의복 설계를 위한 40-60대 한국 남성의 체형 변화에 관한 연구 - 제 5차, 제 6차 Size Korea 직접 측정치를 기준으로 - (A Study in the 40-60s Korean Male Body Type Changes for Clothing Construction - Focused on the 5th and 6th Size Korea's Anthropometric Data -)

  • This study analyzed the change pattern of Korean male body size in their 40s-60s and their current body shape based on the research materials of the 5th(2004) and 6th(2010) conducted by Size Korea. The purposes of this study are to make the related fashion industry recognize the changes of Korean male body size in their 40s-60s and suggest basic materials for clothing design that reflects such trend. As a result of analyzing changes of male body size in their 40s-60s by age, it was found that height, length, breadth and weight decreased across most of the items as the age increased. As for circumference, as the age increased, waist circumference (natural indentation), waist circumference (omphalion), and abdominal extension circumference increased, while other items decreased. In relation to the depth, as the age increased, hip depth and armscye depth decreased, while chest depth, bust depth, waist depth (natural indentation), and waist depth (omphalion) increased. Analyzing the change pattern of Korean male body size in their 40s-60s according to measurement year, height size increased in the 6th year across most of the body part items compared to the 5th year. It means that height of body parts related to body height increased in overall. As for circumference, most items showed decrease, which means that Korean male's body shape in their 40s-60s gets slim gradually. While the breadth of the chest decreased, the depth of the chest increased. which is assumed due to the increase in exercise according to high interest in health in a society. It will be possible to design proper clothes for consumer body type and trends if we design clothes that afford multilateral attention to the patterns, design, or material in clothing design by applying the aspects of Korean male body size in their 40s-60s and body type change.

후드(Hood) 패턴 설계를 위한 체형연구 -머리 및 어깨의 형태를 중심으로- (Body-type Study for Hood Pattern - Focusing on the Shoulder and Shape of the Head -)

  • To design a beautiful hood fitting an unspecific individual, focusing on body parts such as the head, neck and shoulder requires body size and type information, which applied by physical factors like size, types, and movements, etc. These parts consist of complicated types and structures. Accurate information should be a priority due to great individual differences and low correlation with other body parts. However, there is not a lot of detailed physical information nor design methods for hood design. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to select a study sample "hood" which is a recently emerging fashion item and to expand the necessary physical information for pattern design and draw body size of wearing part on Hood like head, cerbical portion and shoulder. Extract factors to consist on types and after divided into several types, a study comparing each type's physical characteristics was conducted. In order to do that, body measurement data have been collected by statistical treatment and analyzed reference with statistical treatment. The results of the study are predicted to be important data to develop various hood designs for the recent fashion trend. Factor analysis was conducted through main composition analysis about direct measured item on human body and index items. The results of factor analysis, composed factors of body type in this research object were extracted in total of 3 factors. To categorize the head, neck and shoulders of women in their early 20s women and determine their characteristics, variances with factor analysis became operative for Cluster analysis. With these clusters, women in their early 20s were categorized into three types. The results of this study are considered to affect largely for higher physical suitability on unspecified individuals when allowed absence of reference and the fact that body size only limited to item 'head circumstance' in terms of making hat and hood in the case of recent Korea. For the future, an experimental study of hood production should be conducted by using basic data from this study.

Nonlinear FE modelling and parametric study on flexural performance of ECC beams

  • Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) is a special class of the new generation of high performance fiber reinforced cementitious composites (HPFRCC) featuring high ductility with relatively low fiber content. In this research, the mechanical performance of ECC beams will be investigated with respect to the effect of slag and aggregate size and amount, by employing nonlinear finite element method. The validity of the models was verified with the experimental results of the ECC beams under monotonic loading. Based on the numerical analysis method, nonlinear parametric study was then conducted to evaluate the influence of the ECC aggregate content (AC), ECC compressive strength ($f_{ECC}$), maximum aggregate size ($D_{max}$) and slag amount (${\phi}$) parameters on the flexural stress, deflection, load and strain of ECC beams. The simulation results indicated that when increase the slag and aggregate size and content no definite trend in flexural strength is observed and the ductility of ECC is negatively influenced by the increase of slag and aggregate size and content. Also, the ECC beams revealed enhancement in terms of flexural stress, strain, and midspan deflection when compared with the reference beam (microsilica MSC), where, the average improvement percentage of the specimens were 61.55%, 725%, and 879%, respectively. These results are quite similar to that of the experimental results, which provides that the finite element model is in accordance with the desirable flexural behaviour of the ECC beams. Furthermore, the proposed models can be used to predict the flexural behaviour of ECC beams with great accuracy.

동중국해 북부해역의 동물플랑크톤 크기그룹별 생체량의 분포 특성 및 변화 (Characteristics and Variation of Size-fractionated Zooplankton Biomass in the Northern East China Sea)

  • Zooplankton is an important constituent in assessing ecosystem responses to global warming. The northern East China Sea is an important ecosystem for carbon cycling with a net sink of carbon dioxide. Despite their importance as a major component in carbon cycling, relatively little is known about zooplankton biomass structure and its regulating factors in the northern East China Sea. This study examined zooplankton biomass distribution pattern in the region from multiple cruises encompassing various seasons between 2004 and 2009. Results showed that zooplankton biomass exhibits less cross-shelf gradient in general with declining biomass to the eastern shelf towards the Tsushima Current Water. Size-fractionated biomass showed that the 1.0~2.0 mm size group, mostly copepods, dominated zooplankton biomass, comprising 38 to 48% of total biomass. Smaller zooplankton (0.2~1.0 mm) biomass, consisting mainly of Paracalanus spp, a particle eating herbivorous copepod, was positively related to chlorophyll-a concentration, but no relationship was established for larger zooplankton (1.0~5.0 mm). Spatially-averaged mean total zooplankton biomass was also highly related to chlorophyll-a concentration. These result suggest that the long-term trend of zooplankton biomass increase in this region is partly accounted for by the increases of phytoplankton biomass and productivity underway in the region. However, the underlying mechanisms of how sea surface warming in the study area leads to increased phytoplankton biomass and productivity remains unclear.

시스템 복잡도를 적용한 COSMIC-FFP 기반 소프트웨어 개발노력 추정 모델 (A Model to Estimate Software Development Effort Based on COSMIC-FFP Using System Complexity)

  • 성공적인 프로젝트 수행을 위해서 개발초기 단계에서 소프트웨어 개발노력 등 자원을 예측하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 그리고 이는 소프트웨어 규모를 통해 가능하며, 소프트웨어 규모 산정 방식의 최근 동향은 프로그램 라인 수(LOC)와 같은 개발자 관점의 접근방식 보다는 사용자가치 중심의 산정방식인 기능점수 분석기법(FPA)을 보다 선호하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사례연구를 통해 실제 투입되는 개발노력을 측정하고, 완전기능점수 기법 매뉴얼에 따라 COSMIC Function Point를 직접 계산하였다. 그리고 산출된 데이터에 대한 회귀분석을 통해 COSMIC-FFP기반 소프트웨어 개발노력 추정 모델을 제안한다. 그리고, COSMIC-FFP 기법은 규모를 추정하는데 필요한 기능 요소들에 대한 가중치를 적용하지 않는 단점이 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 제안된 모델의 정확성을 높이기 위해 시스템 복잡도를 가중치로 적용하며, 가중치 추정을 위한 모델도 제안한다.

조석에 따른 영산강 하구의 물리적 환경 및 식물플랑크톤 크기구조: 소조기 (Tidal Influence on Physical Parameters and Phytoplankton Size Structure in Youngsan River Estuary during Neap Tide)

  • To understand the changes in physical parameters and phytoplankton size structure caused by tides, a fixed station in the Youngsan River estuary was monitored at 2-h intervals, on April 28, 2012 and August 12, 2012. No clear relationship was observed between the temperature and salinity changes and tidal levels in April. However, in August, temperature decreased during the ebb tide and increased during the flood tide, while salinity showed the opposite trend. In addition, there was no specific change in the phytoplankton biomass corresponding to tidal levels in April. In August, the total chlorophyll a and the biomass of net phytoplankton (>$20{\mu}m$) increased almost 20 times during the ebb tide and decreased during the flood tide. The biomass of nanophytoplankton (<$20{\mu}m$) showed a similar variation in response to tidal level changes. In April, the relationship between percent contributions of phytoplankton size structure and tidal levels was not clear. In August, the net phytoplankton was dominant in the early stage and nanophytoplankton was dominant in the later stage, while contribution of nanophytoplankton and net phytoplankton increased at high tide and low tide, respectively. Therefore, in April, other factors such as freshwater discharge were more important than the tide, whereas in August, when no freshwater discharge was recorded, the changes in semidiurnal tides influenced the physical parameters and phytoplankton dynamics. These results could contribute to the understanding of phytoplankton dynamics in the Youngsan River estuary.

시간경과, 교반 및 분산제 첨가에 따른 물-Al2O3 나노유체 열전도도 변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Thermal Conductivity Change of Water-Al2O3 Nanofluid with the Elapse of Time, Stirring, and Adding Dispersing Agent)

  • A water-$Al_2O_3$ nanofluid was manufactured, and its thermal conductivity was measured in this study. The measurement was performed at volumetric concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, 2%, and 3%, and the nanoparticle sizes were 20 nm and 70 nm. Experimental test equipment, using the transient hot wire method, was installed to measure the thermal conductivity of the nanofluid, and the measured results were confirmed by measuring pure water with a measurement error of 0.92% at $20^{\circ}C$. The thermal conductivity enhancement ranged from 4.8% to 13.6% for the 20 nm particle size, and from 3.1% to 8.8% for the 70 nm particle size at a concentration range of 0.5% to 3%. The enhancement increased with a decrease in particle size and an increase in concentration. With the elapse of time after manufacturing the nanofluid, the thermal conductivity enhancement decreased significantly from 5 to 9 h, and this trend was measured under all of the measurement conditions. After 24 h, the enhancement ranged from 1.2% to 3.5% for the 20 nm particles, and from 0.6% to 2.3% for the 70 nm particles. The enhancement trends with the elapse of time were almost identical with and without stirring the nanofluid. SDBS (Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate) was added as a dispersing agent, and the decrease in the thermal conductivity enhancement was delayed.

국내 연구의 패션상품 평가속성 효과에 대한 메타분석연구 (Meta-analysis on the Effects of Fashion Product Evaluation Attributes in Korea)

  • This study makes use of meta-analysis to statistically integrate the quantitative results of individual research on the influence of fashion product attributes on purchase; in addition, this study utilizes the effect sizes of correlation coefficients. This study was based on 24 individual studies from January 2000 to March 2015. The meta-analysis analyzed 91 effect sizes and 24 studies and calculated the correlation coefficient effect sizes. A random effect model was employed for meta-analysis because the results for the homogeneity test indicated that the effect sizes of each research were heterogeneous. The analysis results are as follows. First, when the total effect sizes of the fashion product attributes that influence clothing purchase decisions were calculated as .256; this indicated that the effect size is slightly below the mid-sized level. Second, upon examining the effect sizes of the categorized fashion product attributes, the intrinsic attributes yielded .222, extrinsic factors yielded .235, and the compiled attributes yielded .420; this demonstrated that the compiled attributes have a larger effect size than individual attributes. Third, when they were measured by the characteristics of study targets, they were larger for a mixed-gender group than women as well as for ordinary citizens than university students. When the effect sizes were measured based on the characteristics of fashion products as suggested in the study, there were significant differences with respect to sportswear, followed by SPA brand clothing, general clothing, fashion accessories, and designer clothing. The cases where the clothing were purchased in non-retail stores were found to have a slightly larger effect size than those of offline retail stores when the effect sizes were measured based on purchase routes; however, the difference was not statistically significant. Next, an investigation of the trend of effect sizes based on published year via the meta regression analysis indicated slightly larger effect sizes as shown in more recent publications, but this was not statistically significant.

인구변동 추이와 전망 -2000년대를 향한 국가장기발전 구상을 중심으로- (Trend of Population Change and Future Population in Korea - Korean Future in Year 2000; Long Term National Development -)

  • In Principle, the distriction should be understood between projections and forecasts. When the author or user of a projection is willing to describe it as indicating the most likely population at a give date, then he has made a forecast Population change since 1 960 has been reviewed briefly in order to forecast the population of Korea in the year 2,000 which is a leading factor in long term national development plan for which Korea Institute for Population and Health (KIPH) has been participated since 1983. The author of this paper introduced the population forecast prepared for the long term national development plan and an attempt of comparisons with other forecasts such as D.P. Smith's, T. Frejka's, Economic Planning Board's (EPB), UN's and S.B. Lee's was made. Those six forecasts of Korean future population in year 2,000 varried from 48.5 million to 50.0 million due to the base population and assumption of fertility and mortality however the range of total population size is not large enough. Taking four forecasts such as KIPH, EPB, UN, and Lee based on 1980 population census results and latest data of fertility and mortality, KIPH and UN forecast are close in total population size even though there was a slight difference in fertility and mortality assumptions. The smallest size of total population was shown by S.B. Lee (see Table 13) although the difference between KIPH and Lee was approximately one million which is two percent of total population in year 2,000. As a summary of conclusion the author pointed out that one can take anyone of forecasts prepared by different body because size and proportion wise of the Korean population until early I 990s can not be different much and new population projections must be provided by using 1985 population census data and other latest fertility and mortality information coflected by Korea Institute for Population and Health and Economic Planning Board in forth comming year.

Effect of chemical concentrations on strength and crystal size of biocemented sand

  • Biocementation due to the microbially induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) process is a potential technique that can be used for soil improvement. However, the effect of biocementation may be affected by many factors, including nutrient concentration, bacterial strains, injection strategy, temperature, pH, and soil type. This study investigates mainly the effect of chemical concentration on the formation of calcium carbonate (e.g., quantity, size, and crystalline structure) and unconfined compressive strength (UCS) using different treatment time and chemical concentration in the biotreatment. Two chemical concentrations (0.5 and 1.0 M) and three different treatment times (2, 4, and 8 cycles) were studied. The effect of chemical concentrations on the treatment was also examined by making the total amount of chemicals injected to be the same, but using different times of treatment and chemical concentrations (8 cycles for 0.50 M and 4 cycles for 1.00 M). The UCS and CCC were measured and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis was carried out. The SEM images revealed that the sizes of calcium carbonate crystals increased with an increase in chemical concentrations. The UCS values resulting from the treatments using low concentration were slightly greater than those from the treatments using high concentration, given the CCC to be more or less the same. This trend can be attributed to the size of the precipitated crystals, in which the cementation efficiency increases as the crystal size decreases, for a given CCC. Furthermore, in the high concentration treatment, two mineral types of calcium carbonate were precipitated, namely, calcite and amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC). As the crystal shape and morphology of ACC differ from those of calcite, the bonding provided by ACC can be weaker than that provided by calcite. As a result, the conditions of calcium carbonate were affected by test key factors and eventually, contributed to the UCS values.
