Factors Effected on Program Needs of the Elderly People with Mental Illness -Focused on the Nursing Home in Busan- (노인정신장애인의 프로그램 욕구에 미치는 영향 요인 -부산지역 정신요양원을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study supplies the basic data to plan the optimum mental health service that is reflected needs of the elderly people with mental illness by checking how their demographic-sociological distinctive feature and function level have an effect on their needs of mental health service by being absent situation of a study of the elderly people with mental illness. As results of analysis, the residental type, the disease period, and the decision person of admission-discharge control of demographic-sociological distinctive feature is much effect on needs of programs and also effect commonly on the needs of the health promotion program and the discharge support program. Generally, the function level of the elderly people with mental illness is favorable and the order of function level is the group activity program, the counseling program, and the resource network program.

An Influence of Record Manager's Job Stress on Depression: The Mediating Effect of State Anxiety (기록물관리 전문요원의 직무스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향: 상태불안의 매개효과)

  • This study examined differences in job stresses, depression and state anxiety levels relating to sociological characteristics of records managers and studying whether the mediating effect of state anxiety levels significantly occurs on the depression followed by their job stresses. So we distributed questionnaires of 9 factors including sociological characteristics to record managers, asking them job stresses, depression, and state anxiety levels, and collected 98 questionnaires finally. We analyzed the effect of mediation on the surveyed data using Regression Analysis. As a result, it was found that there is a full mediating effect of state anxiety level between job stress and depression, and that, therefore, state anxiety levels of the record managers must be managed to lower their depression levels.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the wearing dentures status of the elderly and understand the relationship between demographic sociological properties, oral health care habits, lifestyle, and whether they wears dentures or not. Methods: In a surveying of 349 elderly who lives in Daegu and Kyung-pook, following results are obtained. Results: Wearing dentures rates of the aged are 58.5%. The more the aged is female(p=0.025), elderly(p=0.000), a low education level(p=0.000), no job(p=0.006), and a solitary person(p=0.016) the higher rate they wears dentures. The more the aged brushes their teeth after each meal(p=0.029) and uses the oral health devices(p=0.000) the lower rate they wears dentures. The more the aged have dinner alone(p=0.009), do not kept up with the exercises (p=0.000), and would like to dine off a soft food(p=0.000) the higher rate they wears dentures. Conclusion: This study showed that an old people's condition of oral health care who live in Daegu Kyungpook is very serious. Therefor not only an elderly but other aged people is need of constant and organized education for taking their oral health care habits and changing their lifestyle. Because wearing dentures rates of the aged by demographic sociological properties, oral health care habits, and lifestyle is lower.

The Influences of a Team System's Introduction to Hospital Organization, Regarding Job Satisfaction and Organization Commitment (병원조직에 팀제 도입이 팀직무만족과 팀조직 몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The introduction of a team system to any organization is usually to improve that organizations dynamics, by increasing the proper adaptation to rapidly changing environments, by reducing approval procedures, and by promoting power authorization. In this regard, this study was carried out in an attempt to determine (1) whether or not the introduction of a team system can be as effective in hospital organizations as it has been in business organizations, and (2) what behavior factors influence such effectiveness. For the current study, questionnaires were distributed to the employees of a university hospital in Pusan. Four hundred eighty three of them(94.7%) were retrieved and analyzed through statistical processes. The three types of variables that were found to influence team effectiveness were: (1) independent variables of team organization characteristics, such as communication, organizational atmosphere, leadership and team knowledge, (2) intervening variables of team organization characteristics. such as job autonomy, technological variety, task subjectivity, task feedback and task importance, and(3) the dependent variables of team level effectiveness, such as job satisfaction and commitment to team organization. The gathered data were processed by using the 6.12 version of the statistical program SAS(Statistical Analysis System), and the reliance coefficient of those measured variables was then evaluated as an average of 0.78. The influence of team level effectiveness was analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. These differences in effectiveness were then analyzed on the basis of related mean values, while the differences among demo-sociological characteristics were analyzed by using the dispersion analysis(ANOVA) and the t-test. The results of the study can be summarized by the following. First, regarding the relationship between team organization characteristics and team level effectiveness, all of the factors including communication, organizational atmosphere, leadership and team knowledge were found to have a significant influence on effectiveness. Second, the factors of team job characteristics, such as technological variety, task importance and job autonomy, had significant effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among the teams members. Team level effectiveness was generally high, while team job satisfaction was higher the teams organizational commitment. Third, regarding the demo-sociological characteristics, team level effectiveness was found to be higher among those who were older, who had more job experience, and who had a higher position. Comparing the differences among job types, the effectiveness was relatively higher in the fields of nursing and administration/management then in other fields. Further study should be done towards the setting of variables for characteristics of hospital organization, developing suitable methods of measurement, and researching individual level effectiveness.

  • Along with recent changes in the nature of disease, social and environmental conditions and medical care practices, we are faced with a new set of problems for the field of public health. It represents a corresponding increase in importance of the chronic and degenerative diseases. Therefore, it is realized that socio-cultural factors are much more important for these diseases in treatment and prevention. These trends require a real challenge to traditional forms of public health activities in Korea. This paper emphasizes the role of health education in dealing with all aspects of newly appeared health problems on the present stage. It also discusses a brief summary of some of the major trends in the field of health and medical care that have particular behavioral and sociological relevance.

A Study on the Development of Scottish Highland Dress (Scottish Highland Dress 의 변천에 관한 연구)

  • The origin and developing process of Highland Dress as a Scottish national dress has been discussed in this study. Parameters affecting transformation process of Highland Dress from regional to national dress over the modernization period during 19 C was analyzed and compared by sociological aspect. Anthony Giddenss social change was applied and divided into three main factors such as political , economic and cultural analysis. The basic requirement of the theory of social change is visual recognization of any cultural changes. Highland Dress as a Scottish national dress has established during modernization in Europe within short period(18C -early 20C) and the Highland tartan as a military dress was transformed to be a civilian dress during 19-20 C. It shows social changes affecting on costume pattern and eventually costume in particular time could be an indicator of social changed. Throughout the study of the functional role of costume in Scotland is able to clarify the understanding of acculturation phenomenon through cultural, political and economic changes.

  • The purpose of the article is to analyze students' self-assessment of the level of soft skills development and the prospects for its improvement in a pandemic. For an adequate and objective study of the stated issues, comparative analysis was most often used. For this purpose, theoretical studies of national and foreign experts were analyzed, which included specific sociological surveys. Prospects for further work are assumed in a detailed study of the factors, conditions and mechanisms for the formation and development of soft skills in students of natural, engineering and technological, medical, social and humanitarian specialties.

  • The theoretical analysis and synthesis of prospects for the development of distance learning in Ukraine, the main topical problems of distance education in Ukraine are considered, the main factors that hinder the introduction of distance learning are analyzed, to pay attention to the need to increase the level of computer literacy among Ukrainian educators and the formation of modern methodology of distance learning, in particular, a single, systematic, national approach of organization, coordination and control in this area.   • This study is to grasp selection factors and habits of information searching of customers of ophthalmic service and to verify the differences in them and to investigate how they affect in selecting medical institute by demographic sociological characters, selection factors by classification and habits of information searching, how many times they used and the type of medical treatment. The result of analysis of importance of selection factors of medical institute, it showed that doctors' career were evaluated high by classification and it showed in order of university hospital, hospital, clinic in facilities and equipment and in order of university hospital, clinic, hospital in distance transportation Analysis of importance of selection factors by sex distinction, it showed that doctors' career were high for both male and female and according to the result of analysis of selection factors by an age, doctors' career variable was measured high and it showed in order of facilities, equipment, distance and convenient transportation. The result of analysis by the form of medical treatment, doctors' career were measured high in all diseases. Facilities and equipment were measured high in case of a corrective operation of eyesight and distance transportation variable showed high in simple eye diseases. According to the result of analysis of habits of searching information by utility frequency, one's own experience in the past(direct visits) was the highest over all and it showed in order of introduction of other ophthalmic department in case of people who go to the institutes many times.

An Analysis of the Impact of Suicide Prevention Policies on Elderly Suicide Rate Reduction (자살예방정책이 노인자살률 감소에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The government has been promoting suicide prevention policies, but the elderly suicide rate has still not improved. This study focused on the role of local governments in solving suicide problems and analyzed three-year data from 2015 to 2017 at local governments level to investigate the relationship between suicide prevention policies and elderly suicide rates. Multiple regression analysis and logistic regression analysis was conducted to control social capital factors, demographic factors, and medical use factors that can affect the elderly suicide rate. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that suicide prevention ordinances were enacted and suicide prevention centers were established in areas with high suicide rates. In areas with high suicide rates, the suicide rate decreases if the elapsed period is long after the establishment of the center. From the perspective of suicide rates, it was analyzed that the local welfare support system was more affected. Accordingly, it was confirmed that the suicide prevention policy should be established in connection with the reinforcement of welfare policies
