This paper describes an improvement of mount-time delay in NAND Flash file systems. To improve file system mount performance, this work configures a hierarchical storage system with byte-addressable NVRAM and NAND Flash memory, and let the meta data of a file system allocated in the NVRAM. Since the meta data are stored in NVRAM supporting data integrity some of the items, which are stored in Spare area and Object Header area of NAND Flash memory to control meta data of NAND Flash file system, could be eliminated. And also, this work eliminates the scanning operation of the Object Header area of previous work FRASH1.0. The scanning operation is definitely required to find out the empty Object Header address for storing the Object Header data and provokes a certain amount of performance loss in file generation and deletion. In this work, an implemented file system, so-called FRASH1.5, is demonstrated, featuring new data structures and new algorithms. The mount time of FRASH1.5 becomes twice as fast as that of the FRASH1.0. The performance in file generation gets improved by about $3{\sim}8%$. In particular, for most large-size files, the FRASH1.5 has 8 times faster mount time than YAFFS, without any performance loss as seen in the file generation.
Garbage collection in the Java virtual machine is a core function that relieves application programmers of difficulties related to memory management. In this paper, we evaluate and analyze the performance of GenGC and GenRGC, garbage collectors for embedded Java virtual machines. For performance evaluation, we employ CVM, a real embedded Java virtual machine developed by Sun Microsystems, Inc., as a platform and also use a widely-used SpecJVM98 as a set of benchmark programs. To compare the performance of GenGC and GenRGC, we first evaluate the time of garbage collection and the delay time caused by garbage collection. Second, for more detailed performance analysis of GenRGC, we evaluate the time of garbage collection and the delay time caused by garbage collection while changing the sizes of a block and a frame. Third, we analyze the size of storage space required for performing GenRGC, and show GenRGC to be suitable for embedded environment with a limited mont of memory. Since CVM is the most representative one of embedded Java virtual machines, this performance study is quite meaningful in that we can predict the performance of garbage collectors in real application environments more accurately.

Nowadays a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) represents an aggregation of distributed energy resource such as Distributed Generation (DG), Combined Heat and Power generation (CHP), Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and load in order to operate as a single power plant by using Information and Communication Technologies, ICT. The VPP has been developed and verified based on a single virtual plant platform which is connected with a number of various distributed energy resources. As the VPP's distributed energy resources increase, so does the number of data from distributed energy. Moreover, it is obviously inefficient in the aspects of technique and cost that a virtual plant platform operates in a centralized manner over widespread region. In this paper the concept of the large-scale VPP which can reduce a error probability of system's load and increase the robustness of data exchange among distributed energy resources will be proposed. In addition, it can directly control and supervise energy resource by making small size's virtual platform which can make a optimal resource scheduling to consider of variable and sensitive load in the large-scale VPP. It makes certain the result is verified by simulation.

Purpose : The dose calculation program for the Buckler type remote after-loading system was developed. This program also can be used to calculate dose for various sealed sources. Materials and Methods : We determined the source length and distribution by dividing the program disk to 72 points. The dose rate for the each program disk and source was calculated. The dose rate table for the xy coordinate was established. The dose rate for the interesting points of the patient were calculated by using this table, We also made isodose curve from this calculations. Results : The storage size for the dose rate table were increased. But the calculation of the dose rate for the patient were carried out rapidly. So we could get real time calculation. Conclusion : By using this program, we could calculate the dose rate for the various points of the patient quickly and accurately. This program will be useful for the treatment with various linear sources.

Di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) may be released from plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) articles. In the cases of various methods for the quantitative analysis of migrating DEHP, there are much differences in migrating quantity according to the experimental methods. It is therefore important to make the comparison and analysis between these two results. A study of DEHP migration from blood and infusion bags has been carried out in different methods to evaluate the amount of DEHP migration using gas chromatograph and UV-vis spectrophotometry. Five PVC bags were cut into plane sheets in size of $40{\times}10{\times}0.4mm$, then were immersed in extraction solvent for an hour to release DEHP. It was determined by a gas chromatograph that $23.2{\sim}70.9{\mu}g/mL$ of DEHP was extracted. While extraction solvent was injected into PVC bags which were then placed for an hour to leach DEHP out. It was checked by a UV-vis spectrophotometer that the concentration of DEHP in extraction solvent was $24.8{\sim}41.3{\mu}g/mL$. Two results show different values according to the extraction conditions and experimental methods and the gas chromatographic results were converted into UV-vis spectroscopic results on condition that DEHP would be extracted equally per unit time and unit contact area. It was concluded that DEHP migrating amounts are approximately equal in two analytical methods.
Today, with the spread of smartphones and the development of social networking services, structured and unstructured big data have stored exponentially. If we analyze them well, we will get useful information to be able to predict data for the future. Large amounts of data need to be collected first in order to analyze big data. The web is repository where these data are most stored. However, because the data size is large, there are also many data that have information that is not needed as much as there are data that have useful information. This has made it important to collect data efficiently, where data with unnecessary information is filtered and only collected data with useful information. Web crawlers cannot download all pages due to some constraints such as network bandwidth, operational time, and data storage. This is why we should avoid visiting many pages that are not relevant to what we want and download only important pages as soon as possible. This paper seeks to help resolve the above issues. First, We introduce basic web-crawling algorithms. For each algorithm, the time-complexity and pros and cons are described, and compared and analyzed. Next, we introduce the state-of-the-art web crawling algorithms that have improved the shortcomings of the basic web crawling algorithms. In addition, recent research trends show that the web crawling algorithms with special purposes such as collecting sentiment words are actively studied. We will one of the introduce Sentiment-aware web crawling techniques that is a proactive web crawling technique as a study of web crawling algorithms with special purpose. The result showed that the larger the data are, the higher the performance is and the more space is saved.
The water level of the dam reservoir is an important data in the operation of the dam. reservoir storage can be calculated by using water levels or prepared for disasters such as drought and floods. However, the water level is measured near the dam, making it difficult to represent a reservoir with a large area, and there is a high possibility that the water surface will be distorted due to discharge. Furthermore, the results of the survey showed that the water level of the reservoir is irregular rather than constant, and the water level of the reservoir is repeatedly falling and rising by section. In order to calculate such a complex and irregular representative water level, the water level observation density of the reservoir must be increased. In this study, we tried to derive the optimum water level observation density for Hwacheon Dam. A reasonable water level measurement density was derived by investigating the water level elevation of the reservoir and statistically analyzing it. The observation density may vary depending on the size of the reservoir, so the same analysis was conducted on the Goesan Dam and Boseonggang Dam. According to the results, four Hwacheon dams, three Goesan dams, and seven Boseong River dams are needed for observation density.
Carbon neutrality requires carbon dioxide reduction technology and alternative green energy sources. Palygorskite is a clay mineral with a ribbon structure and possess a large surface area due to the nanoscale pore size. The clay mineral has been proposed as a potential material to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) and possibly to store eco-friendly hydrogen gas (H2). We report our preliminary results of grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulations that investigated the adsorption isotherms and mechanisms of CO2 and H2 into palygorskite nanopores at room temperature. As the chemical potential of gas increased, the adsorbed amount of CO2 or H2 within the palygorskite nanopores increased. Compared to CO2, injection of H2 into palygorskite required higher energy. The mean squared displacement within palygorskite nanopores was much higher for H2 than for CO2, which is consistent with experiments. Our simulations found that CO2 molecules were arranged in a row in the nanopores, while H2 molecules showed highly disordered arrangement. This simulation method is promising for finding Earth materials suitable for CO2 capture and H2 storage and also expected to contribute to fundamental understanding of fluid-mineral interactions in the geological underground.
Dramatic increase in the number of Internet users want highly qualified service of continuous media contents on the web. To solve these problems, we present two network caching schemes(PPC, PPCwP) which consider the characteristics of continuous media objects and user access pattern in this paper. While there are plenty of reasons to create rich media contents, delivering this high bandwidth contents over the internet presents problems such as server overload, network congestion and client-perceived latency. PPC scheme periodically calculates the popularity of objects based on the playback quantity and determines the optimal size of the initial fraction of a continuous media object to be cached in proportion to the calculated popularity. PPCwP scheme calculates the expected popularity using the series information and prefetches the expected initial fraction of newly created continuous media objects. Under the PPCwP scheme, the initial client-perceived latency and the data transferred from a remote server can be reduced and limited cache storage space can be utilized efficiently. Trace-driven simulation have been performed to evaluate the presented caching schemes using the log-files of iMBC. Through these simulations, PPC and PPCwP outperforms LRU and LFU in terms of BHR and DSR.
Corsoy 79 soybeans were ground into 8-(coarse) and 24-mesh (fine) full-fat soy flours. From the particle size analysis, the 8-mesh full-fat soy flours were found to have larger values for geometric mean diameter and geometric standard deviation. However, the distribution moduli of coarse and fine soy flours were similar and indicated soybeans were nearly 'brittle'. Development of hydrolytic and oxidative rancidities of coarsely and finely ground full-fat soy flours were followed from grinding to 24 hrs later. No increases in peroxide value and conjugated dienes in the oil and hexanal content in the headspace of the flour were observed when the moisture was 10.7% or less. At 14.9% moisture and above, lipid oxidation increased with increased moisture content and storage time. Free fatty acid contents increased slightly at all moisture contents. However, hydrolysis did not exceed 0.06% over the moisture range of 4 to 18%, which is of little practical significance. Fine grinding increased oxidative and hydrolytic rancidities, especially at 14.9% moisture and above. these findings indicate that raw soybeans can be ground to full-fat soy flours and stored up to 24 hrs without undergoing significant lipid and flavor deterioration if the moisture content is 11% or less.
