온라인 네트워킹 활동이 가상협업 역량 및 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Online Social Networking on Individual Virtual Competence and Task Performance in Organizations)

  • With the advent of communication technologies including electronic collaborative tools and conferencing systems provided over the Internet, virtual collaboration is becoming increasingly common in organizations. Virtual collaboration refers to an environment in which the people working together are interdependent in their tasks, share responsibility for outcomes, are geographically dispersed, and rely on mediated rather than face-to face, communication to produce an outcome. Research suggests that new sets of individual skill, knowledge, and ability (SKAs) are required to perform effectively in today's virtualized workplace, which is labeled as individual virtual competence. It is also argued that use of online social networking sites may influence not only individuals' daily lives but also their capability to manage their work-related relationships in organizations, which in turn leads to better performance. The existing research regarding (1) the relationship between virtual competence and task performance and (2) the relationship between online networking and task performance has been conducted based on different theoretical perspectives so that little is known about how online social networking and virtual competence interplay to predict individuals' task performance. To fill this gap, this study raises the following research questions: (1) What is the individual virtual competence required for better adjustment to the virtual collaboration environment? (2) How does online networking via diverse social network service sites influence individuals' task performance in organizations? (3) How do the joint effects of individual virtual competence and online networking influence task performance? To address these research questions, we first draw on the prior literature and derive four dimensions of individual virtual competence that are related with an individual's self-concept, knowledge and ability. Computer self-efficacy is defined as the extent to which an individual beliefs in his or her ability to use computer technology broadly. Remotework self-efficacy is defined as the extent to which an individual beliefs in his or her ability to work and perform joint tasks with others in virtual settings. Virtual media skill is defined as the degree of confidence of individuals to function in their work role without face-to-face interactions. Virtual social skill is an individual's skill level in using technologies to communicate in virtual settings to their full potential. It should be noted that the concept of virtual social skill is different from the self-efficacy and captures an individual's cognition-based ability to build social relationships with others in virtual settings. Next, we discuss how online networking influences both individual virtual competence and task performance based on the social network theory and the social learning theory. We argue that online networking may enhance individuals' capability in expanding their social networks with low costs. We also argue that online networking may enable individuals to learn the necessary skills regarding how they use technological functions, communicate with others, and share information and make social relations using the technical functions provided by electronic media, consequently increasing individual virtual competence. To examine the relationships among online networking, virtual competence, and task performance, we developed research models (the mediation, interaction, and additive models, respectively) by integrating the social network theory and the social learning theory. Using data from 112 employees of a virtualized company, we tested the proposed research models. The results of analysis partly support the mediation model in that online social networking positively influences individuals' computer self-efficacy, virtual social skill, and virtual media skill, which are key predictors of individuals' task performance. Furthermore, the results of the analysis partly support the interaction model in that the level of remotework self-efficacy moderates the relationship between online social networking and task performance. The results paint a picture of people adjusting to virtual collaboration that constrains and enables their task performance. This study contributes to research and practice. First, we suggest a shift of research focus to the individual level when examining virtual phenomena and theorize that online social networking can enhance individual virtual competence in some aspects. Second, we replicate and advance the prior competence literature by linking each component of virtual competence and objective task performance. The results of this study provide useful insights into how human resource responsibilities assess employees' weakness and strength when they organize virtualized groups or projects. Furthermore, it provides managers with insights into the kinds of development or training programs that they can engage in with their employees to advance their ability to undertake virtual work.

  • 소셜미디어는 기업과 소비자와의 관계와 커뮤니케이션에 있어서 일대 혁신을 가져옴으로써 기업의 마케팅 활동을 급속히 변화, 발전시키고 있다. 블로그와 SNS 는 고객과의 커뮤니케이션 효과를 극대화하기 위한 새로운 크로스미디어 플랫폼으로, 국내 기업들도 포탈검색, 블로그, SNS 등, 다양한 채널들을 활용하여 마케팅 하는 사례들이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 마케팅 활용 관점에서 포털 검색 광고와 블로그, SNS 채널들의 특징과 기대되는 성과들을 국내 기업 사례 분석을 통해 비교 분석하고, 마케팅 활동 목적과 방향에 따라 각 채널들을 어떻게 독자적, 혹은 통합적으로 활용하여 마케팅 성과를 극대화시킬 수 있을지에 관한 전략적 틀과 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 포탈검색 광고 채널은 관계지향성, 운영독창성 측면에서 우수한 것으로 평가되었으나 채널차별성, 내용적합성, 고객활용성, 네트워크성 측면, 특히 협업과 사회공헌 활동에의 참여 부문에서는 성과가 낮다고 판단되었다. 블로그 채널은 공개적절성, 질적수월성, 정보관리, 협업, 사회공헌활동 측면에서 높은 성과가 있다고 평가되었다. SNS 채널은 관계지향성, 고객지향성, 내용충실성, 고객활용성, 브랜드 이미지 강화, 비용절감, 홍보 및 광고 효과 등에서 높은 성과를 보였다. 따라서 기업은 시장 및 타겟 고객 조사활동, 홍보, 고객관계관리 강화, 신제품 테스트 및 입소문, 이벤트 진행 등, 마케팅 활동의 목적을 분명히 정의하고 각 채널의 상대적인 장점과 단점을 이해하여 각 채널을 독립적, 혹은 유기적으로 연계하여 상호 보완하면서 통합 마케팅 커뮤니케이션 전략을 수립하여야 한다.

당신은 왜 팟캐스트 서비스를 사용하는가? : UTAUT 모형 (Why Do You Use A Podcast Service? : A UTAUT Model)

  • This study investigated factors affecting the use intention of podcast service users based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition, hedonic motivation, innovativeness, and media credibility were used as independent variables in the model. The survey data from the users of the podcast portal 'podbbang' were analyzed with Smart PLS 2.0 to test the structural equation model. The results revealed that the podcast service user's effort expectancy, facilitating condition, hedonic motivation, and media credibility have a significant influence on use intention. However, the relationship between the podcast service user's performance expectancy, social influence, innovativeness, and use intention were not identified as significant.

협업 필터링을 활용한 태그 키워드 기반 개인화 북마크 검색 추천 시스템 (Personalized Bookmark Search Word Recommendation System based on Tag Keyword using Collaborative Filtering)

  • Web 2.0 has features produced the content through the user of the participation and share. The content production activities have became active since social network service appear. The social bookmark, one of social network service, is service that lets users to store useful content and share bookmarked contents between personal users. Unlike Internet search engines such as Google and Naver, the content stored on social bookmark is searched based on tag keyword information and unnecessary information can be excluded. Social bookmark can make users access to selected content. However, quick access to content that users want is difficult job because of the user of the participation and share. Our paper suggests a method recommending search word to be able to access quickly to content. A method is suggested by using Collaborative Filtering and Jaccard similarity coefficient. The performance of suggested system is verified with experiments that compare by 'Delicious' and "Feeltering' with our system.

SNS 활용이 수출마케팅 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of SNS Use on Export Marketing Performance)

  • 최근의 소셜 네트워크 서비스 (Social Network Service)는 그 사용범위와 목적이 확장하고 있다. 초기의 이메일, 리스트서브, 뉴스그룹 등 비교적 동질적 집단 간의 네트워킹 중심의 SNS로부터, 이제는 기업들에게도 게시판, 개인의 미니홈피나 블로그, Facebook, Twitter를 이용한 소셜미디어 마케팅이라는 개념이 형성되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소셜미디어 활용과 수출마케팅 성과의 관계성을 검증하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위하여 SNS활용의 유형을 살펴보고, 이들과 수출마케팅 성과와의 관계를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과, SNS활용은 수출마케팅 성과와 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 제품의 온라인 적합성과 조직의 혁신수용성은 SNS활용에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 도출된 반면, 마케팅역량과 국제화역량은 SNS활용을 통하여 수출마케팅성과로 이어지지 않는다고 파악되었다. 따라서 SNS의 활용을 증진시킬 수 있는 제품과 서비스의 개발과 함께, 조직 내부의 SNS활용에 대한 적극적 관심과 수용이 필요하다는 점을 시사하고 있다.

FakedBits- Detecting Fake Information on Social Platforms using Multi-Modal Features

  • Social media play a significant role in communicating information across the globe, connecting with loved ones, getting the news, communicating ideas, etc. However, a group of people uses social media to spread fake information, which has a bad impact on society. Therefore, minimizing fake news and its detection are the two primary challenges that need to be addressed. This paper presents a multi-modal deep learning technique to address the above challenges. The proposed modal can use and process visual and textual features. Therefore, it has the ability to detect fake information from visual and textual data. We used EfficientNetB0 and a sentence transformer, respectively, for detecting counterfeit images and for textural learning. Feature embedding is performed at individual channels, whilst fusion is done at the last classification layer. The late fusion is applied intentionally to mitigate the noisy data that are generated by multi-modalities. Extensive experiments are conducted, and performance is evaluated against state-of-the-art methods. Three real-world benchmark datasets, such as MediaEval (Twitter), Weibo, and Fakeddit, are used for experimentation. Result reveals that the proposed modal outperformed the state-of-the-art methods and achieved an accuracy of 86.48%, 82.50%, and 88.80%, respectively, for MediaEval (Twitter), Weibo, and Fakeddit datasets.

  • This study aims to investigate the technological-organizational-environmental (TOE) factor of influencing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs') social media (SM) adoption in developing countries. This study used a closed-ended questionnaire to collect data from randomly selected respondents (owners, executives, and managers) from SMEs operating in Pakistan. SMART PLS version 3.2.8 was used for path analysis of 423 responses. The research findings include the direct influence of TOE factors on SMEs SM adoption and SMEs performance. Furthers, this paper also has implications for practitioners and scholars interested in exploring the SM adoption and usage in SMEs.

스포츠 구단의 경기 성적 및 소셜미디어 운영이 팬덤의 인게이지먼트에 미치는 영향: 팬 토큰의 조절 효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Sports Team Performance and Social Media Operations on Fan Engagement: The Moderating Role of Fan Tokens)

  • 스포츠 팬덤은 스포츠 구단의 수익구조에 있어 핵심적인 요인으로, IT기술의 발달에 힘입어 전세계적으로 확산되고 있다. 이에 따라 스포츠 구단에도 글로벌 팬덤을 관리하기 위한 노력이 요구되고 있으며 소셜미디어를 포함한 디지털 마케팅 전략의 중요성 또한 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 스포츠 구단의 경기 성적 및 소셜미디어 운영이 팬들의 구단에 대한 인게이지먼트를 반영하는 온라인 정보 검색량에 대하여 미치는 영향을 실증분석을 통해 확인한다. 더불어, 이러한 영향이 스포츠 팬 토큰의 발행 여부에 따라 다를 수 있음을 검증한다. 본 연구를 위하여 2022년 7월~12월의 기간에 대하여 유럽축구연맹, 네이버 스포츠, 엑스, 네이버 데이터랩에서 각 구단별 경기 일정 및 성적, 소셜미디어 게시물의 게시량, 팬들의 온라인 정보 검색량을 수집하여 분석하였다. 데이터 분석 결과, 구단의 경기 성적인 경기 중 골 득실점과 구단의 소셜미디어 게시물의 게시량은 팬들의 온라인 정보 검색량에 유의하고 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 나아가, 구단의 스포츠 팬 토큰이 발행된 경우, 구단의 경기 성적 및 소셜미디어 운영이 팬들의 온라인 정보 검색량에 미치는 상술된 영향력이 강화되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 스포츠 구단과 팬 인게이지먼트에 대한 실증분석을 수행하고 팬 토큰의 마케팅적 측면을 탐구함으로써 스포츠 마케팅의 연구 범위를 확장하며 스포츠 구단의 마케팅 전략 수립을 위한 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

Effects of Marketing Communication Capabilities on the link between Corporate Social Responsibility on Firm Value: Observations from the Service Industry

  • An increasing number of studies have examined the effects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on corporate financial performance (CFP) in the service industry. However, the extant literature does not provide comprehensive insights into the conditions on which the CSR-CFP link relies. In this study, firms' marketing communication capability (MCC) is introduced as an important contingency variable, which determines the effects of CSR on the corporate financial performance, in the context of restaurant businesses. Multiple year data on the spending of public restaurant chains on different media are collected, and MCC is subsequently measured using the data envelope analysis. Then, a test is conducted to prove whether MCC moderates the relationship between CSR and firm financial performance. The empirical results support the hypothesis that MCC strengthens the effect of CSR on CFP. Through the findings, this research provides several interesting and important implications to the literature and managers of service firms.

Improved Decision Tree Classification (IDT) Algorithm For Social Media Data

  • In this paper we used classification algorithms on social networking. We are proposing, a new classification algorithm called the improved Decision Tree (IDT). Our model provides better classification accuracy than the existing systems for classifying the social network data. Here we examined the performance of some familiar classification algorithms regarding their accuracy with our proposed algorithm. We used Support Vector Machines, Naïve Bayes, k-Nearest Neighbors, decision tree in our research and performed analyses on social media dataset. Matlab is used for performing experiments. The result shows that the proposed algorithm achieves the best results with an accuracy of 84.66%.
