강원도 석탄 폐광지 주변 폐석더미에서 복토와 식생기반재 처리가 소나무(Pinus densiflora Siebold & Zucc.)와 참싸리(Lespedeza cyrtobotrya Miq.)의 경쟁에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soil Covering Depth and Vegetation Base Materials on the Competition between Pinus densiflora Siebold & Zucc. and Lespedeza cyrtobotrya Miq. at Abandoned Coal Mine Land in Gangwon, Korea)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of soil covering depth and vegetation base materials on the competition between Pinus densiflora Siebold & Zucc. and Lespedeza cyrtobotrya Miq., which were grown in an abandoned coal mine land for three years after seeding, by comparing their growth and stem density. The study site was consisted of sub-plots with four different soil covering depths (0cm, 10cm, 20cm, and 30cm) and four different compounds of vegetation base materials (peat moss (control), soil conditioner+peat moss (S+P), erosion control material+peat moss (E+P), and soil conditioner+erosion control material+peat moss (S+E+P)). Results of this study showed opposite pattern between P. densiflora and L. cyrtobotrya with different soil covering depth and compounds of vegetation base materials in general. P. densiflora showed the highest growth and stem density in plots with 10cm and 0cm depths of soil covering, respectively, while the lowest was shown in plots with 20cm depth of soil covering. In contrast, L. cyrtobotrya showed the highest growth and stem density in plots with 20cm depth of soil covering, while the lowest was shown in plots with 0cm depth of soil covering. In case of vegetation base materials, P. densiflora showed the highest growth and stem density in control plots and plots treated with S+P, respectively, while the lowest was shown in plots with S+E+P treatment. On the other hand, L. cyrtobotrya showed the highest growth and stem density in plots treated with S+E+P, while the lowest was shown in control plots. These results suggested the competition between two plants as a major cause of opposite patterns, which is induced by the suppressed growth and stem density of P. densiflora by fast growing L. cyrtobotrya. Despite the suppression of L. cyrtobotrya on P. densiflora, L. cyrtobotrya can play a positive role in improving soil quality, and thus it would be more desirable for restoring abandoned coal mine land to manage the growth of L. cyrtobotrya periodically, rather than eliminate them.

신개간경사지 토양개량과 작물생육에 관한 연구 VI. 토양의 물리화학성 년차간 변화가 옥수수 청예수량에 미치는 영향 (The Soil Improvement and Plant Growth on the Newly-Reclaimed Sloped land VI. Relationship between annual change of soil phsico-chemical properties and yield of silage corn)

  • This study was experimented to obtain the basic information on the changeable aspect and improvement of soil fertility in newly-reclaimed sloped land. Silage corn was cultivated under the six different treatments for 4 years. The relation between the amount or ratio of annual changes of soil physico-chemical properties and yield of silage corn were analyzed. Soil bulk density was decreased in 3rd year at topsoil, but that decreased in 4th year at subsoil. Soil organic matter also decreased in 2nd year at topsoil, and decreased continuously at subsoil. Bulk density and hardness of soil depths showed significant negative simple correlation with dry matter yield and cation exchange capacity showed positive. Correlation coefficient of chemical properties with dry matter yield were low. The range of annual changes of moisture percent, hardness and organic matter were wider than the other properties. The significantly different of physical properties were higher than the chemical properties, and those of topsoil were higher than subsoil. According to multiple regression between yield and physico-chemical properties of subsoil, bulk density and cation exchange capacity were in the greatest contribution at the variations, but bulk density was greatest at the ratios.

벼 소식재배를 위한 무복토 육묘 연구 (A Research on None Covering of Top-soil for Rice Seedling Nursery for Sparse Machine Transplanted Rice)

  • To determine none top soil covering in rice seedling nursery method for the sparse machine transplanting, four different sowing methods were tested. Shoot and root length, fresh weight, leaf number and color using leaf color chart(LCC) and SPAD were collected as the data comparison of methods. The seedling height showed the highest growth according to the conventional (230g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and top-soil covering) > high sowing density 1 (290g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and top-soil covering) ≥ high sowing density 2(290g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and none top-soil covering) > high sowing density 3(290g seed rate of iron-coated seeds and none top-soil covering). There was any statistical difference between groups in root length, leaf number, LCC, and SPAD values. Thus, a high sowing density of 290g for rice nursery seedling box was recommended to the sparse machine transplanting in rice cultivation with the none top-soil covering method, enabling convenient handling in transportation and machine transplanting work.

배추무사마귀병균의 토양내 분포 (Distribution of lasmodiophora brassicae Causing clubroot Disease of Chinese Cabbage in Soil)

  • 심하게 이병된 배추포장내 무사마귀병균의 수직분포를 보면 토양의 심도가 깊어질수록 무사마귀병균의 밀도는 급격히 감소하였으며 무사마귀병균의 97%가 지하 5cm 이내의 표토에 분포하였고 지하 40cm 토양에서도 소량 검출되었다. 수평분포를 보면 무사마귀병균은 배추포기중심에 모여 있다기보다는 전 포장에 골고루 분포하고 있어서 한곳에 몰려 분포하는 현상은 발견되지 않았다. 평창의 23개 배추지역의 무사마귀병균의 밀도는 1$\times$$10^4$포자/g 토양 이하의 밀도가 낮은 곳에서부터 $10^{6}$ 토양이상의 밀도가 높은 포장까지 폭넓게 분포하고 있었다. 작물을 재배하기 않은 처녀지 토양은 밀도가 $10^4$토양 이하로 극히 낮거나 전혀 검출되지 않았으며 심하게 이병된 배추밭의 밀도는 $10^{5}$/g 토양이상으로 대단히 높았다. 건전 배추밭과 배추 이외의 타작물을 재배하고 있는 포장내 밀도는 이보다 상당히 낮아서 심고 있는 작물에 따라서 토양내 무사마귀병균 밀도에 큰 차이가 있었다 작부체계별 밀도분포를 보면 다소 예외는 있으나 배추, 무 등의 기주작물을 연작한 곳일수록 밀도가 높게 나타났으며, 약초, 옥수수, 메밀, 기타 채소 등 비기주작물을 재배한 곳일수록 무사마귀병균의 밀도가 낮은 곳이 많았다. 배추, 무 등의 기주작물을 연작하면 토양내 무사마귀병균의 밀도는 점차 상승하는 경향이었고 반면에 당귀, 메밀 등 비기주작물로 윤작한 포장의 밀도는 급격히 감소하는 경향이어서 무사마귀병균의 토양내 생존은 작부체계에 의해 크게 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 사용한 개량형광염색방법은 기존의 방법에 비해 토양내 휴면포자의 식별이 보다 용이해졌을 뿐만 아니라 그 검출효율도 증진되었고 조작이 간편하여 큰 숙련없이 밀도를 측정할 수 있어 향후 토양내 무사마귀병균의 동태를 연구하는데 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.다.

  • Soil volume conversion factors are used for estimation of an excavated the soil volume which will be removed or added in levelling the ground surface of a construction site. An accurate evaluation method will help us reduce a construction cost and time consuming. In this study, we performed the laboratory tests, including grain size measurement, water content, specific gravity, porosity, density and XRD tests, to suggest reliable soil volume conversion factors and weathering indices in field using nondestructive methods. The weathering index and soil volume conversion factor L are obtained for different types of soils. At results, the CIW index is the best method measuring the weathering index and the factor L is relative to natural porosity, void ratio, density and dry density.

고주파 임피던스를 이용한 토양수분함량 측정에 관한 연구 (Measurement of Soil Moisture Content Using RF Impedance in the Range of 1 to 30MHz)

  • This study was conducted to measure the moisture content of soil using RF impedance in the range of 1 to 30MHz. Considering the water potential flow in the soils, two types of sensor such as parallel cylinder and perpendicular plate type were fabricated and tested. The capacitance and resistance of sonsors for soil samples having moisture content range of 2 to 27% were measured by Q-meter (HP4342). The higher soil moisture content was and the larger soil bulk density was, the more the capacitance of sensors increased. To eliminate the effect of bulk density on measuring soil moisture content using RF impedance, two kinds of model having the density independent functions such as the ratio of capacitance change to conductance change and weight of water and dry soils respectively were developed and estimated by regression analysis.

지리산 피아골 토양 미소절지동물상의 계절적 변화 및 수직분포 (Seasonal Abundance and Vertical Distribution of Soil Microarthropods at the Piagol Mt Chiri)

  • Density fluctuations of soil microarthropods at the Piagol, Mt. Chiri was assessed on the basis of 113, 096 individuals collected from March 1993 to February 1994. Of 6 classes, and 18 orders, the Arachnida and Insecta were the most numerous members with abundance of 51.4% and 46.3%, respectively. The mean density of the Acari was $13, 310/m^2$ of microarthropods. The Acari were abundant in autumn and less found in winter and the density fluctuation of the Collembola followed a similar trend. The vertical distribution of the mesofauna revealed from the soil samples taken from the surface to 5 and from 5 to 10 cm in depths was as follows. In 5~10 cm layer. Collembola was numerous with abundance of 54.7%, followed by 40.1% fo Acari and the soil microarthropods reached the highest density peak in spring, while the lowest in winter. Populations concentrated in the 0~5 cm layer as much as 62.2% throughtout the season and 82.4% throughtout the altitudes. The Acari / Collembola (A/C) ratio in the 0~5 cm layer was higher than that in the 5~10 cm.

인발력을 받는 무리말뚝의 응력-변위 특성 (Characteristics of Stress-Displacement on Uplift Loaded Group Piles)

  • This experimental study was devoted to investigate skin friction of H group piles with uplift loading conditions in granite soil under laboratory test. Model piles made of steel embedded in weathered granite soil were used in this study. Pile arrangements($2{\times}2,\;3{\times}3$), pile space(2D, 4D, 6D), and soil density($D_r=40%,\;80%$) were tested. The main results obtained from the model tests can be summarized as follows. The series of tests found that ultimate uplift load and displacement for group piles were increased as piles space ratio increases to $D_r=40%$ of soil density. In the relative density of $D_r=80%$, bearing capacity for group piles was greater than for single pile. In the relative density of $D_r=40%$, the theoretical value of skin friction for group piles was greater than practical value. In the relative density of $D_r=80%$, both theoretical and practical value of skin friction for group piles were increased as piles space ratio increases.

Effects of element composition in soil samples on the efficiencies of gamma energy peaks evaluated by the MCNP5 code

  • In this work, self-absorption correction factor related to the variation of the composition and the density of soil samples were evaluated using the p-type HPGe detector. The validated MCNP5 simulation model of this detector was used to evaluate its Full Energy Peak Efficiency (FEPE) under the variation of the composition and the density of the analysed samples. The results indicates that FEPE calculation of low gamma ray is affected by the composition and the density of soil samples. The self-absorption correction factors for different gamma-ray energies which was fitted as a function of FEPEs via density and energy and fitting parameters as polynomial function for the logarithm neper of gamma ray energy help to calculate quickly the detection efficiency of detector. Factor Analysis for the influence of the element composition in analysed samples on the FEPE indicates the FEPE distribution changes from non-metal to metal groups when the gamma ray energy increases from 92 keV to 238 keV. At energies above 238 keV, the FEPE primarily depends only on the metal elements and is significantly affected by aluminium and silicon composition in soil samples.

  • The laboratory tests were peformed to investigate the relationship between electrical resistivity and the unsaturated subsurface condition and to evaluate the contamination due to leachate based on measuring electrical resistivity. For weathered granite soil, the electrical resistivity of soil decreases as moisture density increases. The electrical resistivity of soil decreases as the concentration of leachate in pore fluid increases since leachate contains various ionic constituents. And the modified Archie's equation for applying to unsaturated sand is derived by regression analysis.
