새만금 간척지에서 석고, 팽화왕겨 및 제올라이트 처리가 토양 중 양이온 함량에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Gypsum, Popped Rice Hulls and Zeolite on Contents of Cation in Reclaimed Tideland Soils in Mangyeong)

  • 본 연구는 간척지 토양 중 미사질양토에 대하여 입단형성을 위해 가해진 토양개량제가 토양 중 양이온 함량변화에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 토양개량제로 이수석고 1550 (G1), 3100 (G2), 6200 (G3) kg/10 a, 팽화왕겨 1000 (H1), 2000 (H2), 3000 (H3) kg/10 a, 팽화왕겨 1500 kg/10 a에 zeolite 200 (HZ1), 400 (HZ2), 800 (HZ3) kg/10 a가 되도록 처리량을 달리하여 3년간 연용시용하고, 버뮤다그래스를 재배한 토양을 60, 90, 120일 경과 후 채취하여 토양개량제 연용이 토양 중 양이온 함량변화에 미치는 결과를 보고한다. 이수석고의 처리는 토양 중 K, Na, Mg의 함량을 현저히 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. K 함량은 연용 토양개량제의 종류 및 처리수준과 관계없이 년도별 감소현상이 뚜렷하여서 2004 > 2005 > 2006 순으로 낮아지는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한 각 년도별 토양 중 K 함량은 안정적 변화를 보이면서 이수석고 < 팽화왕겨 < 팽화왕겨+zeolite 순으로 토양 중 K 함량이 높았다. Na 함량은 이수석고 < 팽화왕겨 < 팽화왕겨+zeolite의 순으로 연용 토양개량제의 종류 및 처리수준과 관계없이 각 년도에서에서 높게 나타났다. 특히 팽화왕겨 및 팽화왕겨+zeolite의 각각 처리는 이수석고 처리구와는 달리 대조구의 Na 함량 보다 높아지고 있는 현상이 계화도 세사양토의 결과와 비교가 되었다. Mg 함량은 년도별 변화는 이 수석고 < 팽화왕겨+zeolite < 팽화왕겨 순으로 높아지고, 연용기간이 길수록 높아지는 경향이었다. 이수석고 연용처리는 세사양토에서 보여준 결과와 유사하게 처리수준이 높을수록 토양 중 Ca이 높아지는 결과가 되었으며, 년도별 변화도 2004 < 2005 < 2006년의 순으로 연용년수에 따라 높아졌다.

양송이의 균사생장(菌絲生長) 및 자실체(子寶體) 수량(收量)에 미치는 복토재료(覆土材料)의 이화학적(理化學的) 성질(性質)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Physico-Chemical Characteristics of Different Casing Materials Affecting Mycelial Growth and Yield of Cultivated Mushroom, Agaricus bisporus (Lange) Sing.)

  • Since the importance of casing in fruit body formation of Agaricus bisporus has been emphasized, physico-chemical characteristics of casing materials were discussed by many workers and a mixture of peat and mineral soil as proper casing material has been adopted in many of mushroom growing countries. Because of limited resources of peat in Korea, it is necessary to find practical performance and substitutional materials for casing. The effect of casing on mycelial growth and mushroom yield of A. bisporus varied with materials, its combination and practices etc. The experiments to be discussed in this paper are concerned with pH and Ca of casing material which influence A bisporus, and changes of physico-chemical characteristics with mixing ratio of casing materials and its effect on A. bisporus. The optimum range of moisture content of each material, management of watering and application of physico-chemical characteristics casing materials was also investigated and re-use of weathered spent compost for casing material was described. 1. The effect of calcium on mycelial growth of A. bisporus at various pH in Halbschalentest showed different results with calcium sources. Best results were obtained around neutrality and fresh weight of fruit bodies grown in the range of pH 7 to 8 was highest among the tested levels. 2. Available moisture, pore space, organic matter, cation exchangeable capacity and exchangeable cation was increased by an increase of mixing ratio of peat in casing materials, while an adverse effect was obtained by addition of sand. 3. Mycelial growth on clay loam was more rapid at a lower bulk density of 0.75g/cc and at 20% moisture content on a dry weight basis at the same bulk density. 4. Mixing ratio of casing materials, 60 to 80 per cent by volume of peat mixed with 20 to 40 per cent of clay loam produced the highest yield of fresh fruit bodies and sand the lowest. However, per cent of open cap was highest in peat and lowest in sand. 5. Days required for fruit body initiation was shortened in mixtures of peat and clay loam by one to three days compared with other materials and the formation of flushes was clear. 6. The effect of some physico-chemical characteristics of casing materials on the fresh weight of fruit bodies were estimated by a multiple regression equation; Y=-923.86+$8.18X_1+8.04X_2+7.90X_3+0.12X_4+2.03X_5-0.82X_6-0.54X_7$ where $X_1,X_2,X_3,X_4,X_5,X_6,X_7$ are sand, silt, clay, available moistuer, porosity, organic matter and exchangeable cation respectively. The productivity of certain casing material could be predicted from this equation. 7. Fresh weight of fruit bodies was positively correlated with porosity exchangeable cation, organic matter, available moisture, silt and clay of materials; while sand was negatively correlated. On the contrary, sand was the unique factor reducing per cent of open cap. 8. Distribution of three phases of high productive casing material was concentrated in the range of 10 to 30 per cent solids, 15 to 30 per cent liquids, and 50 to 60 per cent in air volume. 9. Fresh weight of fruit bodies from peat was not affected with heavy watering but in clay loam and sandy loam severe crop losses occurred. Fresh weight of individual fruit was increased and open caps were decreased with heavy watering but light watering resulted in adverse effects: its effect was especially great in peat. 10. Optimum range of moisture content by weight on a dry basis was different with each casing material. To maintain optimum moisture content concerned with yield of fruit bodies and open cap, sandy loam and peat mixtures required daily watering of 0.6, 0.6 to 1. 2 and 1.2 to 2.4 liters per $3.3m^2$ of bed area, respectively. 11. Maximum yield of fruit body was recorded in the range of pF 2. 0 to 2. 5 of casing materials if organic matter content was below 4.2 per cent and in pF 1. 3 to 1.8 if above 7.1%. 12. pF curve of a certain casing material could be draws from moisture content at various pF values by multiple regression equations provided texture, organic matter and calcium of the casing material are given. Optimum moisture range of the casing materials also could be estimated by the equation. 13. It was possible to improve the phyico-chemical characteristics of clay loam and sandy loam by addition of weathered spent compost although the effect was less than in the case of peat. Fresh weight of fruit bodies wsa increased by addition of weathered spent compost but its effect was not as remarkable as peat. Accordingly, further studies will be required.

아산만지역 충적점토의 토질특성에 관한 연구(II) (Studies on the Engineering Characteristics of Alluvial Clayey Deposits in the Bay Area of Asan (II))

  • This study was conducted to investigate the various engineering properties and correlationshops among the soil constants of alluvial clayey deposits distributed in the bay of Asan and their results are summarized as follows : 1. Grain size distribution of soil was consisted of 12 % of clay, 46-73 % of silt, 2-23 % of sand, and as for the consistency characteristics, 26-36 % of liquid limit, 18-21 % of plastic limit and 6-16 % of plastic index, and so the soil belonging to as a lower plastic nonorganic clay, it's specific gravity was 2,66-2.70, and the location on the plastic chart was approximately above the A-line. Z The natural moisture content and unit weight were 30-43 % and 1.76-1.87 g I cm$_3$, respectively, and according to increment of natural moisture content, the unit weight was decreased, and the initial void ratio and degree of saturation were shown of 0,87-1119 and 92- 100 %, most of saturated. 3. Cone resistance value which was shown 2.4 - 6.5 kg / $cm^2$ was a little lower and it was increased with the depth of layer and shown the formular $q_c=0.7_z+1.32$. 4. Unconfined compression strength was about 0.18-0.43kg /$cm^2$, cu, 0.1-0.22kg / $\psi$, $2-6^{\circ}$ under uu-test condition of triaxial, and CCU, 0.08-0.3 kg/cm , $\psi$, $12-18^{\circ}$ under the condition of cu-test. 5. Pre-consolidation load of characteristics of consolidation was 0.4-0.8 kg / $cm^2$, compression index, about 0.17-0.33. 6. Liquid limit and plastic index were incresased with the increment of clay content but most of alluvial clay was appeared as a normal through non-activity clay soil shown more natural moisture content than liquid limit, and their relationship as follows : LL=0.38( cy+54.8), PI=0.836(LL -17.8), PI =0.468(LL -0.48) 7. The initial void ratio presented correlationship of positive among clay content, natural moisture content and liquid limit, and that of reverse with unit weight, and their results as follws : $e_o=0.024(w_n+0.2)$, $e_o=e_o=0.0003c_y+0.0005 LL+0.0151 W_n+\frac{3.58}{r-t}-1.52$ 8. It was shown that the compression index has correlationship of postive among the clay content, liquid limit, plastic index, natural moisture content and initial void ratio, and their relationships as follows ; $c_c=0.44(e_o-0.47)$, $c_c=0.001$

경남지역의 토양 및 농작물중 게르마늄 함량 (Germanium Contents of Soil and Crops in Gyeongnam Province)

  • 양질의 기능성 농산물 생산을 위하여 게르마늄의 농업적 이용에 대한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 경남지역의 토양을 중심으로 지역, 지형, 토양유형 및 토성별 게르마늄 함량과 자연상태에서 재배한 농작물별 게르마늄 함량을 조사하여 그 분포특성을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 토양중 게르마늄 함량을 분석한 결과 경남지역 논 토양 평균 함량은 0.24 mg/kg 이었고, 마산시, 진주시 및 하동군 지역이 0.30 mg/kg 이상으로 높았다. 지형별로는 홍적대지가 0.26 mg/kg으로 약간 높았으나 지형에 따른 큰 차이는 없었다. 토양유형별 게르마늄 함량은 보통답이 0.27 mg/kg으로 사질답과 습답에 비하여 높았으며, 토성별로는 미사질양토가 0.27 mg/kg으로 비교적 높았다. 일반농작물중 게르마늄 함량은 곡류>채소류>과일류 순으로 높았고, 쌀과 보리는 각각 약 68 및 $48{\mu}g/kg$의 게르마늄을 함유하고 있었으며, 단감과 배는 각각 약 11 및 $23{\mu}g/kg$으로 전반적으로 낮은 수준이었다. 채소류중 게르마늄 함량은 엽채류>근채류>과채류 순으로 높았으며 특히 상추와 열무중 게르마늄 함량이 각각 약 62 및 $65{\mu}g/kg$으로서 높았다. 약용작물중 게르마늄 함량은 신선초(Angelica keiskei), 토천궁(Ligusticum chuanxiong), 인삼(Panax ginseng), 삽주(Atractylodes macrocephala), 백지(Angelica dahurica), 맥문동(Liriope platyphylla) 및 도라지(Platycodon grandiflorum)에서 $100{\mu}g/kg$ 이상으로 게르마늄 함량이 높았으며, 선학초(Agrimonia pilosa) 및 일당귀(Angelica acutiloba)의 함량은 각각 37 및 $30{\mu}g/kg$으로 낮았다.

농지연못습지의 수질 및 토양환경 분석 (The Analysis of Water and Soil Environment at Farm Pond Depression)

  • This study was conducted to understand the water and soil properties to propose the promotion of vegetation environment at farm pond depression. We selected 8 palustrine wetlands from agricultural area after consideration of human interference, surround land use, and size of area. Water quality analysis showed that the average SS, T-N, T-P were over the limit of agricultural water quality standard level at some sites. The cause for deterioration of water quality is supposed by the long-term stagnation of water in palustrine wetland. The recommended measures to improve water quality are as follows; improving water circulation by connecting with nearby natural water, preventing oxygen depletion by dredging deposit, lowering down T-N and T-P by removing autumn plants, preventing inflow of phosphorus in fertilizer ingredients which is the main cause for high T-P. The soil contamination of the surveyed area was about the same level of average heavy metal contents in soils from 2,010 paddy fields in Korea, which was much lower than soil contamination standards. As for soil texture, sand content was 40~90% and clay content was less than 20%. The content of silt and clay in soil from community of floating-leaved:submerged hydrophytes and community of emergent hydrophytes was higher that of soil from community of hygrophytes, and the content of sand in soil from community of hygrophytes was 10% higher than underwater soil. In terms of bulk density, the average was 0.24~0.96g/$cm^3$, which was quite low, because of high content of peat and organic matter in soil of the surveyed area. As for the average content of organic matter, community of floating-leaved:submerged hydrophytes was 18.25g/kg, community of emergent hydrophytes was 16.88g/kg, and community of hydrophytes was 25.63g/kg. The range of content of T-N in soil of community of floating-leaved;submerged hydrophytes was 0.022~0.307%, and that of community of emergent hydrophytes was 0.029~0.681% and that of community of hydrophytes was 0.088~0.325%. Apart from three sites in the surveyed area, most parts were over the standards or below the standard. After this study, we will conduct and discuss the relationship between vegetation characteristics and environments, which will be used of the best practical management and restoration of wetland.

  • 화강암(花崗岩), 화강편마암(花崗片麻岩), 석회암(石灰岩), 혈암(頁岩), 현무암등(玄武岩等) 우리나라 주요(主要) 모암(母岩)에서 발달(發達)된 토양(土壤)을 대상(對象)으로하여 조암광물(造岩鑛物)로 부터 토양점토광물(土壤粘土鑛物)의 생성과정(生成過程)을 밝히기 위해 모래와 미사입자(微砂粒子)의 화학적(化學的) 조성변화(組成變化)와 1차광물(次鑛物)의 동정(同定)과 분포(分布), 그리고 광물학적(鑛物學的) 특성변화(特性變化) 단계(段階)를 조사연구(調査硏究)하였던 바 그 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 모래와 미사(微砂)의 화학적(化學的) 조성(組成)은 조암광물(造岩鑛物)에서 유래(由來)된 풍화(風化)에 저항성(抵抗性)이 큰 석영(石英)과 풍화(風化)가 용이(容易)한 철고토광물 및 석회광물(石灰鑛物)의 양(量)에 따라 크게 변(變)하였다. 2. 화강암(花崗岩)과 화강편마암(花崗片麻岩) 유래(由來) 토양(土壤)의 모래와 미사(微砂)에서 주광물(主鑛物)은 석영(石英), 장석(長石), 운모(雲母), 그리고 소량(少量)의 각섬석(角閃石)과 녹이석외(綠泥石外)에 chlorite/vermiculite의 혼층광물(混層鑛物)이었으며 미사(微砂)에서 장석(長石)이 현저히 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)이었다. 3. 모래에서는 사장석(斜長石)의 가정적(假晶的) 변성작용(變成作用)에 의한 $7{\AA}$의 kaolin 광물(鑛物)이 동정(同定)되며 chlorite/vermiculite의 혼층광물(混層鑛物)은 녹이석(綠泥石)과 흑운모(黑雲母)로 부터 유래(由來)되는 것으로 판단(判斷)되었다. 4. 석회암(石灰岩) 유래(由來) 토양(土壤)의 모래와 미사(微砂)에는 석영(石英), 운모(雲母), 장석(長石), 녹이석외(綠泥石外)에 모암(母岩)에서 유래(由來)된 상당량(相當量)의 방해석(方解石)과 백운석(白雲石)이 존재(存在)하였다. 5. 혈암(頁岩) 유래(由來) 토양(土壤)의 모래와 미사(微砂)에서 주광물(主鑛物)은 석영(石英), 장석(長石), 운모(雲母), 녹이석(綠泥石)이었으며 토양발달정도(土壤發達程度)가 높은 부여통(扶餘統) 미사(微砂)에서는 장석(長石)과 녹이석(綠泥石)이 감소(減少)하였다. 6. 현무암(玄武岩) 잔적토(殘積土)(구엄통)의 모래와 미사(微砂)에서는 모암(母岩)에서 유래(由來)된 사장석(斜長石)과 휘석외(輝石外)에 외부(外部)로 부터 첨가(添加)된 것으로 보이는 석영(石英)과 운모(雲母)가 존재(存在)하였다.

충남 서산 대로리 일대 토양 내 석면의 광물학적 특성 (Mineralogical Characterization of Asbestos in Soil at Daero-ri, Seosan, Chungnam, Korea)

  • 최근 석면의 효과적인 관리를 위해 산업적 이용 규제 및 석면포함물질 처리 뿐 아니라 자연발생석면의 이해와 정화 필요성도 제기되고 있다. 그러나 국내에서 암석 내 산출되는 자연발생석면의 특성이나 풍화작용을 거쳐 토양 내 잔류하는 자연발생석면에 대한 기존 연구는 미비한 상황이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 변성퇴적암류가 기반암인 충남 서산 대로리 일대의 토양 내 자연발생석면의 존재를 확인하고 석면형(asbestiform) 광물의 산출양상 및 광물학적 특성을 통해 석면오염토양의 효과적인 정화 방안에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 토양의 입도 분리 및 광물학적 분석을 실시한 결과, 토양 내 무게 백분율은 모래가 26~93%, 미사가 4~23%, 점토가 3~70%이며, 토성은 사토(sand), 사양토(sandy loam), 사질 식토(sandy clay), 식토(clay) 등 다양하게 나타났다. 연구 결과 모든 시료에서 석면형 투각섬석과 석면형 양기석이 함께 산출되었고 석면의 함량은 평균 1.5%로 미국 EPA 기준(1% 이상)에 따라 석면 포함물질로 분류되었다. 모래에 존재하는 투각섬석은 벽개가 발달한 주상 형태로 평균 길이 $288{\mu}m$, 폭 $69{\mu}m$, 종횡비 4.1:1의 특징을 보인 반면, 미사에 존재하는 투각섬석은 평균 길이 $49.2{\mu}m$, 폭 $5.8{\mu}m$로 크기는 더 작고 종횡비가 8.5:1인 개별섬유 형태로 나타났다. 이는 투각섬석이 풍화작용을 받으면서 종횡비는 커지고 형태는 비산이 가능한 개별 섬유로 바뀐 것으로 사료된다. $5{\mu}m$ 이상 크기의 석면형 투각섬석과 석면형 양기석의 함량은 토양 중 미사에서 가장 높게 나타났으며 이를 통해 석면오염토양 정화 시 입도 분리를 이용한 선택적인 석면 제거의 가능성을 확인하였다.

북동태평양 클라리온-클리퍼톤 지역 심해저 표층 퇴적물의 지질공학적 특성 연구 (A Study on Geotechnical Properties of Deep-sea Sediments in Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone of NE Pacific)

  • Deep-sea surface sediments were collected using a multiple corer at 20 stations of Clarion-Clipperton fracture zone in the northeast equatorial Pacific to understand latitudinal and longitudinal variations of geotechnical properties. There was a distinct latitudinal variation of geotechnical properties in the study area. The northern sediments showed finer grain size, lower water content and porosity, higher bulk density and specific grain density, lower liquid limits and plastic limits than their southern counterparts. The northern sediments are classified into inorganic clays of low plasticity (fat clays) on plasticity charts and normal to active clay on activity chart, whereas, the southern sediments are classified into fine-grained, highly-plastic, inorganic and biogenic silt or organic clays on plasticity chart and normal to very active clay on activity chart. When shear strength are considered, the northern sediments were found to be in unconsolidated states, while the southern ones to be normal to over-consolidated states. These latitudinal variations in sediment characteristics are likely caused by differences in productivity of surface water that controls sediment compositions, sedimentation rates, and grain solubility.

Biopile의 현장적용을 위한 유류오염토양의 생분해율 평가

  • Batch experiments were performed to determine optimum conditions for biopile. The batch experiments results showed that 12.5 to 17.9% of moisture content was effective to biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbon regardless of soil texture. Total heterotrophic bacteria populations in the inoculum-treated soil were greater than of the control and nutrient-amended soil in the early stage, but the populations in the inoculum and nutrient-amended soil were not different significantly from those in the latter stage regardless of soil texture. The same trend was observed for petroleum hydrocarbon degrading bacteria populations. The results of the biodegradation capacity experiments showed that there was a decline in the TPH concentrations during the experiments and no significant difference on the biodegradation was observed by treatment in silt soil. Changes of n-C17/pristane and n-C18/phytane ratios in all treated soil were significantly more than those of control. This is a strong indication of biodegradation. The TPH removal rate was calculated at 60% in all treated soil.

해수담수화 전처리공정 비교 및 적용 방법 (Comparison and application method of seawater desalination pre-treatment process)

  • Reverse osmosis seawater desalination facilities can extend the cleaning cycle and replacement time of the reverse osmosis membrane by pretreatment process. Selection of pretreatment process depends on water quality. It was attempted in this study to select approriate pretreatment process for the Masan bay, which was high in particles and organic content. For this purpose, performances of pretreatment processes such as filter adsorber (FA), pore controllable fiber (PCF), and ultrafiltration (UF) were compared based on the silt density index (SDI). The SDI value of the filtrate should be less than 3. The study results showed that UF can produce the filtrate quality satisfying the requirement. However, the transmembrane pressure (TMP) of UF increased quickly, reaching 0.6 bar within 4 days. In order to secure stable operation, FA and PCF were combined with UF. The study results showed that combination of PCF and UF was able to extend the filtration duration (more than 2 months) until to reach TMP of 0.6 bar.
