며, 두 모델이 예측한 2000년 4월 지상 기온과 일평균 강수량의 공간 분포를 ERA5 재분석자료와 비교하였다. GloSea6-UKCA가 예측한 기온과 강수 분포는 기존 GloSea6에 비해 ERA5 재분석자료에 보다 더 유사해졌다. 특히 우리나라를 포함한 동아시아 지역에 대해 과대 모의 경향이 있던 봄철 지상 기온과 일평균 강수량의 예측 결과의 개선이 주목할 만하다. 또한 적분 시간에 따른 예측된 기온과 강수량의 시계열에서도 GloSea6-UKCA가 GloSea6보다 재분석자료에 더 가까워진 시간 변화 경향을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이는 대기화학-에어로졸 과정이 GloSea6에 연동되었을 때 동아시아지역 봄철 예측 성능이 개선될 수 있음을 보여준다.

동해 남부 연안 정치망어업의 수온에 따른 종조성 변동 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Changes in Species Composition with Water Temperature in Set Net Fishing on the Southern Coast of the East Sea)

  • The southern coast of the East Sea is an important area affected by large warm currents as it connects the coastal waters of Jeju Island, the South Sea, and Dokdo. From 2017 to 2021, the average catch per unit effort (CPUE; kg/day/ship) of set net fishery at six ports in the Gyeongbuk region off the southern coast of the East Sea was the highest in Gampo, Gyeongju, and the lowest in Hupo, Uljin. Although the seasonal variation in the CPUE differed by region and year, it was generally high in autumn. In the set net fishery in Pohang from 2019 to 2021, we identified 72 species, which decreased to 56 species in 2019, 46 in 2020, and 41 in 2021. The species diversity index slightly increased over the three-year periods. We found positive correlations between the total catch (kg) of subtropical species in autumn and the water temperature at 50 m. Among the most abundant species, we found substantially positive correlations between the CPUE of Scomber japonicus, Scomberomous spp. and Carangids. We also noted positive correlations between the CPUE of Todarodes pacificus, Seriola spp. and Carangids.

  • We have studied on the effect of hydrochloric acid on the hydrolysis of dried cuttlefish, sardine, shrimp, sea mussel and undaria taking various concentration of acid, heating at various periods at constant temperatures and under atmospheric pressure following results were obtained. 1. The addition of HCl increases hydrolysis ratio of marine products rapidly, having maximum point of its ratio at 30% of dried cuttlefish and shrimp, at 25% of sea mussel and undaria, at 15% of sardine. 2. Hydrolysis ratios of cuttlefish and shirmp, sea mussel and undaria, and sardine reach maximum values at 30% of HCl, 25% of HCl and 15% of HCl, respectively.

선체 운동 평가를 위한 다기능 계측시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study On the Development of Multi-Purpose Measurement System for the Evaluation of Ship Dynamic Motion)

  • In order to evaluate the safety of navigation at sea and the safety of mooring ship on berthing, it is necessary that the wave and wind induced ship dynamic motion should be measured in real time domain for the validity of theoretical evaluation method such as sea-keeping performance and safety of mooring. In this paper, the basic design of sensors is discussed and some system configurations were shown. The developed system mainly consists of 4 kinds of sensors such as three dimensional accelerator, two dimensional tilt sensor, two displacement sensors and azimuth sensor. Using the this measuring system, it can be obtained the 6 degrees of freedom of ship dynamic motions at sea and on berthing such as rolling, pitching, yawing, sway, heave, surge under the external forces.
