근로자의 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 사회적 지지도 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Social Support at Work Affecting Work Stress)

  • Psychological stress is a growing issue in work stress research because work stressors are closely related to depression; and depression, in turn, decreases organizational effectiveness. Considering such causal relationships of work stress, a comprehensive source to control work stress is needed for worksite mental well-being. This study was conducted to identify how social support at work controlled work stress and which characteristics of social support were effective on work stress reduction. The study participants were 240 workers employed in a public hospital in Georgia, U.S.A self-administered survey was given to employees with their pay slips, and followed by a hospital wide voice reminder for 7 days. Surveys were conducted over a 20-day period. The questionnaires asked about job demands, job control, social support at work, depression, job performance, absenteeism, and demographics. The social support construct was structured on the source of support at work and the kinds of support were provided. Statistical analyses were conducted in the structural equation modeling approach. Social support at work was directly related to high job control, low depression, and high job performance. High score of social support at work were significantly associated with high job control, low depressive symptoms, and high job performance. By source of support, only organizational support was positively related to high job control. Organizational support was more effective than supervisor and coworker support. Any stressors and their outcomes were not differenciated by the kinds of support. This result indicated that job control was influenced more by the source of support than the kinds of support provided at work; and the most efficient source of support was the organization. Organizational support was a strong factor in improving workers" perceived controllability of their jobs from a work stress reduction perspective.tive.

초임 보육교사의 교직선택동기와 직업적응의 관계에서 사회적 지원 인식의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effects of Social Support on the Relationship between Motivation for Choosing a Teaching Profession and Work Adjustment of Newly-Appointed Childcare Teachers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine whether motivation for choosing a teaching profession and the perception of social support of newly-appointed childcare teachers would predict work adjustment, and to understand the mediating role of the perception of social support. Methods: The data was analyzed by using correlation, regression, and the verification of mediating effects. Results: First, there were significant correlations of active motivation and material motivation when choosing a teaching profession, perception of social support, and work adjustment. Second, active motivation and material motivation in relation to choosing a teaching profession, and the perception of social support, were the variables that could predict the work adjustment of newly-appointed teachers. Third, the social support perceived by newly-appointed teachers had partial-mediating effects on the relationship between active motivation in relation to choosing a teaching profession and work adjustment, as well as on the complete-mediating effects on the relationship between material motivation and work adjustment. Implications: The training institute should strengthen education that could foster active motivation of pre-service teachers, and daycare centers should establish a cooperative workplace culture for the psychological adjustment of newly-appointed teachers.

성남시 여성의 사회교육 요구 분석 (An Analysis of the Demand for Social Education of Women of Songnam City)

  • This study aims to analyse the demand of people living in Songnam city for social education. The results of this study were intended to serve as basic material for the social education institution to work out policies for its development. Data, which reached a total of 435, were collected from parents of students, bank clerks, factory workers, and distribution workers, who were living in Choongwon, Sujeong, or Boondang ward of songnam City. The findings of the study were as follows. 1. About 85.7% of the respondents were applying for a social education program : However, given that 63.2% of the positive respondents presented conditional answers, adequate programs to meet their demand should be developed for turning it into effective demand. 2. Specialized vocational training Programs. family life Programs, health and hygienic education program, foreign language learning programs and hobby and leisure programs turned out to be favored. 3. Respondents showed a preference for active participation in the process of education including experiment and field work over remaining passive listeners to a lecture. As to the period of education, 1 to 2 months were most favored; two classes of about 2 hours per week, met on weekdays, were strongly recommended.

원조전문직의 문화적 역량 선행요인에 관한 연구 - 사회복지사, 교사, 간호사, 사회복지공무원을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Antecedent Factors Affecting Helping Professions' Cultural Competence - Focusing on Social Workers, Teachers, Nurses, and Social Work Civil Servants -)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지사, 교사, 간호사, 사회복지공무원의 문화적 역량 현황과 선행요인을 파악하기 위해 진행되었다. 연구결과 교사의 문화적 역량이 가장 높았으며 사회복지사, 공무원, 간호사 순이었다. 문화적 역량 선행요인으로는 연령, 교육수준, 외국어구사여부, 다문화업무시간, 종사기간, 교육훈련시간, 조직의 지원이 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, 각 직군 간에 유의미한 선행요인에도 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 문화적 역량을 제고하기 위한 정책적 방향과 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

사회복지과 학생의 현장실습을 통한 지역사회복지의 주체적 참여방안 연구 (A study on the subjective participation plan in community welfare by the medium of the field practicum for social work student in undergraduate courses)

  • In social welfare arena field practicum has been an essential instrument and method for social work students to get socialized to the social work professional. However, to whom involve in the actual field practicum-universities(or colleges), institutes - have some difficulties. On the base of community welfare is a clinical approach in this times. To strengthen community welfare policy, the beginning of community welfare committee is such a good opportunity to tackle the problems of the field practicum. This study suggest that the problem of the field training are 1) a guidance of an individual social work institute, 2) the lack of social work institute, 3) the absence of the trainee's sense of values, 4) the bad conditions of the field practicum for social work students in undergraduate courses at the university(or college), and 5) the lack of professionalism for supervisors. This study makes the following social work suggestions to vitalize field practicum in community welfare. It is more likely important to 1) make the law of the field practicum for undergraduate social work courses, 2) make the coordinated programs of the field practicum for undergraduate social work course in community welfare, 3) enlarge the opportunity that a field specialist take further education, 4) support and carry of supervisor reeducation, 5) make the program development of trainee's personal experiences in social work values, and 6) social work professors make a practice in the social work field.

한국 사회복지실천 현장 내 기본 실천기술의 실증적 확인 및 분류 (Basic Social Work Practice Skills: Its Empirical Identification and Classification in Korean Practice Fields)

  • 본 연구는 한국의 교육현장과 실천현장을 연결하기 위한 목적의 일환으로 한국의 사회복지실천 현장에서 우리의 사회복지사들이 실제 수행하고 있는 실천활동을 분석해 보기 위한 탐색적 연구이다. 이를 위해, 연구자는 현재 한국의 다양한 사회복지 현장에서 활동하고 있는 사회복지사들(669명의 조사 대상자 중 361명이 응답)이 가장 많이 활용하고 있는 실천기술이 무엇인가를 한국의 실천현장에 뿌리를 두고 경험적으로 조사했다. 활용도가 높은 기술 132개의 목록을 제시했으며 그 기술들 안에 존재하는 주요 기술 축 7개를 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 도출했다. 다음으로 이들 각 기술 축 안에 존재하는 하위 기술군들이 요인분석을 통해 도출되었으며, 이들 하위 기술군을 대표하는 핵심기술지표 42개가 제시되었다. 마지막으로 다양한 실천현장별로 각기 다른 실천기술 축을 확인해 분류하였다. 결과의 함의와 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 제시되었다.

미취학 자녀를 둔 취업모의 사회적 안녕감에 관한 연구 (Study of the Social Wellbeing of Working Mothers of Preschool Children)

  • This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.

사회복지전공학생들의 조사연구에 관한 태도 연구 (Social Work Students and Their Attitude toward Research)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사회복지를 전공하고 있는 대학생 및 대학원생을 대상으로 이들의 조사연구에 관한 태도를 파악하고, 이러한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 무엇인지를 파악하기 위해 이루어졌다. 표본은 조사가 가능한 수도권 지역 대학의 학생들을 중심으로 추출되었으며, 최종 321명의 자료에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 사회복지 전공학생들의 조사연구에 대한 태도는 중요성과 유용성에서 모두 높은 수준으로 나타났지만, 선행연구에 비해 낮았다. 학부생과 대학원생간의 태도 조사연구태도 차이는 유용성에 대한 태도에서만 발견되었다. 조사연구수업에 대한 견해와 사회복지실무본질에 대한 견해가 조사연구태도인 중요성과 유용성 모두에 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 가지고 우리나라 사회복지교육과 조사연구에 대한 함의를 찾아보았다.
