염료감응형 태양전지용 나노다공질 TiO$_2$ 전극막의 제조 (Manufacturing of mesoporous TiO2 film for dye-sensitized solar cell)

  • The mesoporous TiO2 film for the dye-sensitized solar cell was prepared by the spin coating using nano particle $TiO_2$ slurry. In order to obtain the good dispersion of nano size $TiO_2$ particles in slurry, the pH of solvent, the sort and quantity of solvent additive and the quantity of surfactant were adjusted. The experimental range of pH was $2\;{\sim}\;4$. The basic solvent for slurry was dilute $HNO_3$ and the solvent additives were ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and butylene glycol. The degree of particle dispersion was indirectly estimated by the viscosity of slurry and the microstructure after sintering. As results, the lower the pH of solvent was the lower the viscosity of the slurry became. The addition of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol to dilute $HNO_3$ brought about the lowering of viscosity and the enhancement of stability in slurry. The addition of surfactant lowered the viscosity of slurry. It was possible to obtain the homogeneous and uniformly dispersed mesoporous TiO2 film using the dilute HNO3 solvent of pH 2 with the addition of ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and neutral surfactant.

  • Most of high performance fabrics for the car racing protective clothing have been developed to have thermal resistance, flame retardant property, impact resistance and anti-frictional properties to protect the racer from the crucial accident. In this study, the meta-aramid fabric, which has inherent flame retardant, was coated with nanoparticles of SiC to enhance the impact resistance and anti-friction properties. Uniform coating of the nanoparticles onto the fabrics was obtained by using tape casting method. As the experimental parameters, size and content of the SiC nanoparticle were varied with the coating conditions of the fabric surface. The effects of the nanoparticle coating on the properties of meta-aramid fabric were examined with various instrumental analyses such as SEM, tensile strength and abrasion test.

  • Currently, Bi-2223 HTS tape is capable of being fabricated in longer than 100m length by industrial processes. But there are some problems in heat treatment of the degree of longer than 100m tape, which is in term of volume occupied with specimen in furnace. The effects of ceramic coating with variable slurry states were studied in Bi-2223 high-temperature superconductor. The HTS tapes coated with oxide were prepared by using dip-coating method on slurry state. Critical current(I$_{c}$) of tapes coated with ceramic materials were equal with 11.5A at 77K after first heat treatment as different slurries. For final heat treatment, Critical current of HTS tapes coated with zirconia oxide mixed in PMMA and PVA organic solute were 20.8A at 77K. The breakdown voltage of HTS tapes coated with zirconia oxide were 3kV in air and 4~7kV in L$N_2$.>.

  • Molinate 혼합립제(混合粒劑)의 제형(劑型)에 따른 용출속도(溶出速度), 살초효과(殺草效果) 및 벼의 생장(生長)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 조사하고자 습식형(濕式型), zeolite 흡착형(吸着型) 및 모래피복형(被覆型) 입제(粒劑)를 공시(供試)하여 제형(劑型)개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 실내 및 폿트실험을 수행하였다. 1. Molinate와 simetryn의 용출속도(溶出速度)는 습식형(濕式型) 및 zeolite 흡착형(吸着型) 입제(粒劑)에 비하여 모래피복형(被覆型) 입제(粒劑)에서 현저히 빨랐다. 2. 살초효과는 molinate 단제(單劑)에서는 다소 불량하였으나 molinate/simetryn 합제(合劑) 및 molinate/simetryn/MCPB 합제(合劑)에서는 다소 낮은 수준에서도 높았으며 모래피복형(被覆型)과 습식법(濕式法)으로 제조된 입제(粒劑)에서 다소 높은 경향이었다. 3. 벼의 생장(生長)은 zeolite 흡착형(吸着型)이나 습식법(濕式法)으로 제조된 입제(粒劑) 보다 모래피복형(被覆型)에서 다소 억제되는 경향이었다.

Improvement of Electrochemical Performance of Lithium-ion Secondary Batteries using Double-Layered Thick Cathode Electrodes

  • Various steps in the electrode production process, such as slurry mixing, slurry coating, drying, and calendaring, directly affect the quality and, consequently, mechanical properties and electrochemical performance of electrodes. Herein, a new method of slurry coating is developed: Double-coated electrode. Contrary to single-coated electrode, the cathode is prepared by double coating, wherein each coat is of half the total loading mass of the single-coated electrode. Each coat is dried and calendared. It is found that the double-coated electrode possesses more uniform pore distribution and higher electrode density and allows lesser extent of particle segregation than the single-coated electrode. Consequently, the double-coated electrode exhibits higher adhesion strength (74.7 N m-1) than the single-coated electrode (57.8 N m-1). Moreover, the double-coated electrode exhibits lower electric resistance (0.152 Ω cm-2) than the single-coated electrode (0.177 Ω cm-2). Compared to the single-coated electrode, the double-coated electrode displays higher electrochemical performance by exhibiting better rate capability, especially at higher C rates, and higher long-term cycling performance. Despite its simplicity, the proposed method allows effective electrode preparation by facilitating high electrochemical performance and is applicable for the large-scale production of high-energy-density electrodes.

도장철근의 부착강도 개선에 영향을 미치는 초기재령에서의 PCS 도장재 배합조건 (Mix Design Conditions at Early Curing Age of PCS-Coating Material Effected on Improvement in Bond Strength of Coated Rebar)

  • 이 연구는 폴리머 시멘트 슬러리로 도장한 도장철근의 부착강도 개선에 영향을 미치는 초기재령에서의 PCS 도장재 배합에 관한 연구로 폴리머의 종류, 시멘트의 종류, 폴리머 시멘트비, 도장재의 양생재령, 도장두께 등을 변화시켜 배합을 설정하여 부착강도 시험을 실시하였다. 이 연구 결과, PCS 도장철근의 부착강도는 거의 모든 배합에서 도장하지 않은 보통철근 및 에폭시철근에 비해 높은 부착강도를 나타냈다. 도장철근의 최대 부착강도는 보통철근에 비해 1.52배, 에폭시 철근에 비해 1.58배로 높게 나타났으며, 도장두께는 $100{\mu}m$에서 우수하였으며, 시멘트는 초조강 시멘트, 폴리머는 EVA, 폴리머 시멘트비는 80%~100% 범위에서 우수한 부착강도를 나타냈다. 또한 양생재령에 있어서는 3시간의 단시간 양생에 의한 부착강도도 양생재령 1일 및 7일에 비해 열악하지 않고 동등이상의 부착강도를 나타내 실제 현장에서의 사용성면에서 유리한 것으로 볼 수 있다.

습식공정 파우더 파운데이션에서 파우더 코팅 시스템의 특성 연구 (The Characteristic Studies of Powder Coating System in Wet Slurry Processing Powder Foundation)

  • 파우더 파운데이션은 사용이 간편하고 수정화장이 용이하여 고객들이 많이 사용하고 있으며, 파우더 파운데이션을 만드는 방법은 건식방식, 소성방식, 그리고 습식방법으로 크게 분류할 수가 있다. 이 중 습식방법은 이미 잘 알려진 바와 같이 back injection 방법과 front injection 방법이 있으며, 본 논문에서는 front injection 방법을 사용해 실험을 진행하였다. 실험결과 용매의 종류에 따른 경도 변화를 살펴보면 휘발성 실리콘이나 탄화수소계 휘발성 물질을 이용할 때 보다 정제수를 이용할 때 경도가 높게 나타났으며, 사용감 측면에서는 물보다는 탄화수소계 휘발성 물질과 휘발성 실리콘 등을 사용했을 때, 고객 선호도가 높게 나타났다. 또한 코팅물질 변화에 따른 경도 변화로는 아미노산계 코팅물질을 사용하였을 때 경도가 상승하는 효과를 나타냈으며, 실리콘 코팅 물질을 사용했을 때 경도 상승효과가 미비한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 각 대상 고객에 맞는 처방을 개발하고자 할 때 사용감과 경도의 상관관계를 알고, 처방설계에 이용한다면 고객이 원하는 사용감에 한발 더 접근할 수 있으리라 생각된다.

Processing of Porous Ceramics with a Cellular Structure Using Polymer Beads

  • Two processing routes (i.e., the gel casting and polymer preform routes) using polymer beads were studied to fabricate porous ceramics with a cellular structure. The gel casting route, comprising the gel casting of a ceramic slurry mixed with polymer beads, was found to be inadequate to produce porous ceramic bodies with a interconnected pore structure, due to complete coating of the slurry on the polymer beads, which left just isolated pores in the final sintered bodies. The polymer preform route, involving the infiltration of a polymer beads preform with the ceramic slurry, successfully produced porous ceramics with a highly interconnected network of spherical pores. The pore size of 250-300 $\mu\textrm{m}$ was demonstrated and the porosity ranged from 82 to 86%. This process is advantageous to control the pore size because it is determined by the sizes of polymer beads used. Another feature is the avoidance of hollow skeleton, giving a high strength.
