  • Recently, smart TVs have widely spread in our daily lives. However, it is difficult for users to find proper TV contents among a lot of TV and application contents because of inconvenience of input devices compared with those of smart phones or smart pads, so there are some problems with very low utilization of the smart functionalities of smart TVs. We suggest a personalized contents recommender system on smart TVs to resolve these problems and help for users to search appropriate contents easily and quickly in this research. We design and implement an intelligent system for personalized contents recommendation on the smart TVs based on multi-dimensional analysis considering user profiles and preferences, watching patterns of TV programs, and TV contents use statistics of TV users.

  • With the advance of Smart TV technologies, TV watchers can enjoy the Internet and games while watching TV programs. Besides retrieving with some keywords in the Internet, people may want to access local information such as notifications from town, messages from children's schools, shopping information from local marts, and even reminder messages for visiting from hospitals while watching TV without using web-browser. In this paper, we introduce the daily life notification service scenarios and its functional and non-functional requirements. Furthermore, we also propose a system that provides the notification services, consists of smart TV apps and server systems. We also introduce the system architecture and the component design of the system. Our work will help smart TV service developers because this paper will give them some service scenarios, requirements, and system architecture and its component design.

  • Smart TV is approaching as a new media service to integrate the broadcasting and the internet according to the technology evaluation of convergence to broadcasting, telecommunication, and computing. Therefore, This paper proposes the next generation smart TV(Smart TV 2.0) technology based on CPNT which supports those services such as the broadcasting, telecommunication, a convergence of broadcasting & communication, and computer service through multi-screen. Also, this paper describes the concept and details of the related technologies.

  • In recent years, there has been a popularity rose up on Smart TV (Smart Television) usage at home. Therefore, it is also have increase the demand on grid computing system. Smart TV has a variety of platform and usage compare to PC (Personal computer). Base on this, it is difficult to apply a traditional grid system on Smart TV. One major reason are concerning the small idle time compare to PC. To overcome this problem, this paper will propose a Javascript grid system and introducing a new scheduling policy that best suit for a smart TV. We have conduct an experiment on the proposed method. The result provides an average of 1.78 percent, which is improved compare to the traditional method which is only provides an average of 0.09 percent.

  • This paper presents the necessary elements and data flow in developing a monitoring system of energy usage for apartment houses with a Smart TV. Energy consumption data in each home are collected and analyzed in the HUB station by way of measuring instruments. And the amount of energy usage, such as electricity, gas, hot water, heating, water and other utilities are displayed through the Smart TV application. Energy consumption Database in the HUB station are processed and displayed in the browser of a Smart TV through XML, JAVASCRIPT and Flash. Smart TV users can get the energy consumption status through the energy consumption analysis display of the Smart TV application and improve the energy efficiency by comparing the usage patterns with neighboring houses. And the application display energy usage information, consumption ranking, rates to user as well. Furthermore, usage of last month or year can be compared to help to reduce the energy usage. The proposed system can provide the information about the amount of energy use to be reduced and the warning on the waste of energy.

  • A Smart TV is the multi TV which have not only function ability of general TV but also web service and application as like smartphone based on internet. In this paper, we suggest the web system for cooking recipes as smart TV application. This system have a game function by simulation and we can enjoy this cooking recipes application as a game.

  • A Smart TV device is either a television set with integrated internet capabilities or a set-top box for television that offers more advanced computing ability and connectivity than a contemporary basic television set. In recent years, there has been a popularity rose up on Smart TV (Smart Television) usage at home. This paper present the intelligent production status boards using features and functions of smart TV in shop floor. With the proposed status boards, we can reduce installation and operating costs of the existing production status boards. In addition, This article present the system that can line monitoring without equipments as CC TV.

  • TV has evolved into thin and wide shaped due to the huge sales of LCD. And it makes many houses own large TV easily. After that TV technology focuses on large and high-definition screen. Recently majority of TV market is that of smart TV which is equipped with internet and GPOS(General Purpose Operating System) so people can install several applications on TV. Yet smart TV's remote controllers are not suitable for several applications. Especially there is no way to provide people with sufficient interactivity with game contents of TV. In this paper, we proposed new methodology for interworking between smart TV and smart device to enhance interactivity of smart TV platform game.

The reason for the emergence of a variety of devices, cloud services, combined with the desire of users is high. In this paper, the mobile operating system, N-Screen, Smart TV to find out about and through the analysis of the major smart TV, the future Find out about trends in the mobile operating system.
