In this paper, we operate Synchronous Reluctance Motor(SynRM) using the two-phase conduction method. Acually SynRM is operated by the sinusoidal PWM method but in home-appliance there is many restrictions of making the motor such as the method of winding, the shape of rotor etc. Therefore it is possible that there is little difference of performance between the two-phase conduction method and the sinusoidal PWM method. In this paper the characteristics of motor noise will be analyzed especially in the case of using the two-phase conduction method by experiment results.

In this paper we study the convergence behavior of the least mean fourth(LMF) algorithm where the error raised to the power of four is minimized for a multiple sinusoidal input and Gaussian measurement noise. Here we newly obtain the convergence equation for the sum of the mean of the squared weight errors, which indicates that the transient behavior can differ depending on the relative sizes of the Gaussian noise and the convergence constant. It should be noted that no similar results can be expected from the previous analysis by Walach add Widrow.

This paper presents the new concept in ac power theory with non-sinusoidal waveform. It will be shown that there is discrepancy in the definition of active and complex power in the time and frequency domains when the conventional power theory is considered It will also be shown that the new power theory consistently defines the power quantifies in the time domains.

SCR에서도 anode 전류가 미소(약수 10mA∼수100mA이내)할때에는 게이트 전fur을 조정하므로써 anode전류를 조절할수 있다. 이를 이용하여 cathode 각로에 적당치의 저항을 삽입하여 게이트 회로에 부성저항특성을 나타내게 할 수 있고 간단한 정형파 발진회로를 만들었다.

This paper deals with the exact solution of surface gravity waves in an ocean with irregular bed topography. In order to obtain water surface elevation and run-up of infra-gravity waves when the bed is either wavy or exponential, closed form solutions are obtained. Numerical computations indicate that when solitary wave or sinusoidal wave conditions are applied at the boundary, water surface elevation attains near Gaussian profile.

A Gaussian smoothing algorithm obtained from a cascade of convolutions with a seven-point kernel is described. We prove that the change of local sums after applying our algorithm to sinusoidal signals is reduced to about two thirds of the change by the binomial coefficients. Hence, our seven point kernel is better than the binomial coefficients when trend curves are needed to be generated. We also prove that if our Gaussian convolution is applied to sinusoidal functions, the amplitude of higher frequencies reduces faster than the lower frequencies and hence that it is a low pass filter.

The joint transform correlator (JTC) has been the best known technique for pattern recognition and identification. This paper proposes a new technique of fringe adjustment by adopting a sinusoidal amplitude-modulated iterative filter convolved with an interference fringe pattern in the joint power spectrum (JPS) domain. The comparison of our new technique and other techniques is presented to show that the newly proposed technique can successfully improve both the correlation peaks and the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). Simulated results of enhanced interference fringes are also presented.

본 논문에서는 정현파를 이용한 spread-spectrum watermarking 에서 비가청성을 높이기 위한 방법과 효율적인 threshold 설정 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법에서는 spread-spectrum 기법을 사용할 때 계산량이 많이 요구되는 심리음향모델 계산을 피하면서도 가청잡음을 줄이기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 또한 outlier 를 이용하여 워터마크 검출에서 적절한 threshold 설정방법을 제안한다.

Active control schemes which modify the excitation to correct for any of the nonideal characteristics of the SPMSM is described. Especially, because of design limitations(size and cost) in automobile, the back-EMF of SPMSM can't be perfectly designed with sinusoidal wave and iron core of stator is saturated so that torque ripple is unavoidable. An active cancellation method of the pulsating torque components which would otherwise be generated using the classic sinusoidal current excitation is illustrated.

Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS) Systems are widely used in a varietyof fields as highly reliable power sources. This paper describes the operation and performance of an UPS using sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)techniques. A newly developed UPS adopted switching element -power TR, power MOSFET, IGBT- is introduced. Experimental results showed that sinusoidal PWM techniques have good features for UPS systems.
