  • Generally, Slotless PM BLDC drive system is necessary that the three Hall-ICs evenly be distributed around the stator circumference and encoder be installed in case of the 3 phase motor. So, the Hall-ICs are set up in this motor to detect the main flux from the rotor, and the output signal from Hall-ICs is used to drive a power transistor to control the winding current. However, instead of using three Hall-ICs and encoder, we used only two Hall-ICs for the permanent magnet rotor position and for the speed feedback signals, and also for a microcontroller of 16-bit type (80C196KC) with the 3 phase Slotless PM BLDC whose six stator and two rotor designed. Two Hall-IC Hc and $H_B$ are placed on the endplate at 120 degree intervals, and with these elements, we can estimate information of the others phase in sequence through a rotating rotor.

  • This paper proposes inserted core type of slotless Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) to improve its low thrust density. However, by inserting the core between windings of each phase, detent force is generated. Furthermore, linear motors have the feature of structurally limited length. So, it causes the end-effect in actual operation. So, this paper applies the neural network to this model to minimize detent force and maximize thrust. Also, sub-poles used the to the end parts of the mover for compensating the end-effect.

  • This paper deals with comparison on Electromagnetic losses of slotted and slotless high-speed PM Machine for Micro Turbine. Losses are consist of core losses, copper losses and eddy current losses. We are using both analytical method and 2D Finite Element Method for more detailed losses analysis. And then We compare Electromagnetic losses of slotted and slotless PM synchronous machine. This machine has designed of a generator of 800W, 400000rpm and a starter of 400W, 200000rpm.

  • This paper discusses design aspects of slotless permanent magnet generator for high performance and low speed applications. The airgap flux density in was obtained from finite element analysis and the design of a PM generator. The relatively large diameter stator laminations of such machines tend, therefore, to have a very thin back of core and narrow teeth, which make them expensive and difficult to manufacture. this thesis proposes an alternative PM generator topology featuring a slotless stator whose laminations are manufactured from a split core. The test results with a resistive load confirm the satisfactory operation of generator.

  • This paper deals with characteristic analysis method of the slotless type Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) using the space harmonic method. Analysis models of the PM and the armature current are described by the magnetization configurations taking into account the 2D and 3D distribution. In 3D analysis, the thrust and normal force can be calculated more accurately, because it can consider the z component flux density which is impossible in 2D analysis. In order to verify the validity of the proposed method, the results of the analytic method are compared with not only the experimental ones but ones of Finite Element Method(FEM).

  • This paper deals with comparison of magnetic field distribution in LOA with slotless/slot stator. We derived magnetic field solutions in terms of vector potential and cylinderical coordinates. In particular this paper accounts for slotting effect due to stator slot opening by introducing a 2-D relative permeance function. The results of predictions from the analysis are compared with corresponding finite element analysis.

  • This paper is deal with the method of redesign for optimum thrust model using Neural-Networks in Permanent Magnet Linear Synchrous Motor(PMLSM). This method is saved time compared with design method using only Finite Element Method(FEM). In this paper data sets for training Neural-Networks obtained using 2D FEM. To confirm the validity of the data sets for training Neural-Networks optimum values of that Is compared with results of FEM. And then. this method is verified that it could be applied to the design for Slotless type PMLSM.

  • 본 논문은 Slotless BLDC 모터를 고출력화 하기 위해서 나선형(Helical)방식을 적용하여 모터의 고출력화를 이루는 방식에 대한 연구이다. 기존의 SlotlessBLDC모터는 코깅이 없고, Slot이 없으므로 소형화에 유리한 장점을 지녔다. 반면에 공극의 자속 밀도가 낮아 출력을 높이는데 한계가 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 SLBLDCM의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 Helical 방식을 제안하였다. Helical 방식을 적용할 때 기존의 인덕턴스 영향으로 인한 전류 확립에 한계가 있었으나 본 방식을 적용 시 높은 전류를 흘릴 수 있었으며 이로 인해 고출력화를 이룰 수 있었다. 아울러 Helical 방식을 취하므로 높은 전류로 인한 발열문제까지도 동시에 해결할 수 있는 장점이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 Helical 방식을 적용하여 기존대비 출력을 15%이상 향상시킬 수 있었으며, 온도 상승도 10%이상 억제할 수 있었다.

  • This study deals with the characteristic analysis of slotless PMLSM based on the analytical method. Slotless PMLSM produces the thrust ripples due to the harmonic component of back-EMF. Therefore, this paper presents the thrust ripple minimization technique, by modifying the pole ratio and the coil width. The results of the proposed mehtod are compared the ones of FEM.
