  • The purpose of this study is to develop a walking assistance system with mobility support and life support functions so that the elderly with reduced physical ability and patients who are uncomfortable when moving can move comfortably indoors and outdoors, and help social life. An obstacle recognition sensor module that can be applied indoors and outdoors is installed on a lightweight walking aid. An obstacle recognition sensor module that can be applied indoors and outdoors is installed on a lightweight walking aid. It is a system structure of an integrated actuator and brake system that can avoid obstacles in consideration of the safety of the elderly and is easy to install on the device. In this paper, the design of a lightweight walking aid was designed to increase the convenience of the socially disadvantaged and the elderly with reduced exercise ability. In addition, in order to overcome the disadvantage of being inconvenient to use indoors due to the noise and vibration of the motor during operation, an In-Wheel type motor is applied to develop and apply a low noise, low vibration and high efficiency drive system.

영성 증진 중재가 암환자의 영성, 사회적 지지 및 투병정신에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Spirituality Promoting Intervention on Spirituality, Social Support and Fighting Spirit among the Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of spirituality promoting intervention for the stomach and colon cancer patients. Method: A quasi- experimental design was used. Data collection was carried out from April 2004 to June, 2004 at a cancer center in Korea. The intervention included pray, meditation, group education and discussion for coping with cancer. The experimental group were received a 1-hour intervention per week for 6 weeks, while the control group received usual care. Data collection was done at pre and post intervention. The degree of spirituality was measured by the Korean version of WHOQOL-SRPB pilot test(WHO Quality of Life-Spirituality, Religiousness and Personal Beliefs pilot test) Module, and social support was measured using scores on a PRQ 85(Personal Resources Questionnaire). Fighting spirit was measured by the scores of MAC(Mental Adjustment to Cancer) scale. Results: The experimental group showed significant increase in the scores of social support and fighting spirit compared to those in the control group after the intervention. There were no significant changes in terms of the spirituality score compared to the baseline score in the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: This intervention appeared to be effective in increasing social support and fighting spirit, which considered to be very helpful in cancer adjustment.

Fundamental Research for Video-Integrated Collision Prediction and Fall Detection System to Support Navigation Safety of Vessels

  • Marine accidents caused by ships have brought about economic and social losses as well as human casualties. Most of these accidents are caused by small and medium-sized ships and are due to their poor conditions and insufficient equipment compared with larger vessels. Measures are quickly needed to improve the conditions. This paper discusses a video-integrated collision prediction and fall detection system to support the safe navigation of small- and medium-sized ships. The system predicts the collision of ships and detects falls by crew members using the CCTV, displays the analyzed integrated information using automatic identification system (AIS) messages, and provides alerts for the risks identified. The design consists of an object recognition algorithm, interface module, integrated display module, collision prediction and fall detection module, and an alarm management module. For the basic research, we implemented a deep learning algorithm to recognize the ship and crew from images, and an interface module to manage messages from AIS. To verify the implemented algorithm, we conducted tests using 120 images. Object recognition performance is calculated as mAP by comparing the pre-defined object with the object recognized through the algorithms. As results, the object recognition performance of the ship and the crew were approximately 50.44 mAP and 46.76 mAP each. The interface module showed that messages from the installed AIS were accurately converted according to the international standard. Therefore, we implemented an object recognition algorithm and interface module in the designed collision prediction and fall detection system and validated their usability with testing.

  • The purpose of this research is creating the visualization platform of the user interface to make able to be provide the demanded service while users communication with surrounding space in a smart city environment. This comes from the latest enhanced interface technology and social media, and it uses the shares information to support the proper interface environment according to a life style and spatial properties. "EzCity" which is the user interface platform suggested in this research, can control the enormous amount of public data for the smart city. The core module of user platform is made up with Public data module, Interface module, Visualization module and Service module. The role of this platform is to be provide "Geo-Intelligent Interface Service" for space users to access the data in easier and more practical interface environment. This reinforces the visualization process for data collecting, systematization, visualization and providing service. Also this will be expected to be the base to solve the problem which complexity and rapidly increasing amount of data.

빅데이터 기반 성폭력범죄자 재범방지를 위한 사회지원모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Model for Social Return for the Prevention of Recidivism of Sexual Violence Criminals Based on Big Data)

  • 연구목적:본 연구는 성폭력범죄자의 재범 증가에 따른 심각성을 인지하고, 위험성 정도에 따른 맞춤형 사회지원서비스를 제공하여 형벌보다는 회복과 복지 중심의 사회적응을 강화하여 재범의 피해를 최소화하기 위함이다. 연구방법: 기존모델과 본 연구에서 제안한 모델 시스템에 대한 효율성을 평가하고, 기존의 모델과는 어떠한 기능과 운영상에 차이가 있는 지를 비교·검토 하였다. 연구결과: 제안모델은 13세 미만 대상 성폭력범죄자에 대한 관련기관의 데이터를 수집하고, 위험성 알고리즘 등을 통해 세 가지 위험군으로 분류하여 각각의 위험군에 맞는 사회지원서비스를 제공하게 된다. 1차 사회지원서비스 매칭 데이터를 모니터링 하여 결과데이터로 저장·재분석하고 사회지원서비스를 재 매칭하게 함으로써 기존모델과 운영상의 차이점을 두었다. 결론: 본 연구의 제안모델은 재범위험 가능성이 높은 성폭력범죄자에 대한 장기적인 관점에서 재범의 피해를 최소화 방할 수 있는 사회지원모델 시스템의 기초자료를 제안하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

  • 클라우드 서비스는 비즈니스 향상을 위해 사용되며, 특히, 고객 관리에서는 고객 서비스 향상을 위한 툴로서 소셜 네트워크를 사용한다. 그러나 대부분의 클라우드 시스템은 시멘틱 구조를 지원하지 않기 때문에 소셜 네트워크 사이트의 중요한 정보는 비즈니스 정책을 위해 처리 및 사용이 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 클라우드 시스템에서 소셜 시멘틱 웹에 기반을 둔 협력 프레임 워크를 제안한다. 제안한 프레임 워크는 클라우드 소비자와 서비스 제공자를 위한 효율적인 협력시스템을 제공하기 위해, 소셜 시멘틱 웹 지원을 위한 요소들로 구성된다. 지식획득모듈은 소셜 에이전트가 수집한 데이터로부터 규칙을 추출하며, 이 규칙들은 협력 및 경영정책에 사용된다. 본 논문은 제안한 시멘틱 모델에서 소셜 네트워크 사이트 데이터의 처리 및 효율적인 협력을 위한 클라우드 서비스 제공자의 가상 그룹핑을 위해 사용될 패턴 추출에 대한 구현 결과를 보여준다.

대학생의 과민대장증후군 중증도 예측모형 (Model Predicting Irritable Bowel Syndrome Severity in University Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to build and verify a structural model that could predict the severity of irritable bowel syndrome in university students. Methods: Participants were 205 students enrolled in college with irritable bowel syndrome using the irritable bowel syndrome module of the ROME IV Adult Questionnaire. The data were collected using online questionnaires in AprilMay 2019. The data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 25.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs. Results: 1) The symptom severity that participants experienced were mild (14.6%), moderate (45.4%), and severe (40%). 2) Fit indices of the model were x2= 79.66 (df = 52, p= .009), CFI= .94, TLI= .96, RMSEA= .05, RMR= 1.59, GFI= .94, and TLI= .96.3). The severity of irritable bowel syndrome was influenced directly by anxiety and sleep, and indirectly by family history, perfectionism, social support, coping, and stress. The severity of irritable bowel syndrome was indirectly affected by the following: family history through anxiety; perfectionism through stress, anxiety, and sleep; social support through coping, stress, anxiety, and sleep; coping through stress and anxiety; and stress through anxiety and sleep. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, a nursing intervention is needed to reduce the anxiety and stress and improve the quality of sleep to improve the health of the college students and manage the symptoms of patients with irritable bowel syndrome.

An Important Strategy to Improve Adolescent Health Literacy: COVID-19 Modules in High School in Indonesia

  • Objectives: During the second coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) surge, cases increased sharply due to low awareness and compliance with measures to limit disease spread. Health literacy (HL) is an important component of public health initiatives, and schools are potential sources of health education to increase HL via the presentation of COVID-19 educational modules. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved an online questionnaire administered to students from 5 high schools in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, Indonesia, 6-7 weeks after the start of government-issued directives restricting public gatherings. We collected data on each respondent's age, gender, parental education, and socioeconomic variables. HL was determined by the Health Literacy Measure for Adolescents. We additionally measured their attitudes and behaviors related to preventing the spread of COVID-19. The students were asked if they watched the COVID-19 module at school, their feelings about vaccination, and preferred online sources of COVID-19-related information. Results: Most of the 432 respondents had viewed COVID-19 modules at school. Module exposure was associated with significantly higher total and domain-specific HL and more positive attitudes toward government-issued COVID-19 restrictions on travel and public gatherings (p<0.05). However, behaviors to prevent COVID-19 spread and vaccine acceptance were not associated with module exposure. Most students chose social media as their source of COVID-19-related information. Conclusions: Schools can provide information to increase adolescents' HL and the public's support for health initiatives to prevent or limit the spread of COVID-19.

  • Objectives: Children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) often have difficulties in social behavior. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a short-term training program for improving social skills, self-perception and attention deficits. Methods: The subjects were nine children diagnosed with ADHD with(or without) other mental disorders using the Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children(DISC-ADHD) module. Children were given eight sessions of a social skills training program. Parents of children simultaneously participated in their own training which was designed to support their children's generalization of skills. Assessments included child, parent and teacher ratings of social skills, self-perception and attention deficit at baseline and post-treatment. Results: Social skills training led to significant improvements in child-reported measures of self-esteem, in teacher reported measures of social skills, and in parent-reported measures of attention deficit. Conclusion: This study suggests that short-term social skills training programs for children with ADHD may improve their social skills, self-perception and attention deficits.

  • 최근 우리나라의 경우 빠른 고령화로 독거노인의 추세 또한 사회적, 경제적, 국가적인 다양한 문제를 야기시키고 있다. 특히 나 홀로 사는 노인계층의 건강수명관리, 독거노인의 안전, 길어진 노령시기의 쾌적하고 행복한 삶유지 등이 사회적 이슈로 부각되고 있으며, 범정부차원에서 다양한 서비스 제공을 위한 실천과제를 모색하고 있으나, 실질적으로 노인의 일상생활지원 및 서비스 정보접근 향상을 위한 구체적 대안은 매우 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 ICT 기술기반의 독거노인복지서비스 제공을 목적으로, 개방된 공개정보를 적극 활용하고 노인계층의 정보 접근을 향상 및 독거노인의 여러 상황조건에 부합하는 "ELA 서비스 모델"을 제시한다. 이는 독거노인의 기본 욕구에 따른 단계별 자가생활지원 서비스 모델로 현재 제공되거나 계획 중인 서비스의 편중 또는 과부족을 해결하고, 독거노인의 요구수준에 맞는 실질적 서비스 제공을 목표로 일상생활지원에 균형 잡힌 서비스 정책 수립에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.
