  • Firefighters (who are responsible for people's safety) have one of the jobs that are expected to have problems due to aging in the workforce. An increase in the average age of firefighters can lead to serious social problems. The aim of this study is to survey firefighters in Jeollanam-do about their awareness of aging in firefighters, and to propose a plan to prepare them for aging through investigation and analysis of work problems that may occur due to an aging workforce. The survey shows that the higher the age group, the higher the awareness of aging firefighters, and the higher the total work experience and internal/external work experience, the higher the awareness of aging. As a plan to solve various problems that may arise from aging in firefighters, regular operation of physical fitness promotion programs, field work, job rotation, and managerial measures (such as a change of position to an administrative department) are prepared, and drone or robot technology is used. These solutions include the introduction of applied high-tech technologies to firefighting activities, establishment of retirement management policies, and preparation of plans to revitalize the connection to private employment. In order to maximize the applicability of the field, government institutional plans and preparations are essential.

  • This study analyzed the trend of the term 'false and exaggerated advertisement' in 5,141 newspaper articles from 1990 to 2019 using text mining methodology. First of all, we identified the most frequent keywords of false and exaggerated advertisements through frequency analysis for all newspaper articles, and understood the context between the extracted keywords. Next, to examine how false and exaggerated advertisements have changed, the frequency analysis was performed by separating articles by 10 years, and the tendency of the keyword that became an issue was identified by comparing the number of academic papers on the subject of the highest keywords of each year. Finally, we identified trends in false and exaggerated advertisements based on the detailed keywords in the topic using the topic modeling. In our results, it was confirmed that the topic that became an issue at a specific time was extracted as the frequent keywords, and the keyword trends by period changed in connection with social and environmental factors. This study is meaningful in helping consumers spend wisely by cultivating background knowledge about unfair advertising. Furthermore, it is expected that the core keyword extraction will provide the true purpose of advertising and deliver its implications to companies and related employees who commit misconduct.

  • The cooperative network structure influences the academic performance of the research institute. In particular, South Korea's Government-Funded Research Institutes(GRI) need to establish an efficient cooperative system as a leading national R&D implementer. This study applied the Small World structure, which has been discussed as an efficient network structure, and the centrality of representing the characteristics of nodes to the cooperative network of GRI in Korea. Based on the SCIE published data from 2010 to 2019, we analyze how the Small World characteristics and centrality of GRI contribute to academic performance using a network analysis and Feasible GLS regression. The GRI cooperative network has shown that the Small World network structure facilitates the academic performance. In addition, centrality indicating the degree of direct connection showed positive significance, but centrality indicating the degree of intermediary was not significant or negative. The results of this study explain that the higher the number of institutions that exchange and cooperate, the higher the academic performance, and the higher the performance of the institutions that serve as the center of cooperation. In addition, it was established that the stronger the cooperative network of GRIs have the characteristics of Small World, the more effective it is to create research results. This study applies centrality and Small World previously discussed as an efficient network structure to the GRI cooperation network and provide implications for establishing policies and strategies related to R&D cooperation among GRIs.

  • This study examined the social capital and geographical gaps of local television stations using web data gathered through website crawling. URLs for 16 local MBC websites were collected. MBC is an abbreviation for Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of South Korea's largest television and radio broadcasters. Munhwa is a Sino-Korean term that means "culture." It initially determined which institutions local broadcasting stations were linked to using a Web Impact Report. To investigate the specific connection type, URL information was classified using the n-tuple helix model, followed by 2-mode network analysis. The n-tuple helix model is an analysis method that extends the standard university-business-government triple-helix model by including a new network innovation originator. As a result, local broadcasting stations relied heavily on activities like as festivals, performances, and exhibitions to engage the local community. Local stations in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam area were identified as having the most diverse connections to the local population among other regions.

  • As the AI speaker business has risen significantly in recent years, the potential for numerous uses of AI speakers has gotten a lot of attention. Consumers have created an environment in which they can express and share their experiences with products through various channels, resulting in a large number of reviews that leave consumers with a variety of candid opinions about their experiences, which can be said to be very useful in analyzing consumers' thoughts. Using this review data, this study aimed to examine the factors driving the continued use of AI speakers. Above all, it was determined whether the seven characteristics associated with the intention to adopt AI identified in prior studies appear in consumer reviews. Based on customer review data on Amazon.com, text mining and social network analysis were utilized to examine Amazon eco-products. CONCOR analysis was used to classify words with similar connectivity locations, and Connection centrality analysis was used to classify the factors influencing the continuous use of AI speakers, focusing on the connectivity between words derived by classifying review data into positive and negative reviews. Consumers regarded personality and closeness as the most essential characteristics impacting the continued usage of AI speakers as a result of the favorable review survey. These two parameters had a strong correlation with other variables, and connectedness, in addition to the components established from prior studies, was a significant factor. Furthermore, additional negative review research revealed that recognition failures and compatibility are important problems that deter consumers from utilizing AI speakers. This study will give specific solutions for consumers to continue to utilize Amazon eco products based on the findings of the research.

  • Along with a rapid increase in the number of 1-person households where the concept of 1-person consumption and 1-person economy is emphasized, the proportion of 1-person household in Korea occupies a 25.3% at present, and the number is expected to grow continuously. And this rapid increase will bring about a host of problems such as housing shortage in the metropolitan area, egoism, loneliness felt by individuals, and other social problems such as crime. As an alternate movement to this phenomenon, concern on and interest in community, community culture, and sharing of space are on the rise, together with concern on and preference for sharehouse culture. In news media as well, articles on life shared with members of a sharehouse often appear. This sharehouse, which is widely spread and well received in Japan, not only reduces economic burden but also creates their own community and promotes their own culture. In this sense, it is a new way of life that represents benefits of sharing, well beyond just economic interests. Accordingly, In this research, an attempt was made tp examine the circumstances in the use of space based on existing studies on sharehouse characteristics in order to shed new lights on the meaning that non-characteristic space concept of the traditional residential space has as the concept of sharehouse space by considering it in connection with the non-characteristic space concept of the Korean traditional residential space where diverse circumstances occur centered on communal life and which were accepted by all naturally.

This paper compares the income of the middle class in the United States on the impact of globalization and anti-globalization on cultural spread and innovative growth. Globalization has created an environment in which various elements of K-culture can interact and spread. Through the Internet, social media, and international travel, globalization has had a positive impact on Korea's innovative growth. In areas such as economic activity, technological innovation, and creative industries, globalization has facilitated new tech and approaches, Through this, it changed the existing economic model and contributed to exports K-culture with a new middle class model. However, globalization in the cultural industry can result in the loss of regional characteristics & individuality, which can lead to the middle class cultural unification and alienation(chasm). As a result of the empirical analysis of K-exports for the middle income in the United States, cultural diffusion and innovation must be developed even in anti-globalization. With these industrial changes the soft power value of the Korean Wave proves that it can create value for use for the middle class of major exporting countries.

  • Recently, in the face of successive and unexpected global economic risks, ESG(Environmental, Social, and Governance) management has risen as an essential survival strategy for businesses. Particularly, the supply chain disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic have added to the uncertainty of risks, heightening the importance of ESG management in the distribution industry. In this context, the role of blockchain technology in strengthening and managing the connection between the distribution industry and ESG management has become increasingly significant. While there have been extensive proposals for business models that integrate blockchain technology into distribution, few studies have specifically focused on the feasibility and effectiveness of applying blockchain to ESG management in this field. Therefore, this study analyzed the relationship between blockchain and ESG management in the distribution industry by employing association analysis, a text mining technique, on Korean academic research. Through this, the study confirmed the possibility of implementing blockchain in the distribution industry's ESG management and presented keywords to guide future research directions. The findings obtained from this study are expected to be utilized as foundational research for future studies in constructing blockchain-based business models for ESG management in the distribution industry.
