  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 설계 방법의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 설계 방법인 플랫폼 기반 설계에서 사용할 수 있는 DSP 기반 플랫폼을 구현하였다. 구현된 DSP 기반 플랫폼을 AMBA AHB 버스를 바탕으로한 듀얼프로세서 플랫폼과 crossbar switch 구조의 버스 구조를 가지고 4개의 프로세서를 연결한 멀티프로세서 플랫폼으로 확장하여 검증함으로서 이질적인 환경에서 동작함을 나타내었다. 멀티프로세서 플랫폼에서는 DVB-T baseband 수신기를 HW/SW 분할 구현하고 성능 평가를 수행하였다. DSP 기반 플랫폼은 유연성, 확장성, 고속의 연산의 특징을 가진다.

  • 스마트폰의 보급과 더불어 개인 정보를 유출하는 악성 프로그램의 위협 또한 증가하고 있다. 악성 프로그램의 위협으로부터 사용자의 데이터를 보호하기 위해 다양한 모바일용 백신이 시중에 나와있는 상황이다. 하지만 일반 컴퓨팅환경의 경우를 보듯이 소프트웨어만으로는 모든 악성 프로그램의 위협에 대처하는 것은 상당히 어렵다. 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해서 하드웨어의 도움을 받는 선행연구들이 있었지만 스마트폰과 같은 Soc 구조에 적용하기에는 무리가 따른다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 임베디드시스템의 보안성 향상을 위한 IP를 개발/실험 할 수 있는 soc 플랫폼을 구현하도록 한다.

  • 2010년 현재 미래의 개인 컴퓨팅 환경은 가상화를 기반으로 한 클라우드 컴퓨팅과 스마트폰을 통한 모바일 컴퓨팅이 주도할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 이러한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술의 발달은 언제 어디서나 사용자 요구에 따라 주변의 편재된 컴퓨팅 기기를 통합하여 최적의 가상 컴퓨팅 환경을 구성하는 SoD 서비스를 한층 현실로 다가오게 하고 있다. 또한 최근 불기 시작한 스마트폰 붐으로 인해 스마트폰을 활용한 다양한 모바일 컴퓨팅 서비스가 활성화 될 것으로 기대된다. 본 고에서는 현재 진행중인 모바일 플랫폼 상에서의 SoD 서비스 관련 가상화 기술을 파악하고 국내외 기술 동향에 대하여 분석한다.

  • This paper implemented the conventional FAST and BRIEF algorithm as hardware on Zynq-7000 SoC Platform. Previous feature-based hardware accelerator is mostly implemented using the SIFT or SURF algorithm, but it requires excessive internal memory and hardware cost. The proposed FAST & BRIEF accelerator reduces approximately 57% of internal memory usage and 70% of hardware cost compared to the conventional SIFT or SURF accelerator, and it processes 0.17 pixel per Clock.

  • VTK is a free but professional development platform for images three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction and processing. It is powerful, open-source, and users can customize their own needs by self-development of great flexibility. To give the doctors more and detailed information by simulate dissection to the 3-D brain MRI image after reconstruction. A Visualization System (VS) is proposed to achieve 3D brain reconstruction and virtual dissection functions. Based on the free VTK visualization development platform and Visual Studio 2010 IDE development tools, through C++ language, using real people's MRI brain dataset, we realized the images 3D reconstruction and also its applications and extensions correspondingly. The display effect of the reconstructed 3D image is well and intuitive. With the related operations such as measurement, virtual dissection and so on, the good results we desired could be achieved.

  • Intelligent automobile technology and IT convergence, the development of new imaging technology media applications based on open source Android installed on tracked, wheeled smart phone application technology and the development of intelligent vehicles as a new paradigm a lot of research and development being made. Android-based intelligent automotive applications, technology, and evolved into the center of a set of various multimedia technologies move beyond the limits of the means of each of multimedia platforms, services and applications that have been developed in such a distributed environment, has been developed according to a variety of services through technology mobile terminal device technology is an absolute requirement. In this paper, SVC Codec, real-time video and graphics processing and SoC design intelligent vehicles middleware applications with monolithic system specification through Android-based design of intelligent vehicles dedicated middleware research experiments on open platforms, and provides various terminal services functions SoC based on a newly designed and standardized interface analysis techniques in this study were verified through experiments.

  • By using the Triboelectric nanogenerators, known as TENG, we can take advantages of high conversion efficiency and continuous power output even with small vibrating energy sources. Nonlinear energy extraction techniques for Triboelectric vibration energy harvesting usually requires synchronized active electronic switches in most electronic interface circuits. This study presents a nonlinear energy harvesting with high energy conversion efficiency to harvest and save energies from human active motions. Moreover, the proposed design can harvest and store energy from sway motions around different directions on a horizontal plane efficiently. Finally, we conducted a comparative analysis of a multi-mode energy storage board developed by a silicon-based piezoelectricity and a transparent TENG cell. As a result, the experiment showed power generation of about 49.2mW/count from theses multi-fully harvesting source with provision of stable energy storages.

  • The Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(DMB) system is developed to offer high quality audio-visual multimedia contents to the uses by the various portable terminals in the mobile environment. Integrated complex reception platform is required to receive multimedia broadcasting services transmitted from various transmission media. In this paper, we present the design and implementation technic for providing the both of terrestrial and satellite DMB services simultaneously using the same hardware platform. The implemented complex receiving terminal to accommodate these DMB services simultaneously need composed of it RF module. it baseband module, it complex control module and the complex de-multiplexer module. The complex control module is designed using uClinux operating system. The complex de-multiplexer, which perform the functions of the address decoder and each DMB stream de-multiplexer, is implemented. with FPGA device. The implemented platform is tested in a real environment and its performance is satisfied with required performance criteria.

  • In this paper, we implemented the HearCAM platform with Raspberry PI B+ model which is an open source platform. Raspberry PI B+ model consists of dual step-down (buck) power supply with polarity protection circuit and hot-swap protection, Broadcom SoC BCM2835 running at 700MHz, 512MB RAM solered on top of the Broadcom chip, and PI camera serial connector. In this paper, we used the Google speech recognition engine for recognizing the voice characteristics, and implemented the pattern matching with OpenCV software, and extended the functionality of speech ability with SVOX TTS(Text-to-speech) as the matching result talking to the microphone of users. And therefore we implemented the functions of the HearCAM for identifying the voice and pattern characteristics of target image scanning with PI camera with gathering the temperature sensor data under IoT environment. we implemented the speech recognition, pattern matching, and temperature sensor data logging with Wi-Fi wireless communication. And then we directly designed and made the shape of HearCAM with 3D printing technology.

  • This paper presents a System-On-a-chip for embedded image processing applications that need Gaussian Pyramid structure. The system is fully implemented into Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based on the prototyping platform. The SoC consists of embedded processor core and a hardware accelerator for Gaussian Pyramid construction. The performance of the implementation is benchmarked against software implementations on different platforms.
