  • In this paper, the authors propose a current control system of single phase PWM AC/DC converter without the source voltage sensors. The sinusoidal input current and unity effective power factor are realised based on the estimated source voltage in the controller. The estimations of source voltage are performed based on the reduced-order Luenberger observer using actual currents. The estimated source voltage is used to accomplish unity power factor. The proposed method is proved by simulations

  • Power packet (PP) distribution system distributes power to different loads that share the same distribution cable in a packetized form. When compared with conventional power systems, a PP distribution system (PPDS) can reduce standby power, eliminate Point-of-Load (PoL) power conversion, and intelligently control the load demand from the source side. Due to the absence of PoL conversion, when multiple power sources at different voltage levels and conditioning requirements jointly send power to various loads at different voltage ratings, the generated voltage has an irregular shape. A large filter at each of the load sides is required to reduce such a large voltage ripple. In this paper, a single-inductor, multiple-input-single-output converter structure based multiple-energy-source mixer is proposed. It combines PP generation, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of renewable energy sources (RESs) and filtering at the source side. To demonstrate the possible renewable energy integration, a PV panel is used as a power source together with other constant voltage sources. The PV power is approximately tracked using the constant voltage method and it is used for each of the PP generations. The proposed PP distribution system is experimentally verified and it is shown that a conventional PI controller is sufficient for stable system operation.

공간좌표로 사상된 GCC 함수의 다 음원에 대한 해석과 음원 위치 추정 방법 (Spatially Mapped GCC Function Analysis for Multiple Source and Source Localization Method)

  • A variety of methods for sound source localization have been developed and applied to several applications such as noise detection system, surveillance system, teleconference system, robot auditory system and so on. In the previous work, we proposed the sound source localization using the spatially mapped GCC functions based on TDOA for robot auditory system. Performance of the proposed one for the noise effect and estimation resolution was verified with the real environmental experiment under the single source assumption. However, since multi-talker case is general in human-robot interaction, multiple source localization approaches are necessary. In this paper, the proposed localization method under the single source assumption is modified to be suitable for multiple source localization. When there are two sources which are correlated, the spatially mapped GCC function for localization has three peaks at the real source locations and imaginary source location. However if two sources are uncorrelated, that has only two peaks at the real source positions. Using these characteristics, we modify the proposed localization method for the multiple source cases. Experiments with human speeches in the real environment are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed method for multiple source localization. In the experiments, mean value of estimation error is about $1.4^{\circ}$ and percentage of multiple source localization is about 62% on average.

1-Steiner 트리 알고리즘을 응용한 시간 지향 배선 방법 (Timing-Driven Routing Method by Applying the 1-Steiner Tree Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 1-Steiner 휴리스틱 알고리즘을 응용하여 단일 소스 네트와 다중 소스 네트를 배선하는 두 가지 시간 지향(timing-driven) 배선 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은1-Steiner 휴리스틱 알고리즘의 계산값 (cost)을 지연시간으로 수정한 것으로 이 방법의 특징은 모든 터미널이 임계터미널인 경우와 또 임계터미널이 부분적으로 존재하는 경우의 단일 소스 네트와 다중 소스 네트를 배선하는 데 동시 적용할 수 있다는 점이다. 실험결과 단일 소스를 배선하는 알고리즘은 기존의 SERT와 SERT-C에 비해 지연시간이 각각 평균 2.1%, 10.6% 감소하는 성능을 보였다. 그리고 다중 소스를 배선하는 알고리즘은 기존의 MCMD A-tree 알고리즘과 비교했을 때 모든 소스, 터미널 쌍이 임계쌍(critical pair)일 경우는 최대 지연 시간이 평균 2.7% 증가했지만 부분적인 임계쌍이 존재할 때는 최대 지연 시간이 평균 1.4% 감소하는 유사한 결과를 도출한다.

  • For compensating the a.c voltage variations of single-phase micro-source, micro-source system with a voltage compensator is proposed. Single phase p-q algorithm for calculating the a.c voltage variations of the micro-source is used. The effectiveness of the proposed the system is verified by the PSIM simulation in the steady state and transient state.

Modified RCC MPPT Method for Single-stage Single-phase Grid-connected PV Inverters

  • In this study, a modified ripple correlation control (RCC) maximum-power point-tracking (MPPT) algorithm is proposed for a single-stage single-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) on a grid-connected photovoltaic system (GCPVS). Unlike classic RCC methods, the proposed algorithm does not require high-pass and low-pass filters or the increment of the AC component filter function in the voltage control loop. A simple arithmetic mean function is used to calculate the average value of the photovoltaic (PV) voltage, PV power, and PV voltage ripples for the MPPT of the RCC method. Furthermore, a high-accuracy and high-precision MPPT is achieved. The performance of the proposed algorithm for the single-stage single-phase VSI GCPVS is investigated through simulation and experimental results.

Avalanche Hot Source Method for Separated Extraction of Parasitic Source and Drain Resistances in Single Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors

  • Separate extraction of source ($R_S$) and drain ($R_D$) resistances caused by process, layout variations and long term degradation is very important in modeling and characterization of MOSFETs. In this work, we propose "Avalanche Hot-Source Method (AHSM)" for simple separated extraction of $R_S$ and $R_D$ in a single device. In AHSM, the high field region near the drain works as a new source for abundant carriers governing the current-voltage relationship in the MOSFET at high drain bias. We applied AHSM to n-channel MOSFETs as single-finger type with different channel width/length (W/L) combinations and verified its usefulness in the extraction of $R_S$ and $R_D$. We also confirmed that there is a negligible drift in the threshold voltage ($V_T$) and the subthreshold slope (SSW) even after application of the method to devices under practical conditions.

회전하는 동기 좌표계 d-q 변환을 이용한 단상 능동 전력 필터의 새로운 제어기 (A New Controller of Single Phase Active Power Filter Using Rotating Synchronous Frame d-q Transformation)

  • 회전하는 동기 좌표계 d-q 변환을 이용한 단상 능동 전력 필터의 새로운 제어기를 제안하였다. 힐버트 변환기를 사용하여 $90{\circ}$의 위상차를 가지는 두 개의 교류 신호를 만든다. 이 신호들을 회전하는 동기 좌표계 d-q 변환을 이용하여 기본파 성분을 직류로 변환할 수 있고 따라서 고조파 검출이 용이하다. 순시 유효 전력의 평균값을 구한다. 역률 보상을 하므로 전원 전류는 전원 전압과 동위상이다. 단상에서의 전력 공식으로부터 전원 전류의 크기를 알 수 있다. 능동 전력 필터의 보상 전류의 기준 신호는 전원 전류의 기준신호에서 부하 전류를 빼주면 구할 수 있다. 새롭게 제안된 제어기에 히스테리시스 전류 제어기를 적용하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. 능동 전력 필터가 부하전류의 고조파와 무효전력을 보상하여 전원 전류가 전원전압과 동위상이 되고 전원전류가 정현파에 가깝게 되는 것을 확인하였다. 힐버트 변환기는 전대역 여파기를 사용하여 구현하였다.
