The purpose of this study was to measure the indoor air quality of small-scale apartments and then proposed a method to improve the indoor air quality of the small-scale apartments by comparing with the result of indoor air quality in the Clean-Healthy House. In case of formaldehyde, a highly volatile organic compound, the concentrations of indoor measured both in small-scale apartments and the Clean Healthy houses did not exceed- the guideline of Korea. The guideline of Korea for acetaldehyde was not available, so the guidelines of Japan and the World Health Organization were used to measure the concentration of acetaldehyde. The study results demonstrated that three out of seven small-scale apartments investigated exceeded the guideline of Japan; and the preliminary research on the Clean-Health Houses was low at about 30-60% of the guideline of Japan. The result of the VOCs measurement showed that toluene, ethylbenzene, and styrene in some small-scale apartments exceeded the guideline of Korea. However, the Clean-Healthy Houses in the previous studies did not exceed the guideline of Korea with regard to all the pollutants. Therefore, this study suggests the application of the construction standards of the Clean-Healthy house in order to improve the indoor air quality of small-scale apartments. In addition, the current study anticipates that improvement of the indoor air quality in the residential environments should be universally applied, not limited to the type and size of the residence.

Seoul Metropolitan City, the world's top 10 cities and Metro City, has traditional urban manufacturing industries such as printing, sewing, and mechanical metals. These manufacturing industries have developed in the form of mutual assistance by forming small business clusters according to detailed industries and processes. Due to the nature of the cluster, logistics between companies for each process in the cluster are being carried out quickly, but it is difficult for relatively small small business owners to prepare order processing services for consumers of finished products. Therefore, it is urgent to introduce an integrated order fulfillment service platform for collective business owners for smooth order and delivery processing. In this paper, we collect and analyze the existing Fulfillment Service data of small business owners in the printing industry among traditional urban industries, and design an artificial intelligence Fulfillment Service Platform system applying CRNN, k-NN, and ID3 Decision Tree algorithm. Through this study, it is expected to greatly contribute to the increase in sales and capacity of small business owners by enabling the use of individual orders and customized delivery services that can be used by any small business owner in the cluster.

Genetic variation was surveyed at the mitochondrial control region (766bp) to test for the presence of genetic stock structure in the small yellow croaker, Larimichthys polyactis from the Yellow and East China Seas. Individuals of the small yellow croaker could not be distinguished on the basis of its location, as demonstrated using the neighbor-joining (NJ) method, unweighted pair-group method, arithmetic average (UPGMA) and the minimum spanning network (MSN). Analysis of molecular variance revealed no significant differences among collections of the small yellow croaker taken from the four locations (two locations each in Korea and China). Neutrality tests and a mismatch distribution analysis indicated that this species has recently expanded. Our findings suggest either that the small yellow croaker has a high migration capability that enables it to overcome the effects of genetic drift, or that this species expanded relatively recently and has not yet had sufficient time to differentiate.

Small and medium-sized local airports have suffered from chronic operating deficits due to many factors except for large airports in Incheon, Gimpo, Jeju and Gimhae. These small and medium-sized local airports have currently been degraded to inefficient airports handling the significantly lower airline demand than their carrying capacities. In this context, this study conducted a survey on the actual conditions of the airline demand in small and medium-sized local airports for the last 10 years after the opening of the Korea Train eXpress and investigated the causes and actual conditions of an increase and a decrease in the airline demand. In addition, it analyzed the functionality, convenience and economic feasibility, competition elements in comparison with other means of transportation, and the actual competitive conditions of local airports. It investigated facility improvements through a field visit for local airports and analyzed the performance rate of passenger demands and the use rate of terminal facilities according to a change in the airline demand. This study aimed to provide basic data in the architectural planning field, needed to establish a plan for the airport revitalization of local airports with the results of an analysis on the actual conditions of small and medium-sized local airports.

Small hydropower resources for five major river systems have been studied. The model, which can predict flow duration characteristic of stream, was developed to analyze the variation of inflow caused from rainfall condition. And another model to predict hydrologic performance for small hydropower(SHP) plants is established. Monthly inflow data measured at Andong dam were analyzed. The predicted results from the developed models in this study showed that the data were in good agreement with measured results of long term inflow at Andong dam. It was found that the models developed in this study can be used to predict the available potential and technical potential of SHP sites effectively. Based on the models developed in this study, the hydrologic performance for small hydropower sites located in river systems have been analyzed. The results show that the hydrologic performance characteristics of SHP sites have some difference between the river systems. Especially, the specific design flowrate and specific output of SHP sites located on North Han river and Nakdong river systems have large difference compared with other river systems.

Purpose: This study is to identify factors associated with performance of occupational health services in small-sized workplaces in Korea. Methods: The data were collected from a random sample of 1,158 occupational health managers working for small-sized workplaces across the nation in which occupational health services were supported by Korean Industrial Health Association. A structured questionnaire was self-administrated by occupational health managers about characteristics of workplaces, occupational health managers, and performance level of occupational health services. Results: Stepwise multiple regression analyses revealed that factors associated with performance of occupational health services in small-sized workplaces included supervisor being designated, occupational health manager having received safety and health training, and employer's concern with activities of health management. Conclusion: Government should make efforts to raise the level of employer's concern to occupational health activities. And it is needed to promote health managing staff as a core personnel to self-management for occupational health system.

Science and Technology SATellite-3 (STSAT-3) is science purpose satellite which weighs below 170kg. This is classified as small satellite or micro satellite more specifically. The launch vehicles (launchers) for small satellite has their own requirements for environmental interface. Since the small satellites are usually launched with cluster or multiple payloads, the selection option for appropriate launcher is limited. Therefore, the satellite should be designed with the consideration of environmental requirements of these launchers. In this paper, the environmental requirement of most candidated launchers for small satellite is summarized and give satellite environmental requirement to accommodate all launchers requirements.

This study aims to find out the significance in the experiences of voluntary participation in small groups by mothers of young children. As a result of the interviews conducted by targeting five mothers, the total was divided into three categories and six sub-factors. First, mothers voluntarily participated in small groups. Free from the role of mother and wife, they focused on their real selves, and had experiences of emotional support by forming close relationships with people. Second, mothers did not just participate in small groups as a hobby, but tried to be role models that help the growth of their children. They also tried to be the catalyst that helps create positive changes in their children and husbands. Third, mothers had social experiences, participated in economic activities as members of society or exerted their capabilities through active exchange with other people. Finally, this research hopes to provide the community with parent education-related implications that can have a positive impact on mothers themselves, their families and society.

In digital economy, information systems are recognized as the most critical survival factor of companies. Companies must launch and expand business based on information systems either developed newly or adopted as ERP. However, successful information systems operation shall face many realistic problems. Especially most small and medium enterprises experience many difficulties in systems operation or even give up operating information systems due to unexpected operational problems. This paper suggests a framework for effective information systems operation for small and medium enterprises. The framework is designed through case studies, consisting of service framework, auditing framework, and risk management framework. It is expected that the framework contributes to successful information systems operation in small and medium enterprises.

최근 우리나라 연안어업은 한일, 한중어업협정, WTO 가입 등으로 주변 환경이 급격하게 변화되는 한편, 연근해 어자원의 감소와 근해어업과의 경쟁조업 등으로 인해 경영수지가 극도로 악화되고 있다. 이로 인해 연안어민들의 최소 생계기반 마저 위협받고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 연안어업의 수익향상과 자원관리 측면에서 경제성 연안 어선의 선형개발 방안을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 새로운 어선어업 환경에서 요구하는 자원관리, 채산성보장 등의 경제 사회적 요건을 기술적 요소로 변환하여 다목적어선의 개념을 설정하고 관련 기초자료를 마련하였다. 특히, 연안어업을 동해, 서해, 남해, 서남해 등으로 나누어 허가업종의 실태와 어민 요구사항이 서로 다른 점을 감안하여 다목적화 가능 업종을 선정하고, 선형개발 방안을 도출, 정리하였다.
