  • Using aged Wistar rat living body change by aging CheongSimYeonJaTang was each orally administrated and achieved research about aging control. In Wistar rat 10, 30, 50 week and 40 week CheongSimYeonJaTang between 10 weeks form condition change of weight, change of intestine weight, hematology, blood chemistry, research result about serum content following conclusion get. 1. Observed gain in weight than control group form of CheongSimYeonJaTang to aged Wistar rat. 2. Is thought to promote activation of living body action gaining intestine weight along with gain in weight. 3. Displayed decrease of MDA's content of serum than control group form of CheongSimYeonJaTang to aged Wistar rat. 4. Change that is Wistar rat's hematological value by aging according to 10, 30, 50 week WBC, RBC, Hgb, monocytes, eosinophil etc. increase, and HCT, PLT etc. showed tendency that decrease according to old-week, and observed improvement that is hematological value than control group form of CheongSimYeonJaTang. 5. Change that is Wistar rat's biochemical value by aging was measured highest in 50 week because ALT, AST, BUN, CRN, T-bili., T-chol, TG, TP, ALB, A/G, P etc. increase according to 10, 30, 50 week, and observed improvement that is biochemical value than control group form of CheongSimYeonJaTang. Is considered by being effect that CheongSimYeonJaTang living body function decline by aging by this result.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the characteristics of the blindness of Sim Bongsa, Sim Cheong's father, in Sim Cheong Jeon (the story of Sim Cheong). This is one of the representative works about the filial piety in Korea. This article regards the story as the process of restoring the sight of the father and tries to examine the cause and the timing of his blindness to make its diagnosis in the psychoanalytic perspective. The predominant characteristics of Sim Bongsa were very dependent and irresponsible. He was so unqualified to be a head of a family. He sought to close his eyes toward reality in his unconsciousness. His blindness can be diagnosed as a case of psychogenic hysteria, conversion disorder. The fact that he suddenly could see when the empress turned out to be his own daughter, Cheong, can be a meaningful proof for this diagnosis. It means that his symptom of blindness disappeared when he realized a new reality which ensures a comfortable and easy-going life for himself.

  • This study analyzed major cities of Chung-cheong area in Korea, -Daejeon($36^{\circ}11'{\sim}36^{\circ}30'\;N$, $127^{\circ}15'{\sim}127{\circ}34'\;E$), Chungju($36^{\circ}54'{\sim}37{\circ}02'\;N$, $127^{\circ}52'{\sim}128^{\circ}02'\;E$), and Cheongju($36^{\circ}34'{\sim}36^{\circ}44'\;N$, $127^{\circ}22'{\sim}127^{\circ}34'\;E$)- their characteristics as a Information Site. The geology map, a summit level map, and a drainage network map are created and analyzed the Site. The results are as follows : First, the geology of these cities are related with the shapes and the characteristics of the inner basins. The relief of inner basin determines by the characteristics of the bedrocks. Second, the major cities are close to rivers and the size of the granite & alluvium area influences the relief energy of the urban areas. Finally, the drainage networks explains the process involved in forming the basin and development of urban area.

  • Daily and seasonal variations of the ambient gamma ray exposure rates were measured by using a pressurized ion chamber from January 2003 to December 2005 in the CheongJu Regional Radiation Monitoring Post and the patterns of the distributions were studied. The annual average of the daily variation of the exposure rate was $\sim0.17{\mu}R/h$. The exposure rate was found to be maximum during 8:00 am to 9:00 am and minimum during 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For the annual data, the exposure rate was the minimum during the month of February. The exposure rate increased from February to mid-October (except during the period from May to July with no change) and decreased from October to February. The seasonal variation was found to be about $1{\mu}R/h$. Most of the measured values (96%) of the exposure rates fell under the normal distribution with a deviation of less than 4.8% and the remaining 4% had large fluctuations caused mainly by the rainfalls.

  • Bakery food items distributed in Chung-cheong province Daejeon, Cheonan, and Cheongju) were studied to determine their contents of total crude fat and trans fatty acids (TFA). After fat extraction by the Folch method, methylation was carried out to analyze the fatty acid compositions by GC, using a SP-2560 column and flame ionization detector. The total fat contents of the foods were in the approximate range of 2$\sim$34%. The total fat contents of the items were as follows: whipping cream cake : 0.03$\sim$1.31 (g/100 g food), pastries = 0.21$\sim$2.64 (g/100 g food), cream puff = 0.09$\sim$0.43 (g/100 g food), croquette = 0.22$\sim$1.99 (g/100 g food), and glutinous rice doughnut = 0.03$\sim$0.38 (g/100 g food).

  • In order to elucidate the degradation of the herbicide bentazon (3-isopropyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4-one-2,2-dioxide) by soil microorganisms, it was incubated at $23{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ under the submerged and upland soil conditions of the different soils in the Chung Buk area. When bentazon (200 ppm) was incubated in Cheong Won A soil (silty loam; pH, 5.2; organic matter 1.4%) under the submerged condition for 6 months, 6-hydroxy bentazon (1.27%) was formed as the major degradation product and 8-hydroxy bentazon (0.57%) and anthranilic acid (0.13%) were formed as the minor ones. Meanwhile, when 500 ppm of bentazon was incubated in the same soil for 2 months, a trace amount of 6-hydroxy bentazon was formed. Eight strains of microorganisms isolated from the soils did not give any distinct degradation products in the pure culture experiment. The greater dehydrogenase activity in Cheong Won A soil than in Cheong Ju A soil might be related to the greater bentazon-degradability of the former soil than that of the latter. When bentazon (10 ppm) was incubated for 14 days with 14 strains of bacteria and 8 strains of fungi, the identities of which were all known, Rhizopus stolonifer produced 4.6${\sim}$31.6% of anthranilic acid as the major product from batch to batch, with trace amounts of 6-hydroxy bentazon and 8-hydroxy bentazon as minor products. The rest microorganisms did not produce any noticeable products.
