  • An automatic echelon feeder of brown rice was presented for quality inspection system using color image processing. A echelon feeder was developed with vibratory feeder and cylindrical indent singulator having oblique light. The vibratory feeder consisted of a hopper, electromagnetic vibrator and multichannel grooves and supply the grain sample to the singulator. The feeding performance such as feed rate, blocking frequency of the channel was dependent on the size of groove and vibration pattern. A cylindrical indent singulator consisted of a rotating cylinder, prisms and a tungsten-halogen light source. It delivered grain kernels under the camera in a echelon form and illuminate the kernels with oblique ray and ambient light. The size of the indents installed on the surface of the rotating cylinder was determined by the dimensions of the paddy and a small triangular prism was placed in each indent to apply $ 20^{\circ}$ oblique light to the grain kernel.

  • Multi-Relay Networks should accommodate mobile users of various speeds. The cellular system should meet the minimum residency time requirements for handover calls while considering an efficient use of available channels. In this paper, we design speed-sensitive handover under dynamic hierarchical cellular systems, in which mobile users are classified according to the mean speed of mobile users and each class has its cellular layer. In order to meet the minimum residency time, the cell size of each cellular layer is dynamically determined depending on the distributions of mean speeds of mobile users. Since the speed-dependent non-preferred cell can provide a secondary resource, overflow and take-back schemes are adopted in the system. We develop analytical models to study the performance of the proposed system, and show that the optimal cell size improves the blocking probability.

  • In this paper, a novel defected ground structure (DGS) pattern with enhanced effective capacitance (varactor diode) and a hole in PCB center is presented. The increase in effective capacitance enables the new DGS pattern to achieve a lower resonance than the DGS pattern for the same etched square dimension. The hole in the center also can make resonator frequency lower with better characteristic. According to the tunable characteristic of varactor diode, the resonant frequencies can be tunable. Simulation results show that a lower resonance is achieved with active device, compared to a common DGS pattern.

  • Feeding habits of Acentrogobius pellidebilis collected from in an eelgrass(Zostera marina) bed from January to December 2006 were studied. A. pellidebilis ranged form 1.6 to 6.9 cm in standard length were determined. A. pellidebilis was a carnivore which consumed mainly copepods, polychaetes, and amphipods. Its diets included small quantities of isopods, seaweeds, nematods, and gastropods. It showed ontogenetic changes in feeding habits. Smaller individuals (<2.0cm SL) fed mainly on copepods. While the consumption of copepods decreased with increasing fish size, the consumption of polychaetes and amphipods were increased. Dietary breadth index was varied with fish size.

  • The coercivity mechanism in permanent magnets was analyzed according to the effects of domain nucleation and domain wall pinning. The coercivity mechanism of a TbCo thin film with high perpendicular magnetic anisotropy was considered in terms of the local inhomogeneity in the thin film. The initial magnetization curves of the TbCo thin films demonstrated domain wall pinning to be the main contributor to the coercivity mechanism than domain nucleation. Based on the coercivity model proposed by Kronmuller et al., the inhomogeneity size acting as a domain wall pinning site was determined. Using the measured values of perpendicular anisotropy constant ($K_u$), saturation magnetization ($M_s$), and coercivity ($H_c$), the inhomogeneity size estimated in a TbCo thin film with high coercivity was approximately 9 nm.

  • The study was conducted to project supply and demand of the nurses till year 2010 based on analysis of supply and demand of nurses up to year 1991. Results of the study will provide invaluable information for nurses manpower planning as well as overall health manpower planning for the 21th century. It is projected that nurses will be oversupplied based on the current prductivity which is undesirable situation if the quality of care is considered, and undersupplied based on the the medical law as well as optimal productivity. Thus, it is desirable to increase active supply of nurses. One of the ways of increasing active supply would be increasing the size of training and education. But, considering low employment rate of nurses which is about 59% better way of solving problems related to nurses shortage would be improvement in nurses' employment rate. According to simulation study done as part of this study, if nurses' employment rate goes up to 80%, there is no need for increasing the size of training to meet the demand at the level of medical law.

  • Purpose: The main purposes of this study are to identify the degree of effect size and variables related to it, on the effect of physical therapy on shoulder adhesive capsulitis. Methods: This study were collected 8 studies published between 2010.01.01. and 2020.08.01. The Analysis result confirmed 16 effect size data, the random effect model was chosen because of the heterogeneity of the data. Results: First, full case showed the largest mean effect size 3.28 (p<0.001). Second, Size of the effect according to hands on+off intervention the 5.17 (p>0.344). Third, Number of participants showed 15 or more effect size 4.19 (p<0.002). intervention period showed 8 weeks effect size 5.12 (p>0.425). Number of intervention showed 14 or less effect size 3.99 (p>0.061). Publication type showed thesis effect size 4.34 (p<0.003). Finally, 'Trim and Fill' result confirmed that the calibration effect size is 1.71 (p<0.001). Conclusion: We were able to confirm that physical therapy had great effect on shoulders adhesive capsulitis, and that the effect differed according to the methods of intervention, the methods of evaluation.

  • In this paper, we investigate the extent of the set on which the modulus of a meromorphic function is lower bounded by a term related to some Nevanlinna Theory functionals. A. I. Shcherba estimate the size of the set on which the modulus of an entire function is lower bounded by 1. Our theorem in this paper shows that the same result holds in the case that the lower bound is replaced by$lT(r,f)$, $0{\leq}l$ < 1, which improves Shcherba's result. We also give a similar estimation for meromorphic functions.

  • Purpose: Predicting the change in breast size for a specific patient's need is a challenging problem in breast augmentation. We intended to investigate the postaugmentation degree of breast size according to the size of cohesive silicone gel implant. Methods: To predict post-augmentation breast size, we measured 100 patients' pre-and postoperative 3 month's bust circumference. All patients were performed by total subfascial breast augmentation with moderate profile cohesive silicone gel implant through areolar omega (transareolar-perinipple) incision. Results: According to this study, each additional one pair of 100 mL in implant size yielded an approximate 1.5 cm increase in bust circumference (p=0.006). Conclusion: From this result, we conclude that each additional one pair of 100 mL in implant volume yielded about 1.5 cm increase in bust circumference. Although this result may not be applied to every patient, we believe that it yields a practical chart that can help to predict the amount of increase in breast size with the use of cohesive silicone gel implant of a specific size preoperatively.
