  • A component is a reusable and replaceable software module accessed through its interface. Component-based development is expected to shorten the development period, reduce maintenance costs, and improve program reusability and the interoperability of components. This paper proposes a new robot software component platform in order to support the entire process of robot software development. It consists of specifications of a component model, component authoring tool, component composer, and component execution engine. To show its feasibility, this paper presents the analysis results of the component's communication overhead, a comparison with other robotic software platforms, and applications in commercial robots.

  • Component-based software development (CBD) is a methodology that has been embraced by the software industry to accelerate development, save costs and timelines, minimize testing requirements, and boost quality and output. Compared to the conventional software development approach, this led to the system's development being completed more quickly. By choosing components, identifying systems, and evaluating those systems, CBSE contributes significantly to the software development process. The objective of CBSE is to codify and standardize all disciplines that support CBD-related operations. Analysis of the comparison between component-based and scripting technologies reveals that, in terms of qualitative performance, component-based technologies scale more effectively. Further study and application of CBSE are directly related to the CBD approach's success. This paper explores the introductory concepts and comparative analysis related to component-based software engineering which have been around for a while, but proper adaption of CBSE are still lacking issues are also focused.

  • Structural optimization is widely accepted in industrial fields. Structural optimization pursues improved performance of the structures. Recently, structural optimization is actively utilized due to the well-developed commercial design software systems. Three popular commercial structural optimization systems are investigated and compared. They are MSC.Nastran, Genesis and OptiStruct. The performance of the systems is analyzed based on the quality of the optimum solution and the computational time. Linear static response size, shape and topology optimizations are explored and compared with some test examples. For fair comparison, the systems are run in the same environment and the optimization parameters affecting the performance are unified. The optimization results are analyzed and the performances and characteristics of each software system are discussed.

  • Search-Based Software Testing (SBST) is an effective technique for test data generation on large domain size. Although the performance of SBST seems to be affected by the structural characteristics of Software Under Test (SUT), studies for the comparison of SBST techniques considering structural characteristics are rare. In addition to the comparison study for SBST, we analyzed the best algorithm with different structural characteristics of SUT. For the generalization of experimental results, we automatically generated 19,800 SUTs by combining four metrics, which are expected to affect the performance of SBST. According to the experiment results, Genetic algorithm showed the best performance for SUTs with high complexity and test data evaluation with count ${\leq}20,000$. On the other hand, the genetic simulated annealing and the simulated annealing showed relatively better performance for SUTs with high complexity and test data evaluation with count ${\geq}50,000$. Genetic simulated annealing, simulated annealing and hill climbing showed better performance for SUTs with low complexity.

  • The similarity of the software is extracted by the verification of comparing with the source code. The source code is the intellectual copyright of the developer written in the programming language. And the source code written in text format contains the contents of the developer's expertise and ideas. The verification for judging the illegal use of software copyright is performed by comparing the structure and contents of files with the source code of the original and the illegal copy. However, there is hard to do the one-to-one comparison in practice. Cause the suspected source code do not submitted Intentionally or unconsciously. It is now increasing practically. In this case, the comparative evaluation with execution code should be performed, and indirect methods such as reverse assembling method, reverse engineering technique, and sequence analysis of function execution are applied. In this paper, we analyzed the effectiveness of indirect comparison results by practical evaluation . It also proposes a method to utilize to the system and executable code files as a verification results.

  • Dependable functioning of dynamic networks is essential for delivering ubiquitous services. Faults are the root causes of network outages. The comparison diagnosis model, which automates fault's identification, is one of the leading approaches to attain network dependability. Most of the existing research has focused on stationary networks. Nonetheless, the time-free comparison model imposes no time constraints on the system under considerations, and it suits most of the diagnosis requirements of dynamic networks. This paper presents a novel protocol that diagnoses faulty nodes in diagnosable dynamic networks. The proposed protocol comprises two stages, a testing stage, which uses the time-free comparison model to diagnose faulty neighbour nodes, and a disseminating stage, which leverages a Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC) technique to disseminate the partial view of nodes. We analysed and evaluated the performance of the proposed protocol under various scenarios, considering two metrics: communication overhead and diagnosis time. The simulation results revealed that the proposed protocol diagnoses different types of faults in dynamic networks. Compared with most related protocols, our proposed protocol has very low communication overhead and diagnosis time. These results demonstrated that the proposed protocol is energy-efficient, scalable, and robust.

  • As the importance of software education is emphasized, various educations for improve the computational thinking of elementary school students are being provided. However, there are many limitations that apply to the school at preceding studies. because they were invented for specific environment or students. Therefore, in this study, software education was conducted by constructing teaching-learning activities in consideration of the characteristics of students such as teaching aids and level of computational thinking ability, which can influence students based on the contents of textbooks. Through the comparison about computational thinking improvements, this study tried to suggest the direction of effective software education method. As a result, there are differences in computational thinking improvements according to the student's level and used teaching aids. Specifically, visual programming and unplugged type teaching-learning activities were more effective in teaching aids, and according to the level of students, students with low level of computing thinking in pre-inspection showed relatively high improvement. This tendency suggests that it is necessary to consider various learning factors in designing teaching-learning activities in elementary software education.

  • The software industry is so important to the 21C information society Not only the digital content control but the technology of software source code for the intellectual property is so much mean to international competition. On occurring disputation property of software source code, we have to prove the fact, there is a problem to discriminate the original software source code. In this paper, we make a study of the digital licence prototype for discriminate the original source code. Reserved words of software source code by parsing express to XML file that have hierarchical structure. Then, we can express node pattern and architecture pattern of software source code by tree structure form instead of complex software source code. And we make a simulation of discrimination possibility of digital license and propose CRYPTEX model.

  • The purpose of this paper is to reorganize cost adjustment factors of software development projects in estimating software development cost, and derive adjustment coefficients of application types and language types by analytical hierarchy process. We constructed a decision-making hierarchy of various criteria which determine the complexity of application types and language types, and conducted a survey on the pairwise comparison among alternatives. Finally, the cost adjustment coefficients of application types and language types were derived by analytic hierarchy process. This paper is the first study in which the analytic hierarchy process was applied to the field of estimating cost adjustment factors of software development projects.
