고강도 7xxx 알루미늄 합금의 응력부식균열에 미치는 부식환경과 응력속도의 영향 (Effect of Corrosion Atmosphere and Strain Rate on the Stress Corrosion Cracking of High Strength 7xxx Aluminum Alloy)

  • High strength 7xxx aluminum alloys have been applied to automotive bump back beam of the some limited model for light weight vehicle. The aluminum bump back beam is manufactured through extrusion, bending and welding. The residual stress given on these processes combines with the corrosive atmosphere on the road spreaded with corrosive chemicals to melt snow to occur the stress corrosion cracking. The composition of commercial 7xxx aluminum has Zn/Mg ratio about 3 and Cu over 2 wt% for better strength and stress corrosion cracking resistivity. But this composition isn't adequate for appling to the automotive bump back beam with high resistance to extrusion and bad weldability. In this study the composition of 7xxx aluminum alloy was modified to high Zn/Mg ratio and low Cu content for better extrusion and weldability. To estimate the resistivity against stress corrosion cracking of this aluminum alloy by slow strain rate test, the corrosion atmosphere and strain rate separate the stress corrosion cracking from conventional corrosion must be investigated. Using 0.6 Mol NaCl solution on slow strain rate test the stress corrosion cracking induced fracture was not observed. By adding 0.3% $H_2O_2$ and 0.6M $Na_2SO_4$ to 1M NaCl solution, the corrosion potential and current density of polarization curve moved to active potential and larger current density, and on the slow strain rate test the fracture energy in solution was lower than that in pre-exposure. These mean the stress corrosion cracking induced fracture can be estimated in this 1M NaCl + 0.3% $H_2O_2$ + 0.6M $Na_2SO_4$ solution. When the strain rate was below $2{\times}10^{-6}$, the stress corrosion cracking induced fracture start to be observed.

99회 전국체전 남자 일반부 K-1 1000m 경기력 분석 (Performance Analysis of Men's K-1 1000 Meter Sprint at the 99th National Sports Festival)

  • 본 연구는 남자 일반부 K-1 1000m 결승 경기의 랩타임을 분석하여 경기력 향상을 위한 구간별 페이스 조절 전략을 모색하기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 99회 전국체전 결승 경기의 랩타임을 250m 단위 구간으로 측정하였으며, 이 기록을 2018년도에 개최된 World Championship 남자 일반부 결승 경기의 랩타임 자료와 비교 분석하였다. 국내 최상위 선수들의 최종 기록 평균은 248.651초, 국제무대 최상위 선수들은 210.826초로 38초가량 경기력 차이가 난다. 랩타임별로는 250m 구간마다 8초, 11초, 6초, 13초 뒤처지는 기록을 나타냈다. World Championship 참가 선수들은 Fast-Maintain-Maintain-Spurt 전략을 쓰는 반면, 국내 선수들은 Fast-Slow-Fast-Slow의 페이스 조절 전략을 주로 쓰고 있었다. 국내 선수들은 경기력 향상을 위해, '빠른 스타트에 이은 중반 페이스 유지, 마지막 스퍼트'로의 전반적인 페이스 조절 전략 수정이 필요하다.

고밀도 디스크 드라이브의 안착시간 최소화 제어 (Control For Minimizing Settling Time in High-Density Disk Drives)

  • During seek operation in disk drives, the recording head is moved toward desired track by seek servo controller and then is settled onto the center of the desired track by settling servo controller. If the head speed at the start of settling servo control is not slow, it may produce overshoot relative to the center of track and thus extend the settling time. The degradation in settling performance will be more severe as the track width becomes smaller for higher density of data storage. We design a new settling servo controller for minimizing settling time based on the pole-zero cancellation. In order to cancel slow poles in settling response, we apply discrete pulse signals to the system in addition to the state feedback control. For exact pole-zero cancellation, we consider the dynamics of power amplifier used for actuator current regulation and the effects of delay in control action. In addition, we present system parameter identification algerian for the robustness of our controller to system parameter variation. In order to demonstrate the practical use of our controller, we present experimental results obtained by using a commercially available disk drive.

Kinematic Analysis of the Technique for 500-m Speed Skaters in Curving

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the kinematic characteristics of the national speed skaters in the curve phase of 500-m race. Method: Seven national skaters participated in the study. Race images were acquired using a high - speed camera, and the three-dimensional motion was analyzed. Results: For skaters, whose average velocity in the curve phase is high, the velocity of entry into the straight phase was also fast. The fast skaters showed a larger maximum angle of extension of the knee joints than the relatively slow skaters, and the trunk ROM was smaller. Fast skaters tended to match the timing of the movement of the lower limb with the pelvis, while slow skaters tended to rotate the left pelvis backward. The velocity of the curve phase did not show a clear relationship with stroke time, average trunk angle, and lap time. Conclusion: It is important to skate close to the inner line, keep the trunk ROM below 10 degrees, extend the knee angle to over 160 degrees, and match the movement of the pelvis and lower limb to accelerate in the curve phase. The average velocity of the curves was fast for many athletes, but the competition rankings were low. Therefore, it is possible to improve the performance by optimizing the start technique, the running characteristics of the straight phase, and the physical factors.

고속응답 $CO_2$ 분석기의 제작 및 이를 이용한 SI 엔진에서의 실시간 배기가스 분석에 관한 연구 (Development of Fast-Response $CO_2$ Analyzer and Analysis of Engine-out Emission during Transient Condition of SI engine)

  • A fast response $CO_2$ analyzer has been developed for measuring the $CO_2$ concentration during transient condition of SI engine. The analyzer is based on the non-dispersive infrared absorption technique, electrical chopping system and water cooling system. The analyzer has good repeatability, linearity and permissible drift characteristic. Besides, it has 18ms with a response to measure the $CO_2$ concentration. The fast response $CO_2$ analyzer was applied to single cylinder SI engine and the $CO_2$ emission was examined during engine start. Simultaneously, the standard exhaust gas analyzer, which has slow response time, was used for considering the engine-out $CO_2$ characteristic. The developed analyzer showed much faster responsive characteristic than that of a standard analyzer and made cycle by cycle exhaust gas analysis possible. The transient engine operating characteristics will be estimated and the transient behaviors on engine-out emission and performance will be improved.

Shipyard Skid Sequence Optimization Using a Hybrid Genetic Algorithm

  • 본 연구는 조선소 소조립 공정에서 스키드 투입 순서 최적화를 통해 전체 작업시간을 단축시키는 새로운 유전 알고리즘 방법을 제안한다. 하나의 해는 스키드 번호들의 순열로 표현되며 그러한 표현에 적합한 유전 연산자들을 적용하였다. 또한 탐색 성능의 개선을 위해 UniDev라 불리우는 기존의 휴리스틱 알고리즘을 적절하게 변형하여 유전 알고리즘과 결합하였다. 특히 UniDev에서 느린 스키드 탐색 부분을 그리디 알고리즘의 형태로 변경하였다. 매우 큰 규모의 문제에 대해 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과 Multi-Start 탐색과 UniDev기반 혼합형 유전알고리즘에 비해 본 연구에서 제안하는 방법이 안정적으로 작업시간을 최소화함을 관찰하였다.

완속여과공정에서 운전시간 및 여층깊이에 따른 자연유기물질(NOM) 제거 특성 (Removal characteristics of NOMs in a slow sand filter at different media depth and operation time)

  • Natural organic matter (NOM) removal by physico-chemical adsorption and biological oxidation was investigated in five slow sand filters with different media depths. Non-purgeable dissolved organic carbon(NPDOC) and $UV_{254}$ absorbance were measured to evaluate the characteristics of NOM removal at different filter depths. Removal efficiency of NOM was in the range of 10-40% throughout the operation time. At start-up of the filters packed with clean sand media, NOM was probably removed by physico-chemical adsorption on the surface of sand through the overall layer of filter bed. However, when Schumutzdecke layer was built up after 30 days operation, the major portion of NPDOC was removed by biological oxidation and/or bio-sorption in lower depth above 50 mm. NOM removal rate in the upper 50 mm filter bed was $0.82hr^{-1}$. It was about 20 times of the rate($0.04hr^{-1}$) in the deeper filter bed. Small portion of NPDOC could be removed in the deeper filter bed by both bio-sorption and biodegradation. SEM analysis and VSS measurement clearly showed the growth of biofilm in the deeper filter bed below 500 mm, which possibly played an important role in the NOM removal by biological activity besides the physco-chemical adsorption mechanism

  • 전송 프로토콜은 응용 프로그램과 네트워크의 인터페이스로서, 응용 프로그램에서 요구한 QoS(Quality of Service)를 제공하는 역할을 한다. 이 중 TCP는 인터넷의 전송 흐름 제어를 위해서 사용되는 프로토콜이다. TCP의 흐름 제어를 위해서 수신된 데이터의 ACK(acknowledgement)에 따라 허가된 윈도크기만큼의 데이터를 보내는 크레디트 할당 밀집 윈도(congestion window)를 사용한 slow-start 알고리즘을 사용하며, 손실된 데이터를 재전송하기 위한 방법으로 빠른 재전송 및 회복 알고리즘을 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 빠른 재전송 알고리즘에서 나타나는 문제점을 알아보고, 이 알고리즘이 빠른 시간에 데이터 손실을 회복하고 데이터를 보낼 수 있도록 수정한 알고리즘을 소개한다. 또한 수정된 알고리즘을 확장하여 네트워크의 상태에 따라 더 많은 데이터를 보낼 수 있도록 개선한 알고리즘을 제안한다.

A Study on the Tip Position Control of Flexible Beam by Linear Matrix Inequality

  • Many of today´s robot are required to perform tasks which demand a high level of accuracy in end-effector positioning. Those rigid robots are very inefficient and slow because its have large and heavy links, In an attempt to solve these problems, a robots using flexible beam were created. But the single-link flexible beam is infinite-dimensional system. Many researchers have proposed controlling such a beam an approximated model consisting of a finite a number of models. In this paper, we start by deriving the analytic model for the dynamics of general single-link beam, and a controller is designed for flexible beam with integral type servo system bases of the linear matrix inequality (LM) technique. To the end, simulation results show that a designed controller guarantees affective vibration control the single-link flexible beam.

네트워크 효율 향상을 위한 개선된 TCP 혼잡제어 알고리즘 (Modified TCP Congestion Control Algorithm to Improve Network Efficiency)

  • 본 논문에서는 혼잡윈도우(CWnd) 와 RTT 파라메터를 사용해 흐름을 제어하는 개선된 TCP 혼잡제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘에서 혼잡윈도우를 TCP의 상태에 따라 저장된 RTT값으로 제어하여 혼잡상태를 회피한다. 또한 CWnd 값의 변동율을 줄이고 패킷 손실율을 낮춰서 네트워크 효율을 증대시킬수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과 제안된 알고리즘이 버퍼 이용율과 네트워크 효율면에서 기존 TCP 알고리즘보다 우수한 성능을 보였다.
