  • Recently, there are growing fluctuations of productivity and price caused by severe weather conditions in the agriculture. Yield forecasting methods have been studied to solve the problems. This paper predicted yield per area, production area, and elements of weather based on the linear equation. A yield is calculated by multiplying the production area times the yield per area that is compensated using the weighted sum of the elements of weather. In experiments, proposed method shows that a forecasting precision is the more than 90%.

  • The government has set the mechanization of paddy agriculture as a national task, aiming to achieve over 70% by 2025. The main objective is to stabilize the farming costs of rural households due to the aging and feminization of rural areas, as well as the shortage of agricultural labor. In response to this, the Korea Rural Economic Institute operates a farm machinery rental business. However, there are challenges in selecting and managing rental machinery, including issues related to labor, costs, verification, and time. Additionally, there is a limit to upgrades, and overseas models are being imported and used for transplanters and rice planters, which do not conform to domestic standards and face maintenance difficulties. In order to solve the difficulties of the agricultural machine rental business, we intend to develop an application that shares domestic and foreign machines purchased and used by individuals at a low cost and use them in gun-level administrative districts.

  • The problem of odor and environmental pollution caused by livestock manure is spreading greatly as a social issue. To reduce the odor of livestock raised in livestock farms and improve the farm environment, raw materials of Abelmoschus manihot Jinhuakui were put into feed additives to measure the state of odor. It is characterized by being non-toxic and sweet, and Abelmoschus manihot Jinhuakui, which contains abundant nutrients that are beneficial to health in all parts such as roots, stems, and flowers, is a medicinal plant that cannot be discarded. In particular, it has the effect of helping bowel movements because it stimulates bowel movements. Ammonia levels were investigated through the KS X 3279 national standard-applied smart livestock IoT hub sensor pack installed at Flower Garden and Ugil Farm. The purpose of this paper is to reduce the odor that is the most problematic on farms and improve the environment, and it is planned to expand research into deodorants after feed additives. It is hoped that the research results will solve the livestock problem and help livestock farmers.

  • Satellite technology has emerged as a powerful tool in modern agriculture, offering capabilities for Earth observation, land-use pattern analysis, crop productivity assessment, and natural disaster prevention. This mini-review provides a concise overview of the applications and benefits of satellite technologies in agriculture. It discusses how satellite imagery enables the monitoring of crop health, identification of land-use patterns, evaluation of crop productivity, and mitigation of natural disasters. Farmers and policymakers can make informed decisions to optimize agricultural practices, enhance food security, and promote sustainable agriculture by leveraging satellite data. Integrating satellite technology with other advancements, such as artificial intelligence and precision farming techniques, holds promise for further revolutionizing the agricultural sector. Overall, satellite technology has immense potential for improving agricultural efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in the face of evolving environmental challenges.

  • While the main purpose of irrigation reservoirs is to supply agricultural water, the needs of environmental flow and flood control has been expanded. The agricultural reservoirs have been operated in the form of carry-over system until now. Therefore, the supply of agricultural water is difficult when the storage rate is not sufficiently secured after large volume of irrigation. In addition, there are regulation of the upper storage rate for some large reservoirs during the flood season, but lower storage rate is not regulated. Accordingly, this study aims to evaluate the capacity of agricultural water and environmental flow supply by setting the management lower storage rate of reservoir. The changes in the supply of agricultural and environmental flow was simulated according to the three different regulating lower storage rate scenarios. As a result, it was judged effective in terms of water supply managing the lower storage rate up to 30% when the initial storage rate of farming period is above annual average for the Naju reservoir considering existing water management practice. If the lower storage rate would have been controlled above 30%, the supply of agricultural water might be increased and non-effective discharge amount would be decreased compared to other scenarios during dry period of 2016-2018.

  • In the recent farming industry, there is a growing diffusion of drones, which are recognized as a crucial technology of the 4 th industrial revolution to cope with aging. Especially, filming and pest control using drones are representative fields that have different age groups for obtaining a national license of multicopter that is a ultra-light flying device, and can create profits after getting a license. However, pest control technology using drones has different spray effects depending on levels of operational proficiency, since this highly relies on an operator's operating skills. It is anticipated that if this issue is supplemented, the use of drones for pest control in the farming industry will diversify. For analysis of spraying characteristics of agricultural pest control drones, this study aims to formulate effective spraying hours and effective spraying intervals and suggest an algorithm, which facilitates an accurate calculation of pest control area depending on the kinds of pest control drones. This algorithm can be used in the field of pest control by improving scatterling issues caused by drone flight methods of drone pest controllers and building an optimum pest control manual in future.

  • We need measures that can come up with alternative about fishery living zone and enhance local acceptance for responding to the increase in the proportion of renewable energy production and construction of 12GW Offshore wind power according to Korea's Renewable Energy 3020 initiative and Korean-version New Deal. In this study, We suggest that differentiation plans of co-location model in connection with offshore wind power generation suitable for the East Sea. The East Sea is an optimal site for building of a floating offshore wind power generation(FOWPG) field. It is expected that economic effects like energy production, aquatic resource development and tourism industrialization by farming bluefin tuna which is high valued fish and suitable for offshore aquaculture on public waters in FOWPG field. And we can confirm that budget reduction, smart management by sharing operation management technology and increase in fishermen income.
