Orientation of $(Na_{1/2}Bi_{1/2})TiO_3$ thin films deposited on $LaNiO_3$ electrodes by sol-gel methode (졸-겔법으로 $LaNiO_3$ 전극에 증착된 $(Na_{0.5}Bi_{0.5})TiO_3$ 박막의 배향성)

  • Sodum bismuth titanate $(Na_{0.5}Bi_{0.5}TiO_3$ or NBT) thin films coated on the $LaNiO_3$ (LNO) electrode by sol-gel methode and rapid thermal annealing (RTA) technique. The NBT (NBT/LNO/Si) thin films examined by x-ray diffraction (XRD). The orientation of NBT was observed for films coated at $900^{\circ}C$, 5 min and $600^{\circ}C$, 60 min. Filed emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) showed uniform surface composed of grains. The grain size of NBT thin films increased with increasing annealing temperature.

  • In this study, the influence of electrochemical properties by mixing Tetrabutylammonium hydroxide (TBAOH) and ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) electrode on the dssc. The titanias were prepared using a sol-gel method by mixing Tetrabutylammonium hydroxide and Ammonium hydroxide. The $TiO_2$ nanopowder prepared by sol-gel methode, and to improve the distributed properties of $TiO_2$ nanopowder, the TBAOH and NH4OH was added. The I-V values of cells show that the Tetrabutylammonium has 6.51% efficiency.

  • Titanium dioxide is a suitable material for industrial use at present and in the future because titanium dioxide has efficient photoactivity, good stability and low cost [1]. Among the three phases (anatase, rutile, brookite) of titanium dioxide, the anatase form is particularly photocatalytically active under ultraviolet (UV) light. In fabrication of photocatalytic devices based on catalytic nanodiodes [2], it is challenging to obtain a photocatalytically active TiO2 thin film that can be prepared at low temperature (< 200$^{\circ}C$). Here, we present the synthesis of a titanium dioxide film using TiO2 nanoparticles and sol-gel methods. Titanium tetra-isopropoxide was used as the precursor and alcohol as the solvent. Titanium dioxide thin films were made using spin coating. The change of atomic structure was monitored after heating the thin film at 200$^{\circ}C$ and at 350$^{\circ}C$. The prepared samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microcopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), and ellipsometry. XRD spectra show an anatase phase at low temperature, 200$^{\circ}C$. UV-vis confirms the anatase phase band gap energy (3.2 eV) when using the photocatalyst. TEM images reveal crystallization of the titanium dioxide at 200$^{\circ}C$. We will discuss the switching behavior of the Pt /sol-gel TiO2 /Pt layers that can be a new type of resistive random-access memory.

A Study on the Efficiency of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell Based on the Volume of Binder Addition (바인더 함량에 따른 염료감응 태양전지의 효율에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we have fabricated the dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) composed by a transparent conductive oxide (TCO), a nanocrystalline semiconductor film usually $TiO_2$, a sensitizer adsorbed on the surface of the semiconductor, an electrolyte containing a redox mediator and a counter electrode. The $TiO_2$ nanopowder was prepared by sol-gel methode. The HCl (hydrochloric acid) and TBAOH (Tetrabutyl amonium hydroxide) was added for improving the catalyst and distributed properties of $TiO_2$ nanopowder. Ammonium hydroixde was added in order to control the morphology and size of $TiO_2$ nano crystal. A $TiO_2$ paste for working electrode was prepared with the addition of HPC (hydroxypropyl cellulos) used as a binder of which volume was controled as 1.3, 1.5, 1.7, and 2.0%. The measured I-V curves of assembled DSSC showed that the cell with 1.7% HPC binder had the best efficiency of 6.79%.

  • NASICON sensors compare properties with manufacture method in order to improve $CO_2$ sensitivity and stability the sensing behaviors. Oxidation mixing method and Sol-gel method were compare analyze to characteristic in which each other sintered to $900^{\circ}C\;to\;1100^{\circ}C$ and NASICON $CO_2$ gas sensors were fabricate. Oxidation mixing method showed better sensing properties at sintered $1100^{\circ}C$ result to NASICON electrolyte analyze with manufacture methods.

  • In this work, ramp loading scratch method was used to evaluate the scratch characteristics of HDD media and ZnO thin films. Commercially available HDD media and ZnO thin films grown on silicon(100) substrate by sol-gel method were used. As for the ZnO films, the effects of annealing temperature after the film deposition process were also investigated. A custom built scratch tester was used to scratch the specimen under a ramp loading condition. The scratch track formed by ramp loading was measured by optical microscope and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The wear depth and width were used to assess the scratch characteristics of the HDD Media and ZnO thin films. The results showed that ZnO film annealed at $800^{\circ}C$ had the best scratch resistance property. Also, the HDD media showed overall better scratch resistance than the ZnO films.

  • $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ cathode material was synthesized by a mixed hydroxide methode. The surface of the $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ was coated with a carbon by using a sol-gel method to improve further its electrochemical properties. Electrochemical studies were performed by assembling 2032 coin cells with lithium metal as an anode. OSC (differential scanning calorimetry) data showed that exothermic reactions of charged to 4.3V vs. Li was suppressed in the carbon-coated materials. The carbon-coated $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ showed the improved rate capability and thermal stability.
