  • With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence, more and more fields have begun to use artificial intelligence technology, especially the medical field. Cancer is one of the biggest problems in the medical field. [1] If it can be detected early and treated early, the possibility of cure will be greatly increased. Malignant skin cancer, as one of the types of cancer with the highest fatality rate in recent years has problems such as relying on the experience of doctors and being unable to be detected and detected in time. Therefore, if artificial intelligence technology can be used to help doctors in early detection of skin cancer, or to allow everyone to detect skin lesions or spots anytime, anywhere, it will have great practical significance. In this paper we used attention residual learning convolutional neural network (ARL-CNN) model [2] to classify skin cancer pictures.

배양된 사람 세포를 이용해 제작한 인공피부에서 방사선조사에 대한 dimethyl sulfoxide의 보호 효과 (Radioprotective effects of dimethyl sulfoxide in the artificial skin reconstructed with cultured human cells)

  • Purpose: To evaluate cultured human artificial skin as an experimental model for studying radiation effects in vitro. Materials and Methods: The skin was constructed by culturing keratinocytes over collagen lattice which made by culturing fibroblasts. Two groups were irradiated to gamma rays at single dose of 25 Gy with or without 3.5% of DMSO. Ultrastructures were investigated by electron microscopy after irradiation. The number of epidermal layers and expression of cytokeratin (CK) 14 & 10 were also seem by light microscopy. Results: At 2 days after irradiation in experimental group without DMSO, necrotic cells were rarely found in the spinosal layer and undercornified cells were visible in the homey layer. Similar findings were also found in experimental group with DMSO but in mild form. The number of epidermal layers in experimental group without DMSO were significantly fewer than other group. CK 14 expressed in all the layer excluding homey layer but CK 10 expressed over 3∼4 basal layers. Such patterns of CK expression were similar to all groups. It is suggested that structures of the keratinocytes and epidermal formation could be disturbed by irradiation in artificial skin and that DMSO can protect these damages. Conclusion : Therefore this work could be used as an organotypic experimental model in vitro using human cells for studying radiation effect in skin. Furthermore structural findings provided in this study could be used as useful basic data in further study using this model.

  • 인공피부배양물(DA-3711)은 동아제약의 인공피부배양기술을 활용하여 개발되었으며, 노화된 피부상태를 개선시켜 줄 수 있는 천연의 세포외기질 단백질을 비롯하여 인체성장인자 등의 영양성분을 함유하고 있다 DA-3711의 항노화 효과는 in vitro와 in vivo에서 규명되었으며, 또한 인체 효능 연구 결과에서도 피부탄력을 개선시키고 주름을 감소시키는데 매우 효과적이었다. 즉, DA-3711을 이용한 새로운 주름개선제는 피부재생을 촉진시켜 항노화 및 주름개선 효능을 나타낸다.

난방시스템 및 개구부의 통합제어를 위한 규칙기반제어법 및 인공신경망기반제어법의 성능비교 (Development of Integrated Control Methods for the Heating Device and Surface Openings based on the Performance Tests of the Rule-Based and Artificial-Neural-Network-Based Control Logics)

  • This study aimed at developing integrated logic for controlling heating device and openings of the double skin facade buildings. Two major logics were developed-rule-based control logic and artificial neural network based control logic. The rule based logic represented the widely applied conventional method while the artificial neural network based logic meant the optimal method. Applying the optimal method, the predictive and adaptive controls were feasible for supplying the advanced thermal indoor environment. Comparative performance tests were conducted using the numerical computer simulation tools such as MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) and TRNSYS (Transient Systems Simulation). Analysis on the test results in the test module revealed that the artificial neural network-based control logics provided more comfortable and stable temperature conditions based on the optimal control of the heating device and opening conditions of the double skin facades. However, the amount of heat supply to the indoor space by the optimal method was increased for the better thermal conditioning. The number of on/off moments of the heating device, on the other hand, was significantly reduced. Therefore, the optimal logic is expected to beneficial to create more comfortable thermal environment and to potentially prevent system degradation.

세포조직배양법을 이용한 쥐 인공피부의 개발 (Development of Dermal Equivalent Using Mouse Fibroblasts)

  • As the first stage of development of an artificial skin, fibroblasts were cultured in the collagen matrices to make a living dermal equivalent. Mouse embryonic fibroblasts were incorporated into a collagen matrices on plastic dishes containing concentrated DMEM culture media supplemented with sodium bicarbonate, hepes, antibiotics and fetal bovine serum. As the growth stimulation components, glycosaminoglycans were added: hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, heparin, chitosan were incorporated into the media at a concentration of either 1% or 5% w/w/ to collagen in order to investigate the effect on development of dermal equivalent. After the few days of incubation, gel matrics were contracted and firm dermal equivalent were formed. And the keratinocytes were cultured on top of dermal equivalent and make a three dimensional artificial skin tissue.

Development of Artificial Skin from Chitosan Derivatives

  • Chitosan derivitives, a sulfated N-acetylchitosan was synthesized, and artificial skin of sulfated N-acetylchitosan and N-carboxyl butyl chitosan were investigated. Sulfated derivatives of chitosan were analyzed by {TEX}${13}^C${/TEX}-NMR and the structure on N-acetyl chitosan 3,6-O-disulfate were confirmed. Rabbits underwent a midline laparotomy followed either by a bilateral peritoneal sidewall abraison(3.0×1.5cm). The injured surface was then covered with 0.2mm thick sulfated N-acetyl chitosan membrane. Sulfated N-acetyl chitosan membrane was found to reduce postsurgical bleeding after abraison of peritoneal surface treated with sulfated N-acetyl chitosan membrane. Sulfated N-acetyl chitosan implanted rabbit showed quick wound healing than N-carboxybutyl chitosan. With a sterilization procedure of chemical sterilization, sulfated N-acetyl chitosan seem to be better substitutes than N-carboxybutyl chitosan.

나이아신아마이드의 인공피부조직 투과 개선을 위한 고형지질나노입자의 설계 연구 (Design of Solid Lipid Nanoparticles to Improve Penetration of Niacinamide through Artificial Skin Tissue)

  • 본 연구에서는 기능성 미백물질인 나이아신아마이드(NI)의 피부 투과율을 개선시키기 위해 NI를 고형지질 나노입자(solid lipid nanoparticles, SLNs))에 봉입하고 피부 투과율을 평가하였다. NI는 이중 에멀션 가온용융 유화법으로 SLNs 내에 효과적으로 봉입할 수 있었으며, 평균 입자 크기는 263.30 ~ 436.93 nm이었고 제타전위는 -34.77 ~ -57.60 mV인 안정한 입자를 제조하였다. NI의 피부 투과 연구를 위해 인체 표피 조직에서 유래된 피부각질세포로 만든 3차원적 인공피부(SkinEthicTM RHE)을 사용하였다. NI의 피부 투과 및 침적 실험 결과 모든 SLNs 제형이 NI의 피부 투과 및 침적율을 개선시켰으며, SLNs을 적용하였을 때가 그렇지 않을 때 보다 투과율은 약 5.4 ~ 7.6 배, 침적율은 9.5 ~ 20.8 배 개선되었을을 확인하였다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 제조된 고형지질나노입자는 기능성 미백물질인 나이아신아마이드의 피부 투과율을 개선하기에 충분한 결과를 보여 주었다.

이중외피 건물의 개구부 및 난방설비 제어를 위한 인공지능망의 적용 (Application of Artificial Neural Network for Optimum Controls of Windows and Heating Systems of Double-Skinned Buildings)

  • This study aims at developing an artificial neural network(ANN)-based predictive and adaptive temperature control method to control the openings at internal and external skins, and heating systems used in a building with double skin envelope. Based on the predicted indoor temperature, the control logic determined opening conditions of air inlets and outlets, and the operation of the heating systems. The optimization process of the initial ANN model was conducted to determine the optimal structure and learning methods followed by the performance tests by the comparison with the actual data measured from the existing double skin envelope. The analysis proved the prediction accuracy and the adaptability of the ANN model in terms of Root Mean Square and Mean Square Errors. The analysis results implied that the proposed ANN-based temperature control logic had potentials to be applied for the temperature control in the double skin envelope buildings.

  • For realizing artificial skin sensing as a final goal, a mono-material pressure-conductive rubber sensor which is also sensitive for temperature is described. Firstly, discimination of the hardness and the thermal property of material using a proposed sensor is presented. Furthermore, a tactile sensor constints of four pressure-conductive rubber sensor to discriminate surface model which imitaties the surface roughness of material is proposed.
