  • With the rapidly expanding social network service, the distribution of information shows that social networks have evolved into platforms of communication and new information sharing among users. Previous studies are focused on the motivational factors of information sharing through social networking service. However, in this study, we focus on the factors that affect intention to share information in terms of both user's psychological motivation and functional characteristics of social network service. This study shows that factors such as enjoyfulness, image, identity and communication positively affect the attitude and intention of information sharing.

  • Nowadays, owing to the diffusion of smartphones and the growth of social networking services (SNS), the number of people who share their life with other SNS users by posting photos is increasing. The number of Instagram users has been particularly increasing since Instagram started its service in 2010. Compared to other SNS such as Facebook and Twitter, Instagram runs its service by focusing solely on photos, which is a major differentiation factor compared with other existing SNS. Previous studies, however, do not examine SNS that focus on photo sharing adequately. Therefore, we establish a hypothesis relating to the motivations behind a user's photo sharing attitude and posting intention through Instagram. Moreover, this will be achieved by employing TRA(Theory of Reasoned Action) and focusing on intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. The analysis results show that intrinsic motivation influences a user's sharing attitude and subjective norms. Apart from this, Instagram's expressivity influences a user's photo sharing attitude and posting intention.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of negative emotions on the intention to share negative experiences caused by unruly passengers on flights. 163 questionnaires were collected and an SEM model was used to measure the relationship between passengers' negative emotions and sharing intentions. We empirically analyzed the impact of unruly passenger behavior on social media sharing intention through negative emotions, airline trust, and satisfaction with service recovery. Theoretically, we established a clear causal relationship between these variables. The results of this study shed light on the importance of developing a sustainable service strategy for passengers by analyzing the impact of negative emotions and sharing intentions. Based on our findings, we recognized that airlines should respond to disruptive behavior while understanding the negative emotional feelings of surrounding passengers. Therefore, this study strongly recommends that airlines should respond appropriately to in-flight disruptive behavior and ensure that passengers' negative emotions do not damage the overall reputation and image of the airline.

  • Social networking service (SNS), which is based on the "six degree separation" theory, has gained its popularity in recent years. SNS creates a new way for maintaining relationship and sharing information over the virtual space. As a major branch, campus SNS provides a new platform for student to study as well as build and maintain inter-personal relationships. The highly realness of personal information and relatively strong group cohesion of campus SNS has turned it into an inevitable tool in students' daily life. The rapid growth of SNS in campus is creating huge academic and commercial benefits. However, little comprehensive research reveals what are determinant factors in driving students' intention to participate in campus SNS. In this paper, we conceptualize the participation of campus SNS as a social behavior and evaluate the impact made by social factors such as subjective norms and identity, as well as the impact of perceived reality and playfulness through an extended technology acceptance model.

  • Social networking service(SNS) helps users manage, share and delivery a vast information as a communication tool. When users read crisis news in SNS, they communicate the information with others by considering not only their belief (i.e., cognitive risk perception) but also emotion (i.e., affective risk perception). However, few researches have been interested in the construct of communication behaviors of crisis in SNS. This study aimed to explore the role of risk perception (cognitive and affective risk perception) between crisis responsibility and communication behavior through dual processing theory. As a result of the empirical analysis, crisis responsibility had a positive effect on cognitive risk perception and affective risk perception. In addition, cognitive risk perception had no significant effect on communication behavior whereas affective risk perception had influence on communication behavior positively. Thus, our findings may predict that the affective risk perception through crisis responsibility is more potentially important to communication behavior such as sharing information rather than cognitive risk perception. The results give insightful ideas why marketer should reduce perceived emotion caused by risk to strengthen prospective SNS users understanding of communication behavior intention.
