  • Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19, self-service technology is widely used in Korea, and demand for disposable cups is increasing significantly. Waste and recycling of disposable cups have become a social concern for Koreans and Korea implemented the "Disposable Cup Deposit Systems" again in December 2022. Whether the emergence of this system can change the way people behave in environmental protection is a question to be examined in this study. Companies participating in the disposable cup deposit system are hoping that customers will actively recover cups through self-service in the process of collecting disposable cups. The government, along with businesses, transfers recovery work to customers through self-service technologies and schemes. Due to the increase in Shadow Work and the strengthening of consumer environmental protection consciousness, this paper focuses on how unmanned service types such as self-service technology can affect people's environmental protection behavior. An empirical analysis with 477 samples examined how the characteristics of shadow work, perceived efficacy, environmental awareness, and ecological guilt affect user's environmental protection behavior. Perceived efficacy that acts as a mediator and ecological guilt that plays as a moderator are investigated. Although there have been many studies on the effects of shadow work on customer behavioral intentions before, it has been very rare to study the effects of shadow work perceived by people on environmental behavioral intentions from an environmental protection perspective. This study shows that the higher the perceived efficacy of consumers, the more people prefer self-service technology and the stronger the environmental protection behavior. Also, consumers' ecological guilt significantly moderates the relationship between environmental consciousness and eco-friendly behavior. It is expected that companies and governments will be able to understand the impact of shadow work on consumers' environmental protection behavior and further promote environmental protection by appropriate policies and marketing strategies.

  • Experiential social entrepreneurship education offers participants opportunities for active engagement in social entrepreneurial activities. Highlighting the significance of psychosocial experiences within the program, this study examines work meaningfulness discovered in this process as the antecedent to forming social entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, drawing on social cognitive career theory that emphasizes the role of agency in career decisions, we propose social entrepreneurial self-efficacy as the underlying mechanism and social class as the moderating factor in the relationship between work meaningfulness and social entrepreneurial intention formation. The propositions were tested with a two-wave survey dataset collected among 145 university students taking part in an experiential social entrepreneurship program in South Korea. Our results indicate that work meaningfulness positively affects social entrepreneurial self-efficacy, which subsequently promotes social entrepreneurial intention. Moreover, when participants' social class, measured by either household income or perceived rank, is lower, the positive effect of work meaningfulness on social entrepreneurial self-efficacy as well as intention is amplified. Theoretically, these findings shed light on the crucial role of work meaningfulness in strengthening potential entrepreneurs' agency in the domain of social entrepreneurship, particularly for those from lower classes. Practically, we provide guidelines for designing an inclusive experiential social entrepreneurship program that allows participants to find meaningfulness by realizing their strengths and justifying their prosocial contribution.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the part-time work experience of nursing students and its effects on their interpersonal communication competence, self-efficacy and social skills. The study subjects were 362 nursing students in areas S, B, G and G. The relationship between the nursing students' part time work. experience and their general characteristics was analyzed by the Chi-square (${\chi}^2$) test and Fisher's exact test. The interpersonal communication competence originating from the general characteristics, self-efficacy, and difference in the social skills standard among groups were analyzed by the t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Among the 326 participants, 91.7% had part-time experience and 8.3% had no part-time experience. There was a significant relation between the part-time experience and economic level. Those having a low economic level were more likely to have part time work experience. The interpersonal communication and social skills of the students who had part time work experience when they were middle school students were lower than those who had such experience after high school. Further research is needed to identify precisely the advantages afforded by the part-time work experience of the nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between children's dietary self-efficacy, general characteristics and mother's parenting self-efficacy among elementary school students. Mother's parenting self-efficacy was significantly higher as parents' educational levels increased (p<0.001), as family monthly income level increased (p<0.001), and when father's job was professional or managing work (p<0.001). Children's dietary self-efficacy was meaningfully higher when parents' educational levels were higher (p<0.01), and family income level was higher (p<0.01). Mother's parenting self-efficacy showed a correlation with children's dietary self-efficacy (p<0.001). All factors comprising parenting self-efficacy, such as 'general parenting self-efficacy' (p<0.001), 'healthy parenting self-efficacy' (p<0.001), 'communication parenting self-efficacy' (p<0.001), 'educational parenting self-efficacy' (p<0.001), and 'control parenting self-efficacy' (p<0.001) showed correlation with children's dietary self-efficacy. It is suggested that in order to improve children's dietary self-efficacy and mothers' parenting self-efficacy, families, schools, and communities must put forth a concerted effort. By complementing existing nutritional programs focusing on nutritional knowledge, one can develop a education program and social support to enhance children's dietary self-efficacy and mothers' parenting self-efficacy.
