기존의 얼굴 인식 기술은 얼굴 검출과 얼굴 인식이라는 두 분야로 나뉘며, 얼굴 검출 기술은 주로 얼굴 인식을 위한 전처리 단계로 이용되었다. 이러한 얼굴 검출 기술은 방대한 양의 사진 콘텐츠를 분류하는 것에도 이용될 수 있다. 얼굴 검출 기술을 통해 사람이 있는 경우 인물 사진, 없는 경우 풍경 사진으로 분류한다. 그러나 기존의 얼굴 검출 기술만으로는 정확성이 떨어진다. 이를 보완하기 위해 본 논문에서는 사진의 구조 단순도 알고리즘을 제안 한다. 구조 단순도는 사진의 색상 구도의 단순비율을 의미하며, 일반적으로 인물 사진일 때 작은 값을 풍경 사진일 때 큰 값을 갖는다. 제안 방법의 유용성을 검증하기 위해 인물 사진 250장, 풍경 사진 250장을 이용하여 분류 실험을 하였다. 얼굴 검출 기술만을 이용한 실험은 66%의 정확성을 나타낸 반면 얼굴 검출 기술과 구조 단순도를 이용한 실험은 74.6%를 나타내었다. 따라서 얼굴 검출 기술과 구조 단순도를 이용하면 효과적인 사진 분류를 할 수 있다.

This study examined how the characteristics of abstractive form among various contenporary housing architecture have been expressed. The conclusions were: First, abstractive characteristics and types related to from expression of contemporary housing architectures were minimal form and absolute form of geometrical abstraction, plastic form and atypical form of expressive abstraction and mechanical aesthetics of industrial abstraction. Second, the typological form expression characteristics in minimal expression related to geometrical abstraction were simplicity, purity, and the properties of matter, and the characteristics in absolute expression were overlapping, obliqueness and dispensability. On the other hand, plasticity and mobility of materials were distinctive in plastic form expression, and inclination, curve and asymmetry were distinctive in atypical expression. The distinctive nature of mechanical aesthetics related to industrial abstraction included transparency, simplicity and. the properties of matter Funhermore, the study aimed at the understanding of various from expressions showed up in contemporary housing architecture, revealing the aspects of abstractive form expression characteristics.

In this study, we will analyze the artistic character of Jogakbo as a element of fashion art design. Korean traditional Jogakbo is a common homemade item made from clothing remnants and is a part of the culture of women�s quarters. Currently, Jogakbo is higly regarded for its artistic value and it finds a variety of uses in fashion. In particular, it is striking how its modern-style geometric lines and color composition are congruous with abstract art. In applying Jogakbo to fashion art design, we study the artistic expression of Jogakbo in 4 aspects; namely, line, color, material, and technique; and analyze the 4 artistic characteristics; beauty of naivety, simplicity, moderation and freedom. 8 dresses designed based on these 4 characteristics are presented as examples.

Characters consist of non-digital characters and digital characters. Digital characters consist of general digital characters and web characters. The web characters is important in the rate of web site and web contents. But there is nothing about studies of web character. This study explain a definition, concept and property of the web character, suggest the correlation of web character preference and property of web character in korea web site. The properts of web character are simplicity, sympathy and originality. By results of this study, sympathy and originality of web character have relations with preference of web character. But simplicity of character has not relations with that. This study will do much for making the web character.

The numerical solution to the linear and nonlinear and linear system of Fredholm and Volterra integral equations of the second kind are investigated. We have used crooked lines which includ the nodes specified by modified rationalized Haar functions. This method differs from using nominal Haar or Walsh wavelets. The accuracy of the solution is improved and the simplicity of the method of using nominal Haar functions is preserved. In this paper, the crooked lines with unknown coefficients under the specified conditions change the system of integral equations to a system of equations. By solving this system the unknowns are obtained and the crooked lines are determined. Finally, error analysis of the procedure are considered and this procedure is applied to the numerical examples, which illustrate the accuracy and simplicity of this method in comparison with the methods proposed by these authors.

For a given $C^{*}$-dynamical system (A, G, .alpha.) with a G-simple $C^{*}$-algebra A (that is A has no proper .alpha.-invariant ideal) many authors have studied the simplicity of a $C^{*}$-crossed product A $x_{\alpha{r}}$ G. In [1] topological freeness of an action is shown to guarantee the simplicity of the reduced $C^{*}$-crossed product A $x_{\alpha{r}}$ G when A is G-simple. In this paper we investigate the pure infiniteness of a simple $C^{*}$-crossed product A $x_{\alpha}$ G of a purely infinite simple $C^{*}$-algebra A and a topologically free action .alpha. of a finite group G, and find a sufficient condition in terms of the action on the spectrum of the multiplier algebra M(A) of A. Showing this we also prove that some extension of a topologically free action is still topologically free.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Chanel design and her Costume jewelry in 1920's-1930's through documentary studies. According to the study the result was as follows: 1. Chanel's esthetic in the field of Fashion Design bore the double stamp of "elegance" and 'simplicity' 2. Chanel changed the concept of costume jewelry. Chanel's great innovation was that she let 'fake' jewels always keep the intrinsic value of 'real' ones. 3. The simplicity of her perfectly tailored suit was Paradoxically overwhelmed by a fan-tastic array of jewels. The relationhship be-tween Chanel design and her costume jewelry was not able to be seperated. Chanel was a fashion leader fifty years ago and the name "Chanel" will be at the forefornt of fashon fifty years from now. The image of quality will always remain the same in the futures.

Conventional current transformers possess many qualities due their simplicity. However, the technological innovations now underway in the field of switchgear and substation control systems tends to underline their drawbacks. New technologies must be developed to provide users with better service quality in terms of precision, operating safety and interoperability. The current transformer presented combines simplicity and the high degree of precision offered by Rogowski coils with the processing possibilities of digital electronics.

A Switched Reluctance Generator attracts much attention in the generator because of high efficiency, simplicity, and ruggedness. However, they require rotor position information to operate. In many systems, the rotor position sensor is expensive, limited and undesirable. This paper describes a new approach to estimating the rotor position of a SRG from the measured terminal voltage and current for rotor position sensorless control. The proposed method Is based on the instantaneous inductance of the SRG. The proposed technique is very simple and it is able to apply to high speed operation under the stable condition because of its simplicity. The initial rotor position estimation algorithm is efficient and reliable. The proposed method is verified by computer simulation.
