The subjects were 265 university students. The data were analyzed with frequency, Pearson's correlation and structural equation modeling by SPSS and AMOS. Instruments were Bradburn(1969)'s The Structure of Psychological Well-being, Olson and Barnes(1982)' Quality of Life, Straus(1988)'s CTSPC(Parent-Child Conflict Tactics Scales), Shin(2001)'s social maladaptation of Korean General Health, and Block and Kremen(1996)'s ego resilience. • Environmental issues are among the most critical issues nowadays. These issues are no longer confined to individual countries, and international society has been progressing in building global dialogues since the early 1970s. Within these international efforts, Germany and Japan have played essential roles in global environmental governance. However, there are major differences in nation-level environmental policies in both countries. Governance based on network structure is more efficient than that based on hierarchy for solving complex problems. The network structure is formed through horizontal cooperation among various autonomous actors, and the relationship intensity among actors is one of the key concepts in the governance. Using social network analysis as a framework to explain complicated societal structures explains how interaction among actors creates networks, and these networks further affect their interactions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structure of environmental policy governance as collaborative governance in Germany and Japan. To address this goal, this paper analyzes the relationship between the informational dimension of governance networks and its complement resource-sharing networks in both countries. The results show that the information-sharing networks have lower-level network influence on the resource-sharing networks as higher-level networks even if not all of the information factors have singular influences. The results suggest that the information-sharing networks may be one of the pieces of the puzzle for explaining this phenomenon in environmental governance in Germany and Japan.

  • This paper aims at exploring the comparative impact of social networks and firm's absorptive capacity on the process of technological alliance such as technological alliance partner selection, governance structure and performance. Firms not only need to develop internal absorptive capacity but also need to cooperate with outside innovating entities. Increasing networks with other firms and enhancing firm's internal absorptive capacity become more and more important to enter into new market, increase network effects and develop firm's core capacities. In the view of firm's motivation for technological alliance such as expanding social networks and enhancing absorptive capacity, we develop hypotheses and tested comparative impact of those two constructs using 215 survey data of Korean venture companies. The results showed that absorptive capacity showed more impacts on the technological partner selection criteria than social networks. No impact was found between social network and alliance performance. Only absorptive capacity showed positive impact on the technological alliance success. Both constructs showed no impact on the choice of governance structure. In the conclusion section, we discussed the findings and implications of this study and directions for future studies.

  • This article is exploring the possibility of establishment of a 'Smart Citizens Party'. In the society based the social computing, the individual leads the technical progress and the society which is adapted for this circumstance is changing in the direction of user-centric. Also, in the political process, we can see this social phenomenon. In other words, there's a quite possibility that decision-making structure may shift from the top-down approach to the bottom-up approach by the networked individuals or flexible voluntary group. In this context, this paper will propose the 'Smart Citizens Party' model that accept the change of political and social environment due to the advent of the social computing and cope with this change. The 'Smart Citizens Party' means the 'Party for Smartizen' of this social computing era. The 'Smart Citizens Party' is the intermediate party that link the political party to the civil society and is smart citizen's party that is operated democratically by active participation of citizens. This paper will review on structure and operational issues of political parties in Korea and study future-oriented solution and/or way to discovered problems of political parties in Korea.

  • It is important to identify and discuss what the most vial contributions of criminological theories. In the field of criminology, most significant contributions or advancement have been made on the various issues such as age, the integration of structural and procedural level theories, other theoretical integration debates. However, it is hard to find ant systematic study exploring such a contribution in criminological theories. This study, therefore, has a purpose to discuss three most significant contributions to our theoretical understanding of criminal behavior made since 1985. To accomplish the study purpose, this study choose the followed three theoretical contributions; the emergence of life course theory, the revision of social disorganization theory, and the introduction of social structure and social Learning (SSSL) model. The three theoretical works will be introduced and discussed regarding other theoretical integration trends in the body of this study. The conclusion, contribution of this current study has been discussed in the last conclusion and discussion section.

  • The main purpose of this paper is identifying the trends of researches in the realm of social welfare for disabled people. It tries to introduce an alternative analytic approach - key word network analysis - that might surpass the shortage of analysis methods of existing studies which have mainly relied on descriptive analysis. For this purpose the authors constructed a database composed of key words and informations about research methods of the data sources of this study. The sources are such researches as doctoral theses and the papers of Korean Journal of Social Welfare and Journal of Rehabilitation Research which were published during the 20 years from 1996 to 2015. Total numbers of the thesis or papers analysed at this study are 1,034. The results are shown in three ways as follows: First, the method trends of selected researches. Second the lists of interested types and population groups of the disabled persons and interested issues. Third, the intellectual structure of the research. Based on the findings of this study, some suggestions are given considering desirable directions of future researches in relation to perspectives, methods, targets and subjects of them.

  • Big data research plays a role of supplementing existing social science research methods. If the survey and experimental methods are somewhat inaccurate because they mainly rely on recall memories, big data are more accurate because they are real-time records. Social science research so far, which mainly conducts sample research for reasons such as time and cost, but big data research analyzes almost total data. However, it is not easy to repeat and reproduce social research because the social atmosphere can change and the subjects of research are not the same. While social science research has a strong triangular structure of 'theory-method-data', big data analysis shows a weak theory, which is a serious problem. Because, without the theory as a scientific explanation logic, even if the research results are obtained, they cannot be properly interpreted or fully utilized. Therefore, in order for big data research to become a methodological innovation, I proposed big thinking along with researchers' efforts to create new theories(black boxes).

  • The relationship between market structure and social welfare outcomes has received considerable critical attention in the field of competition policy research. In particular, it is necessary to study in greater depth the impact of market power on social welfare in the telecommunications industry, which is highly likely to form a monopolistic market structure. This is because, when market powers are concentrated on few upper carriers, there are negative effects on social welfare due to an excess of profits. Against this background, the present study investigates the relationship between the market structure of the mobile communications industry (the level of market power) and social welfare outcomes (the retail rate cut) through an international comparison. The results demonstrate that both the market structure and competition status of the Korean market have had significant gaps in global trends. It also points out that the monopolistic market structure (when the leading provider has more than 50% of the market share) has significantly negative effects on consumer welfare (the retail price cut). In addition, the findings of this study suggest that the direction of competition policy should focus on not only improving market concentration(HHI), but also on mitigating the monopoly of power of a dominant operator.
