눙형 유도 전동기의 전 디지털화된 PWM 발생 및 벡테제어 (Fully Digitalized PWM and Vector Control of the Squirrel-Cage Induction Motor)

  • Full direct digital control of induction motor driver is implemented with a minimal hardware structure. This paper deals with the presentation of a low-cost single-chip microprocessor-based control system for three-phase PWM generation and vector control that control speed of the induction motor using the field-oriented control method. Rotor flux is estimated using the indirect sensing method based on the rotor circuit equation in the synchronously rotation reference frame, and slip angle and rotor position are calculated from rotor angular velocity and stator current. Through simulation and experiment, it is shown that the proposed scheme gives good static and dynamic performance to the induction motor drive.

  • The cycloconverter operating on a circulating current-free mode has many zero crossing points. If an exact zero crossing points are not detected, the three phase-unbalanced currents will flow in a motor. In this paper, the current feedback using a current reference wave is proposed to improve the problems of zero crossing detection, three phase-unbalanced voltages, currents, and torgue ripples. To prevent the saturation of the air gap flux and keep the torque constant, the constant voltage / hertz control with IR compensation is adopted. The PI-controller is designed using the linearized model of the cycloconverterinduction motor system. Alsi, Z-80A single board computer has been used to implement the proposed scheme which results in the performance improvement of cycloconterter-fed induction motor speed control system.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of a capacitor-run single-phase induction motor by changing of conductor bar numbers. The Finite Element Method (FEM) is used to analyze the starting characteristics according to the rotor initial starting point about conduction bar and the characteristic analysis at the rated condition is calculated by equivalent circuit based on symmetry coordinate theory Finally, the analysis results of the analysis models have different conductor bars in their rotor are compared.

  • 본 논문은 PWM 인버터로 구동되는 단상 유도전동기의 출력 누설 전류 억제에 관한 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 누설 전류 피드백 회로가 부가된 인버터 시스템에 있어서 저차 고조파 저감을 위한 새로운 PWM 스위칭 알고리즘을 적용한 것이다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행한다.

고주파자속을 고려한 단순상유도전동기의 해석 (Analysis of Single-phase Induction Motor Having Space Harmonics in Its Magnetic Field)

  • In this paper, the characteristics of a single phase induction motor which is considered the space harmonic flux by the double revolving field theory is analysed. As the rotor resistance for the fundamental flux is separated from the resistance for the rotor bar and end-ring, and the rotor leakage reactnace is separated from the skew leakage reactance and the other, so the circuit constants for the space harmonic flux is expressed by the circuit constants for the fundamentals. As the ratio of the circuit constants for the magnetizing reactance is used, the generalized equivalent circuit is made up. the characteristic equation which is able to analysis the subdivided characteristics by the above circuit is induced. The ratio of the circuit constants and the skew angle being changed, the variations of the torque-speed characteristics for the fundamentals and harmonics is examined by this equation.

  • 본 논문에서는 V55 마이크로프로세서로 제어되는 반브릿지 인버터를 사용하여 영구 콘덴서형 단상유도 전동기의 가변속 구동에 대해 연구하였다. Patel의 알고리즘을 이용한 SHE(Selected Harmonic Elimination) PWM 구동방식에 의한 V/F 제어로 출력전압의 고조파분을 제거할 수 있으며, 속도의 제어 범위가 넓어짐을 알 수 있었다. 제안한 방법을 시뮬레이션과 실험의 결과로 입증하였다.

  • This paper describes the calculation of the equivalent circuit parameters and the characteristic analysis of a capacitor-run type single-phase induction motor by means of the finite element method in coupled with the conventional equivalent circuit model. The circuit parameters of the stator are calculated form the lumped parameter and the slot leakage reactance of the rotor with the closed slot can be obtained by the use of slot pitch boundary condition. From the analysis result this combined equivalent circuit and finite element method which is used slot pitch boundary condition is compared with the experimental results, the validity of the method is proved.

  • A lot of slot openings which are the rest of winding in stator slot can be applied by wedges made of magnetically anisotropic material in order to lead magnetic flux into rotor in rotating machines. In this paper, high efficiency single-phase induction motor was analyzed with a 2-dimensional finite element method by using magnetic wedges for improvement of efficiency.

  • This paper presents an window based user-friendly designed characteristics analysis program of permanent-split capacitor single-phase induction motor. For the analysis, equivalent magnetic circuit and symmetrical coordinate method are used. The saturation effect and iron loss of stator and rotor core are considered. The analysis program is made to GUI type which can be used easily by many elementary designer. The accuracy of analysis is verified by comparison with experimental results.

Wing Technique: A Novel Approach for the Detection of Stator Winding Inter-Turn Short Circuit and Open Circuit Faults in Three Phase Induction Motors

  • This paper presents a novel approach based on the loci of instantaneous symmetrical components called "Wing Shape" which requires the measurement of three input stator currents and voltages to diagnose interturn insulation faults in three phase induction motors operating under different loading conditions. In this methodology, the effect of unbalanced supply conditions, constructional imbalances and measurement errors are also investigated. The sizes of the wings determine the loading on the motor and the travel of the wings while their areas determine the degree of severity of the faults. This approach is also applied to detect open circuit faults or single phasing conditions in induction motors. In order to validate this method, experimental results are presented for a 5 hp squirrel cage induction motor. The proposed technique helps improve the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the motor system and industrial plant. It also allows maintenance to be performed in a more efficient manner, since the course of action can be determined based on the type and severity of the fault.
