This study investigated the stress of community residents in Kwang-Ju and Chonnam areas by using the General Health questionnaire(GHQ-60) as a instrument of stress measurement. The number of subjects were 445 residents who lived in three areas(large city, middle city, and rural area) and they were individually interviewed in March, 1994. The results of study showed that the degrees of stress measured by GHQ-60 were statistically significant in the residents' area, age, sex variables: (a) the residents in middle city among three areas had the highest level of stress; (b) the residents who were more than 60 in age had the highest level of stress: (c) the female residents had more stress than male residents, (d) particularly, the residents who were more than 60 years old in the middle city had the highest level of stress. Further, the results of factor analysis showed that there were three factors of social dysfunction, depression and anxiety and psychosomatic symptom. The social dysfunction factor was statistically significant in both age and resident area variables. The depression and anxiety factor was statistically significant in the residents' area, age, sex variables. The psychosomatic symptom factor was statistically significant in both age and sex variables. The study suggested that they should give a special attention to solve the old people's stress because stress was closely related to residents' age.
The first purpose of this study was to examine a relationship between coping strategies and adaptation in mothers of handicapped children. The second purpose was to assess the relative contribution of coping strategies to maternal adaptation, controlling other variables that previously have been found to be important in determining maternal adaptation. Finally, the unique effect of coping strategies as predictors of maternal adaptation was examined. The subjects consisted of 92 mothers of handicapped children. They were asked to complete several self-report measures that were used to assess the variables of interest. The results indicated that coping was significantly related to maternal adaptation. Specifically, the use of confrontive coping, accepting responsibility, and escape-avoidance coping strategy were related to poorer maternal adaptation. On the other hand, painful problem solving and positive reappraisal strategy were related to better maternal adaptation. The step-wise regression results further indicated that coping strategies were significantly predict maternal adaptation. Specifical1y confrontive coping, accepting responsibility, and positive reappraisal coping strategy contributed significantly to the prediction of maternal adaptation compared to the other variables. Finally, the confrontive coping, accepting responsibility, positive reappraisal strategies turned out to contribute substantially to maternal adaptation even after several other variables were statistically controlled in conservative way. Implications of the findings for social work interventions was discussed.

Social commerce is a kind of internet shopping mall in which consumers purchase the products with other consumers through mutual interactions including the development of SNS(social network service). Social commerce has expanded rapidly as a mainstream online shopping mall over the past five years driving consumers to purchase more fashion products providing the cheaper prices than open market internet shopping mall. The purpose of this study is to identify the important parameters of social commerce characteristics and consumer characteristics that affect repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. A 221 survey questionnaire was distributed to men in their 20's and 30's who live in Seoul metropolitan area. The data were analyzed utilizing Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, and regression analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program. The results revealed, first, that in terms of social commerce characteristics, three variables(website reputation, interactivity, and product scarcity) influenced repurchase intention. Among them, website reputation identified as the most important factor influencing repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. Second, with regard to consumer characteristics, interest and a tendency toward impulse buying affected the repurchase intention, and interest and internet shopping experience have influenced the word-of-mouth intention. Among three variables interest in social commerce identified as the key factor affecting both repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. The results of the study provide the practical implications and suggest the business strategies to enhance social commerce in the future by identifying the key social commerce characteristics and consumer characteristics that influence male consumers' buying behaviors.

This study delved into the effects of labor union members' social media utilization for the formation of labor union social capital. Specifically, this study aimed to identify the effects of labor union-related social media use and participation on the labor union's social capital formation through quantitative and qualitative research. It set up trust, network, and participation as social capital components and as dependent variables. Network, in particular, was divided into bonding and bridging aspect. There is the correlation between labor union-related social media use and the formation of labor union social capital. As participation in the group type social media operated by a labor union becomes more active, evaluation on labor union social capital throughout trust, network, and participation is higher. Especially, the correlation between bonding network and bridging network was high. This proves that a labor union's bond enhancement does not result in the labor union's selfishness, but it can build a cooperative system with an external network.

Questionnaire, formulated by the researcher, were used to gather necessary information concerning stress in accordance with the physical, psychological, economical and social variables. Data were analysed by mean stress score, and the significances were tested by Critical Ratio. The results were as follows ; 1. No significant difference was revealed in accordance with sex, however, male patients showed higher stress scores on the economic variables. 2. No. significant difference was apparent in accordance with marital status, however, the unmarried showed a tendency of higher stress scores at all variables. 3. Significant difference was revealed between the age group of 35-49 years and that of over 50 years; the age group of 18-34, and 35-49 years showed higher stress scores. 4. No. significant difference was revealed in accordance with previous experience of hospitalization, however, the group with previous experience tends to show higher stress scores in all variables. 5. No significant difference was revealed in accordance with the types of admission, however, group admitted on emergency showed higher stress scores compared to the group admitted plained in advance at social and economic variables. 6. The purpose of this study is to analyse the factors affecting rehabilitation of physically disabled persons . Data were collected from 118 physically disabled persons who were registered at facilities for disabled persons by an interview surevey Conducted from October 17 to October 26, 1988. The three facilities for the survey were selected by stratified random sampling. The results were as follows : 1. Using factor analysis, 10 variables were-grouped into 4 factors : physical need, need for social problem-solving, need for social interaction and educational need. The proportion of variance explained by these factors was $58.3\%$. 2. Age, religion and job were significantly related to the functional life scale score, but other variables were not. 3. Family APGAR score and severity of disability were significantly rotated to the functional life scale score. 4. From the multiple regression analysis on rehabilitation of the physically disabled person, the following: three variables were statistically significant : age, severity of disability and family functioning. These results suggest that age, severity of disability and family functioning variables are important factors for rehabilitation of physically disabled persons. Since the family functioning variable can be controlled by care, rehabilitation team should monitor the variable closely to improve the efficiency of rehabilitation. Because of their implication for further study, some variables, other than those considered here, are needed for studying rehabilitation of physically disabled persons.
Relations between mother-infant interactive behaviors and parenting-related variables were analyzed in a sample of 72 infants (35 boys and 37 girls, average age=31 mo.) and their mothers in Ulsan, Korea. Parents' views on children, parenting stress, fathers' participation in parenting and social support were measured using questionnaires and mother-infant interactive behaviors were observed using the 3-bags test. Among the parenting-related variables, parents' views on children were related significantly with mothers' emotional expressions & infant's participation with mothers. Social support was correlated with mother's behaviors, including positive rewards and emotional expressions. Mother-infant interactive behaviors were closely correlated with one another: Mothers' positive behaviors such as overall reactivity and cognitive stimulation were correlated positively with infants' positive behaviors, including sustained attention and positive affect. Future studies will provide us with greater insights into the mechanisms underlying the effects of these parenting-related variables on infant behavior and development.
