Single crystal 3C-SiC (cubic silicon carbide) thin-films were deposited on Si(100) wafer up to the thickness of 4.3 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ by APCVD (atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition) method using HMDS (hexamethyildisilane; {CH$_{3}$}$_{6}$ Si$_{2}$) at 135$0^{\circ}C$. The HMDS flow rate was 0.5 sccm and the carrier gas flow rate was 2.5 slm. The HMDS flow rate was important to get a mirror-like crystal surface. The growth rate of the 3C-SiC film was 4.3 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/hr. The 3C-SiC epitaxial film grown on Si(100) wafer was characterized by XRD (X-ray diffraction), AFM (atomic force microscopy), RHEED (reflection high energy electron diffraction), XPS (X-ray photoelecron spectroscopy), and Raman scattering, respectively. Two distinct phonon modes of TO (transverse optical) near 796 $cm^{-1}$ / and LO (longitudinal optical) near 974$\pm$1 $cm^{-1}$ / of 3C-SiC were observed by Raman scattering measurement. The heteroepitaxially grown film was identified as the single crystal 3C-SiC phase by XRD spectra (2$\theta$=41.5。).).

We developed a method of growing thin Si film at $600^{\circ}C$ by hot wire CVD using a very thin large-grained poly-Si seed layer for thin-film Si solar cells. The seed layer was prepared by crystallizing an amorphous Si film by vapor-induced crystallization using $AlCl_3$ vapor. The average grain size of the p-type epitaxial Si layer was about $20{\mu}m$ and crystallographic defects in the epitaxial layer were mainly low-angle grain boundaries and coincident-site lattice boundaries, which are special boundaries with less electrical activity. Moreover, with a decreasing in-situ boron doping time, the mis-orientation angle between grain boundaries and in-grain defects in epitaxial Si decreased. Due to fewer defects, the epitaxial Si film was high quality evidenced from Raman and TEM analysis. The highest mobility of $360cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ was achieved by decreasing the in-situ boron doping time. The performance of our preliminary thin-film solar cells with a single-side HIT structure and $CoSi_2$ back contact was poor. However, the result showed that the epitaxial Si film has considerable potential for improved performance with a reduced boron doping concentration.

High quality monocrystalline $\beta$-SiC thin films were grown via two-step process of conversion of the Si(100) surface by reaction with $C_2H_4$ and the subsequent chemical vapor deposition (CVD) at $1360^{\circ}C$ and 1 atm total pressure. Four dopants, B and Al and p-type, and N and P for n-type, were also incorporated into monocrystalline $\beta$-SiC thin films during the CVD growth process. IR and Raman spectroscopies were used to evaluate the quality of the undoped $\beta$-SiC thin films and to investigate the effects of dopants on the structure of the doped $\beta$-SiC thin films. The changes in the shape of IR and Raman spectra of the doped thin films due to dopants were observed. But the XTEM micrographs except for the B-doped and annealed films showed the same density and distribution of stacking faults and dislocations as was seen in the undoped samples, The IR and Raman spectra of the B-doped and annealed films showed the broad and weak bands and one extra peak at the 850 $cm^{-1}$ respectively. The SAD pattern and XTEM micrograph of the B-doped and annealed film provided the evidence for twinning.

In this work, thermal evaporation system was employed to deposit thin films of SiC on glass substrates in order to determine the parameters of them. Measurements included transmission, absorption, Seebak effect, resistivity and conductivity, absorption coefficient, type of energy band-gap, extinction coefficient as functions of photon energy and the effect of increasing film thickness on transmittance. Results explained that SiC thin film is an n-type semiconductor of indirect energy band-gap of ${\sim}3eV$, cut-off wavelength of 448nm, absorption coefficient of $3.4395{\times}10^{4}cm^{-1}$ and extinction coefficient of 0.154. The experimental measured values are in good agreement with the typical values of SiC thin films prepared by other advanced deposition techniques.
Superconducting $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ thin films were prepared at the deposition temperature of $650^{\circ}C$ under oxygen partial pressure of 0.0126 Torr on Si(111) and SrTiO3(100) substrates by chemical vapor deposition technique using $\beta$-diketonates of Y, Ba and Cu as source materials. The thin film fabricated on $SrTiO_3(100)$ had a $T_{c,onset}$ of 91K and $T_{c.0}$ of 87K. The thin film prepared on Si(111) had a $T_{c,onset}$ of 91K but didn't have a $T_{c.0}$ at liquid nitrogen boiling point(77.3K). Dense and two-dimensionally well alligned microstructure was developed for the film deposited on $SrTiO_3(100)$ substrate whereas a relatively porous and randomly distributed microstructure was developed for the film prepared on Si(111) substrate.

This paper describes the TiW ohmic contact characteristics under the surface treatment of the polycrystalline 3C-SiC thin film grown on $SiO_2/Si(100)$ wafers by APCVD. The poly 3C-SiC surface was polished by using CMP(chemical mechanical polishing) process and then oxidized by wet-oxidation process, and finally removed SiC oxide layers. A TiW thin film as a metalization process was deposited on the surface treated poly 3C-SiC layer and was annealed through a RTA(rapid thermal annealing) process. TiW/poly 3C-SiC was investigated to get mechanical, physical, and electrical characteristics using SEM, XRD, XPS, AFM, optical microscope, I-V characteristic, and four-point probe, respectively. Contact resistivity of the surface treated 3C-SiC was measured as the lowest $1.2{\times}10^{-5}{\Omega}cm^2$ at $900^{\circ}C$ for 45 sec. Therefore, the surface treatments of poly 3C-SiC are necessary to get better contact resistance for extreme environment MEMS applications.
The (SrCa)$TiO_3$(SCT) thin films were deposited on Pt-coated electrode(Pt/TiN/$SiO_2$/Si) using RF sputtering method according to the deposition condition. The crystallinity of SCT thin films were increased with increase of deposition temperature in the temperature range of $100{\sim}500[^{\circ}C]$. The optimum conditions of RF power and Ar/$O_2$ ratio were 140[W] and 80/20, respectively. Deposition rate of SCT thin films was about $18.75[{\AA}/min]$ at the optimum condition. The composition of SCT thin films deposited on Si substrate is close to stoichiometry (1.081 in A/B ratio). The maximum dielectric constant of SCT thin film was obtained by annealing at $600[^{\circ}C]$.

Thin CrAlMgSiN films, whose composition were 30.6Cr-11.1Al-7.3Mg-1.2Si-49.8N (at.%), were deposited on steel substrates in a cathodic arc plasma deposition system. They consisted of alternating crystalline Cr-N and AlMgSiN nanolayers. After oxidation at $800^{\circ}C$ for 200 h in air, a thin oxide layer formed by outward diffusion of Cr, Mg, Al, Fe, and N, and inward diffusion of O ions. Silicon ions were relatively immobile at $800^{\circ}C$. After oxidation at $900^{\circ}C$ for 10 h in air, a thin $Cr_2O_3$ layer containing dissolved ions of Al, Mg, Si, and Fe formed. Silicon ions became mobile at $900^{\circ}C$. After oxidation at $900^{\circ}C$ for 50 h in air, a thin $SiO_2-rich$ layer formed underneath the thin $Cr_2O_3$ layer. The film displayed good oxidation resistance. The main factor that decreased the oxidation resistance of the film was the outward diffusion and subsequent oxidation of Fe at the sample surface, particularly along the coated sample edge.

This paper presents the mechanical properties of 3C-SiC thin film according to 0, 7, and 10% carrier gas $(H_2)$ concentrations using Nano Indentation. When carrier gas $(H_2)$ concentration was 10%, it has been proved that the mechanical properties, elastic modulus and hardness, of 3C-SiC are the best of them. In the case of 10% carrier gas concentration, Young's modulus and Hardness were obtained as 367 GPa and 36 GPa, respectively. When the surface roughness according to $H_2$ concentrations was investigated by AFM (atomic force microscope), when $H_2$ concentration was 10%, the roughness of 3C-SiC thin was 9.92 nm, which is also the best of them. Therefore, in order to apply poly 3C-SiC thin film to MEMS applications, $H_2$ concentration's rate should increase to obtain better mechanical properties and surface roughness.

The increasing demand for high density packaging technologies and the evolution to mixed digital and analogue devices has been the con-set of increasing research in thin film multi-layer technologies such as the passive components integration technology. In this paper, Cu and TaO thin film with RF sputtering was deposited for spiral inductor and MOM capacitor on the $SiO_2$/Si(100) substrate. MOM capacitor and spiral inductor were fabricated for L-C band pass filter by sputtering and lift-off. We are analyzed and designed thin films L-C passive components for band pass filter at 900 MHz and 1.8 GHz, important devices for mobile communication system. Based on the high-Q values of passive components, MOM capacitor and spiral inductors for L-C band pass filter, a low insertion loss of L-C passive components can be realized with a minimized chip area. The insertion loss was 3 dB for a 1.8 GHz filter, and 5 dB for a 900 MHz filter. This paper also discusses a analysis and practical design to thin-film L-C band pass filter.
