디자인교육을 위한 기초교과목으로서 라이프스타일 연구 (A Study on Lifestyle as a Basic Curriculum for Design Education)

  • 현대의 디자인은 여러 다양한 계층의 사용자를 만족시켜야만 한다. 따라서 각 계층의 라이프스타일을 연구하는 것은 디자인의 기초로서 매우 중요하다. 소비자의 요구를 파악하기 위한 논리적 출발점은 소비자분석으로부터 시작된다. 소비자분석 방법은 여러 가지가 있겠으나 그 중에서 라이프스타일 연구가 소비자를 집단으로 나누어 이해하는데 가장 많이 이용되고 있다. 디자인의 기초교육은 디자이너로서 바탕이 되는 지식과 능력을 가르치는 일이어야 한다. 라이프스타일 연구는 그 자체가 목적이 아니라 디자인하는데 요구되는 제반 이론적 지식 중 하나이다. 실기와 이론을 디자인교과로 포괄함으로써 실기를 통해 이론을 습득함과 더불어 이론 본래의 의미를 되살릴 수 있다. 이 연구의 의의는 라이프스타일에 대한 개념적 접근을 통한 학습을 디자인 기초교육 프로그램에 도입함으로써 스스로 탐구하고 연구하는 접근방식을 제시하는데 있다. 라이프스타일 연구를 위해 라이프스타일의 개념, 현대적 사회형태, 소비문화, 생활양식 용법 및 생활양식의 이론화 등의 이론적 지식을 갖추게 한다. 또한 학생들 스스로 라이프스타일을 연구할 수 있도록 팀을 구성하고 각 팀별 연구주제를 설정한 후 실제적인 방법들 -설문조사, 관찰 및 면담 등- 을 통해 각 계층의 라이프스타일을 연구한 후 소논문의 양식에 따라 보고서를 만들고 각 팀별로 프리젠테이션 하도록 한다. 학생들은 이러한 과정을 통해 라이프스타일을 이론만이 아닌 실질적으로 이해하게 되고 실무에 응용할 수 있는 능력을 갖추게 될 것이다.

  • Contemporary Architecture is showing many aspects on the ground of ecological paradigm, while, searching for a new architectural direction to make importance of environment that has been still little accounted of a subject of discussion. And 'sustainability'will become a central concept of a Contemporary architectural topic, continuously. With a demand of the time, ecological inclinations have been started to develop a collective low-rise housing project. It is going to expands several fields, but for reasons of social economic activity for human fundamental being, potentialities of basic problem solution are enough for ecologyㆍenvironment, but distinct direction and measures are still not obvious conditions. This study is for healing restoration in global environment, with architectural approach, through analyzing relation between ecological architectural space and nature, and abstracts various inter-relational aspect's specific character. the purpose of this study is another approach of intimate relation of ecological architecture and nature. Therefore, this study is significant to be on the search for a start to suggest a new point of view to ecological architectural space.

고실업 저성장 시대의 사회적 안전망 구축에 관한 연구 - 생활보호제도의 개선을 중심으로 - (A Study of the Design of Social Safety Net in Korea -with Special Emphasis on the Livelihood Aid Programme-)

  • 국제통화기금에 구제자금을 신청한 1997년 11월 이후, 우리 나라 경제는 급속도로 저성장 고실업의 경제구조로 전환되어, 1995년 제1사분기 경제성장률(GDP)은 -3.8%로 하락하였으며, 실업률은 1998년 4월 현재 6.7%로 급상승하여 실업자 수가 143만 4천명에 이르고 있다. 이러한 미증유의 대량실업사태를 맞이하여 정부에서는 종합적인 실업대책사업을 공표하고 이를 추진하고 있으나, 전반적인 사회보장제도의 틀에서 접근하지 못하고 있기 때문에 한시적이고 미봉적인 수준에 그치고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문은 현행 생활보호제도의 개선을 통하여, 우리 경제의 성격과 규모에 맞는, 즉 재정적으로 가능하고 사회적으로 납득할 수 있는 수준의 사회적 안전망을 구축하는 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 제2장에서는 현 경제위기하에서의 실업의 구조와 동향을 살펴보고, 제3장에서는 현재 정부, 연구기관, 그리고 학계에서도 본격적으로 논의되지 않은 채 정치적인 수사에만 그치고 있는 사회적 안전망의 개념정의를 시도하고 제4장에서는 80년대 중반이후 세계은행(World Bank)과 국제통화기금(International Monetary Fund)에서 제3세계권과 동구권 국가를 대상으로 실시한 사회적 안전망 지원사업의 경험을 점fl하여 소개한다. 그러고 본 논문의 본론인 제5장에서는 생활보호제도의 개선을 통한 사회적 안전망의 구축방안을 3단계로 나누어 제시한다.

Economic and Social Upgrading of Firms in Football Global Value Chains

  • Purpose: Participation of firms in Global Value Chains (GVC) has contributed significantly to the improvement of economic outcomes for firms in developing countries. However, evidence suggests that these economic outcomes are gained at the cost of labourers' poor working conditions. This research contributes to existing literature on GVCs by investigating the influence of different governance structures on economic and social upgrading of firms participating in GVCs. Furthermore, the research attempts to understand the relationship between economic and social upgrading in GVCs. Research design and methodology: Detailed qualitative primary research was carried out in the football industry of Sialkot, Pakistan. The case study approach was employed, and football firms were the unit of analysis. Semi-structured interviews with firms' representatives were conducted. Results: Findings reveal that most firms were found in captive, relational and market governance structures. Furthermore, product and process upgrading were witnessed in all firms; however, social upgrading was observed mostly in captive and relational GVCs. Moreover, social upgrading was linked to economic upgrading in captive and relational networks. Conclusions: The findings from the Sialkot football industry reflect that buyers pay higher prices and margins to their suppliers once they upgrade their products and processes.

라이브 커머스에서 관계유대가 인게이지먼트에 미치는 영향: 팬쉽의 매개 효과와 사회적 지지의 조절 효과 (The Effect of Relational Bonds on Consumers' Engagement in Live Commerce: Mediating Role of Fanship and Moderating Role of Consumers' Social Support)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of fanship between relational bonds and consumers' engagement. Also the study demonstrates the moderating effect of consumers' social support between relational bonds and fanship. Design/methodology/approach - The data were collected from Chinese consumers who have used live commerce within the last 6 months. The survey was conducted using self-reported questionnaire and a total of 276 questionnaires were used for the analysis. Regression analyses with bootstrapping were conducted to test the research models. Findings - Findings of the study showed that fanship mediated the relationship between financial bonds, social bonds and consumers' engagement. Furthermore, consumers' social support such as informational support and emotional support moderated for the relationship between relational bonds and fanship. Research implications or Originality - The findings of the study contributes to providing a theoretical framework to explain consumer behavior in a live commerce by examining the relationship between financial bonds, social support, fanship, and engagement.

메타버스 커뮤니티 구성원의 정체성 형성과 참여에 대한 연구: 가상 자산의 가치의 역할 (A Study on The Identification Formation and Engagement of The Metaverse Community: Value of Virtual Assets)

  • Purpose This study aims to identify the factors that form the social identity of metaverse community users and to investigate the processes that influence engagement behavior. Specifically, this study is to verify the structural relationship between socio-technical factors and social identity of metaverse community. Furthermore, we would figure out the role of psychological ownership and virtual assets in engagement of metaverse community members. Design/methodology/approach Hypotheses were derived through literature research and a survey was conducted for users of the metaverse community. 357 collected responses were analyzed for the structural equitation modeling(SEM) with AMOS 24.0. Findings As a result of the study, all of the proposed hypotheses were supported. As a result, it was found that technical and social perceptions of the metaverse community platform had a positive effect on social identity. Social identity affects the intention to engage in the metaverse community through psychological ownership, and its influence is reinforced by the perceived value of virtual assets.

생애구술을 통해 본 주거의 의미와 사용 II : 주거의 사용을 중심으로 (Meaning and Use of Housing through Narrative Life History in Korea II : Focused on the Use of Housing)

  • This study was designed to examine the use of housing in modern Korea, and to draw the interrelation of people and housing. In-depth interviews were conducted, and the qualitative research investigated various aspects of housing history among four individuals during the different phases of social and economic transitions. 4 narratives showed the unique characteristics of life history, and the findings indicated that the housing experiences were closely related to hometown, the relation to birth family at postmarriage, economic status, and the meaning of home. The main findings were as follows: the validity to select the interviewers was proved in that the selection was based on both housing structure type and ownership, and also the research indicated that economic status and housing structure type influenced the entire housing experience of each interviewee. The use of housing varied and the implications of housing lied in social and economic contexts. The use of housing, of which the term was contrived to alternatively described housing consumption modes, and chronology were affected by such individual factors as economic status, familiar relationships, residential location, the meaning and subjectivity of housing.

A Hadoop-based Multimedia Transcoding System for Processing Social Media in the PaaS Platform of SMCCSE

  • Previously, we described a social media cloud computing service environment (SMCCSE). This SMCCSE supports the development of social networking services (SNSs) that include audio, image, and video formats. A social media cloud computing PaaS platform, a core component in a SMCCSE, processes large amounts of social media in a parallel and distributed manner for supporting a reliable SNS. Here, we propose a Hadoop-based multimedia system for image and video transcoding processing, necessary functions of our PaaS platform. Our system consists of two modules, including an image transcoding module and a video transcoding module. We also design and implement the system by using a MapReduce framework running on a Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and the media processing libraries Xuggler and JAI. In this way, our system exponentially reduces the encoding time for transcoding large amounts of image and video files into specific formats depending on user-requested options (such as resolution, bit rate, and frame rate). In order to evaluate system performance, we measure the total image and video transcoding time for image and video data sets, respectively, under various experimental conditions. In addition, we compare the video transcoding performance of our cloud-based approach with that of the traditional frame-level parallel processing-based approach. Based on experiments performed on a 28-node cluster, the proposed Hadoop-based multimedia transcoding system delivers excellent speed and quality.

사회연결망 영향력 시각화를 위한 프레임워크 (A Framework for Visualizing Social Network Influence)

  • 본 연구는 정보 간의 관계에서 도출되는 특징을 적합하게 보여줄 수 있는 시각화를 위한 연구이다. 정보의 관계에 주목하는 이유는 관계 구조를 통해 정보의 성격과 특징을 파악할 수 있기 때문이며 이러한 정보의 관계는 사회연결망 분석을 통해서 파악할 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 사회연결망분석에서 관계의 성격을 도출하는데 중요한 지표로 다뤄지는 영향력의 시각화를 연구범위로 설정하고 첫째, 연결망 내에서 관계를 나타내는 요소와 영향력을 나타내는 지표를 분류하여 정리하였다. 둘째, 사회연결망에서 영향력을 나타내는 관계의 요소들 간의 연관을 살펴 영향력 시각화의 네트워크를 만들었다. 셋째, 사회연결망 분석과 시각화 프로세스와의 상호작용을 설명하는 영향력 시각화의 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 영향력 시각화의 네트워크와 프레임워크는 사회연결망의 영향력 요소를 이해하고, 분석하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 연결망의 시각화에 있어 합리적이고 효율적인 접근을 가능하게 함으로써 정보디자인에 있어 새로운 방법적 접근이 되리라고 기대한다.

비대면 화상회의 솔루션의 지속사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Examining the Factors that Influence the Continuance Intention of the Video Conferencing Solution)

  • Purpose This study aims to identify and empirically prove the factors and influence relationships that affect the intention to continue using the video conferencing solution. Design/methodology/approach This study designed a research model by integrating self-efficacy, facilitation condition, event-related fear, and social influencing factors based on the post-acceptance model of IT continuance that explained the relationship between disconfirmation, post-usage usefulness, satisfaction, and continuance intention. Findings As a result of empirical analysis, in this study, it was confirmed that positive disconfirmation and post-usage usefulness had a positive effect on satisfaction, and satisfaction had a positive effect on continuance intention. In addition, we confirmed that self-efficacy and social influence had a positive effect on continuance intention, but event-related fear and facilitating condition had no significant effect.
