Recently there has been a marked increase in concern for security in computerized operations. The purposes of computer security controls are to protect against the unauthorized access to and modification of data processing resources, unauthorised access to and modification of data files and software, and the misuse of authorized activities. The controls relate to the physical security of the data processing department and of the areas within the data processing department : to the security of the data files, programs, and system software : and to the human interaction with the data files, programs, and system software. The controls that will be discussed in this paper include : I. Risk on the computer use. II. Methods of risk counter measure. III. Role of system auditing.

Cyber attacks are an important factor that determines the victory and defeat of Network-centric wars in which advanced weapon systems are highly interlinked. In addition the increasing dependability on software as its develop as the latest fighter is demanding enhanced security measures for fighter software to Cyber attacks. In this paper, we apply the DO-326A, which is an airworthiness security certification standard, to design a risk-based security threat assessment process by reflecting characteristics and operational environment of fighter aircraft. To do this, we add the following steps in security threat assessment stage of DO-326A's airworthiness security certification process. First, we derive security threats of fighter. And then, we scored the security threat in terms of possibility and impact on the fighter. Finally, we determine the security risk severity.

As wireless communication functions begin to be installed in vehicles, cyberattacks that exploit vulnerabilities in wireless communication functions are increasing. To respond to this, UNECE enacted the UN R156 regulation to safely distribute the software installed in the vehicle by using the wireless communication function. The regulations specify the requirements necessary to safely distribute the software for vehicles, but only the abstract requirements are presented without information on the components and detailed functions necessary to develop and implement the requirements. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a security evaluation standard that can evaluate whether a safe SUMS is built using threat modeling, a method for systematically analyzing security threats.

The prominence of IoTs (Internet of Things) and exponential advancement of computer networks has resulted in massive essential applications. Recognizing various cyber-attacks or anomalies in networks and establishing effective intrusion recognition systems are becoming increasingly vital to current security. MLTs (Machine Learning Techniques) can be developed for such data-driven intelligent recognition systems. Researchers have employed a TFDNNs (Tensor Flow Deep Neural Networks) and DCNNs (Deep Convolution Neural Networks) to recognize pirated software and malwares efficiently. However, tuning the amount of neurons in multiple layers with activation functions leads to learning error rates, degrading classifier's reliability. HTFDNNs ( Hybrid tensor flow DNNs) and MRNs (Modified Residual Networks) or Resnet CNNs were presented to recognize software piracy and malwares. This study proposes HTFDNNs to identify stolen software starting with plagiarized source codes. This work uses Tokens and weights for filtering noises while focusing on token's for identifying source code thefts. DLTs (Deep learning techniques) are then used to detect plagiarized sources. Data from Google Code Jam is used for finding software piracy. MRNs visualize colour images for identifying harms in networks using IoTs. Malware samples of Maling dataset is used for tests in this work.

The security requirements identification in the software development has received some attention recently. However, previous methods do not provide clear method and process of security requirements identification. We propose a process that software developers can build application specific security requirements from state transition diagrams at the security threat location. The proposed process consists of building model and identifying application specific security requirements. The state transition diagram is constructed through subprocesses i) the identification of security threat locations using security failure data based on the point that attackers exploit software vulnerabilities and attack system assets, ii) the construction of a state transition diagram which is usable to protect, mitigate, and remove vulnerabilities of security threat locations. The identification Process of application specific security requirements consist of i) the analysis of the functional requirements of the software, which are decomposed into a DFD(Data Flow Diagram; the identification of the security threat location; and the appliance of the corresponding state transition diagram into the security threat locations, ii) the construction of the application specific state transition diagram, iii) the construction of security requirements based on the rule of the identification of security requirements. The proposed method is helpful to identify the security requirements easily at an early phase of software development.

We proposed a new scoring system on software vulnerabilities, which calculates quantitatively the severity of software vulnerabilities. The proposed scoring system consists of metrics for vulnerability severity and scoring equations; the metrics are designed to measure the severity of a software vulnerability considering the prevalence of the vulnerability, the risk level of the vulnerability, the domestic market share of the software and the frequency of the software. We applied the proposed scoring system to domestically reported software vulnerabilities, and discussed the effectiveness of the scoring system, comparing it with CVSS and CWSS. We also suggested the prospective utilization areas of the proposed scoring system.

Recently software security of the smart phone is an important issue in the field of information science and technology due to fast propagation of smart technology in our life. The smart phone as the security critical systems which are utilizing in terminal systems of the banking, ubiquitous home management, airline passengers screening, and so on are related to the risk of costs, risk of loss, risk of availability, and risk by usage. For the security issues, software hazard analysis of smart phone is the key approaching method by use of observed failures. In this paper, we propose an efficient integrative framework for software security analysis of the smart phone using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to gain a convergence security and reliability analysis technique on hand handle devices. And we discuss about that if a failure mode effect analysis performs simpler, not only for improving security but also reducing failure effects on this smart device, the proposed integrative framework is a key solution.

Software defined networking technology allows centralized and powerful network control by separating packet processing and network control. However, powerfulness of software-defined networking technology threats the network itself. Most security researches of software-defined networking focus on discovering and defending network vulnerabilities. But, there is not much security for this technology itself. In this paper, the security vulnerabilities that can occur in this networking technology are analyzed and the security requirements of it are proposed. The biggest threats are the threats to the controller, the reliability problem between the controller and the switch must be solved, and a technique to detect attacks that malfunction by manipulating configuration information are needed.
According to the trend of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, the need for technology research that can be applied to cyber security personnel management and training systems is constantly being raised not only overseas but also in Korea. Previously, the US and UK have already recognized the need and have been steadily conducting related research from the past. In the United States, by encouraging applications based on related research (NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework) and disclosing successful use cases to the outside, it is laying the groundwork for profiling cyber security experts. However in Korea, research on cyber security expert training and profiling is insufficient compared to other countries. Therefore, in this study, in order to create a system suitable for the domestic situation, research and analysis of cases in the United States and the United Kingdom were conducted over the past few years, and based on this, a prototype was produced for the study of profiling technology for domestic cyber security experts.
We introduce a novel high-level security metrics objective taxonomization model for software- intensive systems. The model systematizes and organizes security metrics development activities. It focuses on the security level and security performance of technical systems while taking into account the alignment of metrics objectives with different business and other management goals. The model emphasizes the roles of security-enforcing mechanisms, the overall security quality of the system under investigation, and secure system lifecycle, project and business management. Security correctness, effectiveness and efficiency are seen as the fundamental measurement objectives, determining the directions for more detailed security metrics development. Integration of the proposed model with riskdriven security metrics development approaches is also discussed.
