Distributed compressed sensing (DCS) states that we can recover the sparse signals from very few linear measurements. Various studies about DCS have been carried out recently. In many practical applications, there is no prior information except for standard sparsity on signals. The typical example is the sparse signals have block-sparse structures whose non-zero coefficients occurring in clusters, while the cluster pattern is usually unavailable as the prior information. To discuss this issue, a new algorithm, called backtracking-based adaptive orthogonal matching pursuit for block distributed compressed sensing (DCSBBAOMP), is proposed. In contrast to existing block methods which consider the single-channel signal reconstruction, the DCSBBAOMP resorts to the multi-channel signals reconstruction. Moreover, this algorithm is an iterative approach, which consists of forward selection and backward removal stages in each iteration. An advantage of this method is that perfect reconstruction performance can be achieved without prior information on the block-sparsity structure. Numerical experiments are provided to illustrate the desirable performance of the proposed method.

In this paper, we propose a PAPR-minimized sequence mapping scheme that achieves the minimum Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and the minimum amount of computations for the OFDM system. To reduce the PAPR, the mapping table is created with information about block index and symbol patterns of the lower signal power. When the input data sequence comes, it performed division by the block length to find the quotient and remainder. The symbol pattern of the lower signal power can be found in terms of the block index as the quotient in the mapping table and transmitted with remainder as the side information to distinguish and recover the original data sequence in the receiver. The two methods with the proposed mapping scheme are proposed in this paper. One is with mapping table to recover the O%M signal in both transmitter and receiver. The other is with mapping table only in transmitter to reduce the load and the complexity in the mobile system. We show that this algorithm provides the PAPR reduction, the simple processing and less computational complexity to be implemented for the multi-carrier system.
We develop the signal processing method for adaptive implementing direction of signal and the frequency sensitivity of human visual system(HVS). Existing multiband energy scaling method makes ringing artifact because it does not consider signal direction. To solve this problem, we use block gradient for signal direction in addition to existing method. And we use the fact that frequency component of signal is more sensitive than value of signal over human eyes. we enhance the signal according to contrast sensitivity function(CSF) which is the model of frequency sensitivity of human eye. Compared that the existing analysis models only improve the efficiencies in the existing systems, the developed method can process the image signals to be more desirable and suitable to HVS.
In this paper, we only describe the digital block of two-channel 18-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter employing sigma-delta method and xl28 decimation. The device contains two fourth comb filters with 1-bit input from sigmadelta modulator. each followed by a digital half band FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filters. The external analog sigma-delta modulators are sampled at 6.144MHz and the digital words are output at 48kHz. The fourth-order comb filter has designed 3 types of ways for optimal power consumption and signal-to-noise ratio. The following 3 digital filters are designed with 12tap, 22tap and 116tap to meet the specification. These filters eliminate images of the base band audio signal that exist at multiples of the input sample rate. We also designed these filters with 8bit and 16bit filter coefficient to analysis signal-to-noise ratio and hardware complexity. It also included digital output interface block for I2S serial data protocol, test circuit and internal input vector generator. It is fabricated with 0.35um HYNIX standard CMOS cell library with 3.3V supply voltage and the chip size is 2000um by 2000um. The function and the performance have been verified using Verilog XL logic simulator and Matlab tool.

In this paper, we've studied Optical Fiber Subscribe Transmit system. After receiving the ATM cell passing through the FIFO of the Asynchronous Transfer Method from the ATM Layer images to the VC4 signal payload passing through scrambling of the cell payload, HEC computation of the cell and inserting the Idle/Unassigned cell. At this time formed VC4 signal passing through the generating and inserting POH overhead at the same time indicating the start point of the cell by the H4 byte on the VC4 POH. This ATM cell transmits 155Mbps speed changing the optical signal after outputting the frame format at the STM-1 signal generation block through the AUG bus after generating J1 of the VC4 start point at the AU4 pointer generation block.

This paper proposes a block-type classification based image binarization for the implementation of the low-power feature extraction algorithm. The proposed method can be implemented with threshold value re-use technique approach when the image divided into $64{\times}64$ macro blocks size and calculating the threshold value for each block type only once. The algorithm is validated based on quantitative results that only a threshold value change rate of up to 9% occurs within the same image/block type. Existing algorithms should compute the threshold value for 64 blocks when the macro block is divided by $64{\times}64$ on the basis of $512{\times}512$ images, but all suggestions can be made only once for best cases where the same block type is printed, and for the remaining 63 blocks, the adaptive threshold calculation can be reduced by only performing a block type classification process. The threshold calculation operation is performed five times when all block types occur, and only the block type separation process can be performed for the remaining 59 blocks, so 93% adaptive threshold calculation operation can be reduced.
Purpose: The algorithm described in Lim(1998) is available to determine the sample size directly given specified significance level, power and signal-to-noise ratio. We research on the efficient determination of the sample size by visual methods. Methods: We propose three graphs for investigating the mutual relationship between the sample size r, power $1-{\beta}$ and the detectable signal-to-noise ratio ${\Delta}$. First graph shows the relationship between ${\Delta}$ and $1-{\beta}$ for the given r and it can be checked whether the power is sufficient enough. Second graph shows the relationship between r and ${\Delta}$ for the given power $1-{\beta}$. Third graph shows the relationship between r and $1-{\beta}$ for the given ${\Delta}$. It can be checked that which effects are sensitive to the efficient sample size by investigating those graphs. Results: In factorial design, randomized block design and the split plot design how to determine the sample size directly given specified significance level, power and signal-to-noise ratio is programmed by using R. A experiment to study the split plot design in Hicks(1982) is used as an example. We compare the sample sizes calculated by randomized block design with those by split plot design. By using graphs, we can check the possibility of reducing the sample size efficiently. Conclusion: The proposed visual methods can help an engineer to make a proper plan to reduce the sample size.

In shallow water active sonar environment, reverberation which is a non-white noise is one of the main source of performance degradation of target detection. In this case, the received signal is whitened before applying matched filter known as an optimum filter in the presence of white noise. However implementation of this method is very difficult because of the non-stationary characteristic of reverberation. Traditionally reverberation is assumed local stationary. In this paper, we estimate a range of stationary of reverberation signal, and then propose a pre-whitening method which improve the performance of pre-whitening block normalized matched filter in presence of non-white reverberation noise. Proposed whitener shows better whitening performance than traditional whitener because it use later as well as before reverberation of target signal. To evaluate performance of the proposed whitener, an actual measurement data sampled at the East-Sea is used for computer simulation. The target detector with new whitener is shown better performance than detector with traditional whitener.
In this study, the block section length of the given area has been analyzed to improve the headway which caused by the mixed operation of high speed trains and normal trains on the electrified railway of Dongdaegu to Busan. After establishing the average length of block section and the adjustable average length of block section of Dongdaegu to Busan, it is possible to perform the headway simulation regarding the signal system based on the established length. Although high speed trains as well as low speed trains including freight trains operate together, the experimental results indicate that the modification of the block section length shows the possibility of the improvement of headway.
